Is there are way to make the size of this dynamic, So you can drag it wider and taller, There are other boxes that seem to be frozen in size. I use this with many custom fields and it's difficult to enter data when you see what your doing.

View 2 Replies View RelatedTypically when setting up a viewport in paper space I can change the viewport type at the bottom of the properties dialog box. In 2013 the option is available, but it will always snap back to undefined. I'm sure it is a setting somewhere.
View 9 Replies View RelatedIt used to be that when you selected a ployline onscreen you could set properties for the line in the properties dialog. With this version of ACAD, if the polyline is not of uniform width on all sections then the global width option is missing from the options dialog.
I know that you can now right click and go polyline/width but i suppose i have been doing this a certain way for so long and now i cant and its annoying.
I'm using AutoCAD Architecture 2012 and Windows 7 Professional x64. Is there a way to change the default sizes of various dialog boxes? When I use the File Open dialog box, for example, I always want it to be bigger so I drag the corner to enlarge it, but the next time I call it it's back to the same default size. Can I drag it to a new size and make that stick, a variable set differently perhaps, or is something more sophisticated involved?
View 1 Replies View RelatedAmong about a dozen ACAD users in my office, one is missing the "Arch D (landscape)" paper size that accompanies the PC3 file we generally use. I have checked that the roll size and other settings in the machine in question and all of that looks good. I don't want to edit this PC3 as it works for everyone else and don't want to create a new PC3 for this one user.

I've already changed the minimum number of rows to 20, under 'Palette Behavior', under 'Quick Properties', 'Drafting Settings', and' Tools'.
I've closed and reopened Autocad several times since i've set this, but QP box will still not show more than 4 complete lines.
I've also gone to the CUI and changed the number of attributes i want to show for each different kind of entity, so i know it's not because i dont have enough lines to show....in fact, i can see a bit of the next line....i just can't drag the window any bigger!
why the script below doesn`t change Physical material properties? It changes the thickness of the part, but not material properties on the BOM...

I realize it may be a Civil3D question. When I change my drawing scale in the "Drawing Settings" dialog box to 1"=40', for example. The Annotative scale in the Properties Palette changes to 1"=40'_XREF.

Does this mean that we need to have different title blocks each time we print in an A4 paper size with different scale?

Theres no blocks, theres no 3d, its a very simple drawing but I feear its corrupted. I've tried copy/blocking the information out of it but that just makes it crash. I cant attach it its too big! Also, I get an error message when I go into my CUI to try to modify the quick properties tab. Pretty frustrating. I've attached a couple of images for reference. When trying to change the plotter name to 'Adobe PDF' I cannot get the paper size and orientation to change.
I change to 'Adobe PDF', then change the properties to ARCH D drawing size and landscape, click OK, save changes to printer config and when it returns to Plot-Model window nothing is changed.We just switched over from Windows XP to Windows7.
We would like to change a 3D drawing into a 2D drawing, so that the z co-ordinates list as elevation 0.000
As a 3D drawing, we cannot snap to the line intersections.
I used the BEDIT command (editor) on my block to modify the text size then save the block editor changes. Then use ATTSYNC to perform the changes on all existing blocks references to resize the texts, but after i complete the ATTSYNC command, the text in all the blocks disappear.

Using PROPERTIES, I can change one element at a time, but when I choose multiple objects in the drawing at the same time, PROPERTIES does not allow me to change their CELTSCALE to (say) "1". Also, this doesn't appear to be possible using the CHANGE (Properties option) command either. The latter only allows the LTSCALE to be changed (not CELTSCALE).
