I have been trying to get a planet to just spin continuously around - which I can do with a timeline animation - unfortunately the animation starts slowly at the beginning and slows down at the end - even if I loop it.
How do you get it to smoothly rotate forever without speeding up and slowing down. Someone mentioned using the graph editor - but as I said I am new to this.
Is there a tutorial for this sort of thing. I have done a lot of googling without any success.

I have a mentalray scene with a fog atmosphere effect that's giving me some trouble. I'm trying to render some particles with a Standard material that has a gradient opacity map applied...the material also has Face Map enabled. The resulted render gives me a black background around the particles (see image 01.jpg) If I disable the fog it renders fine (see image 02.jpg). Also, it works fine with scaneline.

I first saw this problem in CS2 (Windows XP, Intel P4). The radial spin blur filter introduces pixel noise at about the 8-bit level, which is horribly bad if you're expecting a smooth result out to 16 bits. It can be seen by taking a 16-bit image, applying a radial spin blur (10 degrees is fine), and then bumping the contrast way up (say using levels 125 to 130 in an area that's around 128). Zoom in to see the pixels. The image should be completely smooth but instead you'll see random dots all over. This problem was reproduced by somebody at Adobe during the CS3 beta with a promise that it would fixed for the release, but it wasn't fixed. My question: can somebody try this in CS4 and tell me if the problem has/hasn't been fixed? How about with a 32-bit image? I don't want to be suckered in to buying CS4 like I was for CS3.

I am working on a file (see attached) where I am trying to show a machine spewing out a stream of diamonds. (It is supposed to be a carbon purifier for the air, using nanotech to break the Co2, release oxygen and make diamonds as a waste product) Anyway I can get it to work to the point where i want the diamonds to now pile up on the ground. I have tried to get massFX to make the diamond particles interact with the ground plane but have had no luck so far.
I have tried to put the rigid body on the Super Spray and also on the diamond model?

I have not been able to find a way to spin an object about its center, smearing it out in the process.
I'm trying to make a circle which is white in the center, falling off to black on the edges, following a specific contour. I could use Gradient to make a rectangle and cut a narrow line out of the Gradient which I would then like to spin-about its white endpoint.
It would make a nice effect to take any image and rotate-while-smearing around some point and through some angle.

I am looking for a way to rotate a image, but not the normal clockwise rotation, rather a spin rotation. I have tried the the transform tool with slight success . imagine looking at a front view of a wheel & tire that needs turned slightly.

I'm still learning after effects and having fun with it. I'm just curious about something. Is there a way to eliminate the depth of field with particles? Example: When I zoom out with the camera in CC particle world, the particle (energy wave I create) goes blurry. Is the depth of field a default option? Cause when I create a camera the depth of field is off.

I understand how to set up a cyclic rotation for a propeller using the graph editor and post infinity, but my understanding only extends to a constant rotation speed. I'd like the rotation to start slow for about a second and then ramp up to full speed for the remainder of the clip. Is there a way to apply post infinity to selected ranges of frames, or is there a different method for achieving that effect?

Also mesher object seem to crash Vray. It'll render in scanline, but again the ID's are gone.

i'm trying to make a banner for a jewelry store and the guy wants a wire-frame diamond that rotates... i have absolutely no clue where to begin. does anyone know how to accomplish this? can it be done in photoshop/imageready?
except i want just the wire-frame of the diamond, not actual shading, and also maybe have the diamond rotated 45 degrees to the left.

I've almost finished making my intro with a shatter effect finish, but the final few frames renders the axis lines with the shatter particles.
Here's a frame example:
Those lines are damn ugly... is there a way of fixing this? Custom shatter map is done via a fractal noise and colorama effect.

The cursor changes from the pointer into the spinning balls as if PS is applying a filter or preparing to save, However I can still use the the tool while this is happening to brush or clone. For example when I use the clone tool (9 out of 10 times this is when it occurs) and im working on something quite delicate and the cursor changes to the spinning balls I am still able to carry on cloning but it very difficult to keep my accuracy because you cant see where your cloning.
Initially I thought I could just ignore it and it would only happen every so often and maybe for a second or two, but its quite frequent and and does last a while. Added to that the annoying disappearing cursor trick that also keeps happening, it all making PS very frustrating to use at the moment.

Both CC and CS6 have been hanging up with the spinning beach ball. At first it's when I try to save a psd document. Haven't tried other formats. After it hangs up, I have to Force Quit and Restart. Then I can't even get Photoshop to open. It gives me the beachball during the load screen.
I did load the new update to CC this morning before this started happening. I've even wiped and restored my Start Up Drive thinking something was amiss there.
The link below contains the problem report.
