Photoshop :: Spinning Beachball Crash

Both CC and CS6 have been hanging up with the spinning beach ball. At first it's when I try to save a psd document. Haven't tried other formats. After it hangs up, I have to Force Quit and Restart. Then I can't even get Photoshop to open. It gives me the beachball during the load screen.
I did load the new update to CC this morning before this started happening. I've even wiped and restored my Start Up Drive thinking something was amiss there.

I'm very new to using Photoshop CS. I want to create a spinning jpg image. I want the jpg to continually spin through it's centre axis. Is it possible to join four of these up to play one after the other and make one long animation?

The cursor changes from the pointer into the spinning balls as if PS is applying a filter or preparing to save, However I can still use the the tool while this is happening to brush or clone. For example when I use the clone tool (9 out of 10 times this is when it occurs) and im working on something quite delicate and the cursor changes to the spinning balls I am still able to carry on cloning but it very difficult to keep my accuracy because you cant see where your cloning.
Initially I thought I could just ignore it and it would only happen every so often and maybe for a second or two, but its quite frequent and and does last a while. Added to that the annoying disappearing cursor trick that also keeps happening, it all making PS very frustrating to use at the moment.

CS6 crashes on selecting any tool. It displays a spinning ball and can only be force quit. It developed this fault spontaneously. Where should I start searching? I repaired permissions, cleaned up the whole system, uninstalled and reinstalled Photoshop.

I cleared out my cache folders from Premire Pro and Encore recently. Now when ever I'm in Photoshop I am consistently getting the spinning pinwheel on very simple edits.

Example, I open a very small JPG, and add a box to it. Just dragging the box, I will get a spinning pinwheel. I don't get it on any other applications.

How to apply forces to a component who is spinning. More specific i am interested in the centrifugal loads distributed over the component.
Take an inducer wheel for a turbocharger. It is a complicated component and very difficult to calculate by hand. it is spinning with high revs, and the rev limit it set by the centrifugal forces acting.

As stated earlier I am using a Mac book Pro 2.66 Ghz Intel Core i7 / memory 8gb 1067 MHz DDR3 / Running on Snow Leopard 10.6.8 Also
The external hard drive is connected to the firewire port and yes it is 7200RPM 1.5TB
Whenever I do a couple of editing functions with smoke, all of a sudden things freeze up as I see the multi color spinning wheel appear on the Mac, thus causing me to do a force shut down.
Do I need to upgrade the Mac, operating software or?

I have an IGES-file 270 MB large, i can open it in a lot of 3D programs, but when i want to open the file in Inventor 2012 the circle-icon keeps on spinning. But no result.

I'd like to be able to import these onto the timeline and have it play thru the images by turning them on/off at the correct time. PS CS2 just up and stopped working.
I can no longer create new images or open existing ones. Instant crash 100% of the time.
I have done everything I can think of..... including....
re-installed it.
uninstalled, then done full re-install
Uninstalled it...then...
Bought Norton, ran everything
Bought System Works, ran everything
Ran Memory & HD tests
Defragged the drive
Full re-installation......... same deal.

If the file size is larger than 15MB it crashes before it opens the file.I fixed this the first time by reinstalling my OS.I fixed this the second time by moving my files from their folder to the desktop then opened it from there.I can't seam to fix this for the third time and I'm soooo frustrated. Am a loyal Adobe customer. Have had PS since 1997 starting with PS 4.0. Upgraded very year up to PS CS. Then my wife became ill with breast cancer (died in 2008 from it), lost my job, lost our family home to for closure in 2010, my 20 year old son diagnosed with luekemia in 2011 (still fighting on chemo) yada yada yada.

Bottom line, I cannot afford to upgrade my Acrobat Pro, my Photoshop, my Premier etc etc etc.We sometimes don't have enough money to eat.

So my pc crashed the the other week. I just finished rebuilding using a new hard drive, Photoshp CS in installed again, and running perfectly. BUT I keep getting a need to activate alert. And can't do it.

I consistently get this crash 3-5 times a day, if not more. Happens when dragging over images from Windows Explorer and dropping into a PSD. Or if I select color picker. And random other misc. tasks that seem to trigger a crash. It's to the point where I sometimes might have 3-5 recovered PSD files.

Recently downloaded CC incl. PS, LR, BR. They all work fine except PS. As soon as I launch it it crashes. Happens in less thana second. What's going on here? Can I re-download PS?
