Am a loyal Adobe customer. Have had PS since 1997 starting with PS 4.0. Upgraded very year up to PS CS. Then my wife became ill with breast cancer (died in 2008 from it), lost my job, lost our family home to for closure in 2010, my 20 year old son diagnosed with luekemia in 2011 (still fighting on chemo) yada yada yada.
Â
Bottom line, I cannot afford to upgrade my Acrobat Pro, my Photoshop, my Premier etc etc etc.We sometimes don't have enough money to eat.

So my pc crashed the the other week. I just finished rebuilding using a new hard drive, Photoshp CS in installed again, and running perfectly. BUT I keep getting a need to activate alert. And can't do it.
looking for Help>Activate so that I can activate my apparently successfully installed Photoshop CS3 on a new Advent computer with Vista 64. Since I don't yet have a working internet connection for it, I'd left activating CS3 'til I could do it over the phone.
So, despite looking through Help, all I can find is the 'Activate the Software' page which just tells you to go to 'Help>Activate'. Where on earth have they hidden it? Am I going blind? I have tried Window>Workspace>Reset Menu, but no difference.
My Photoshop cs5 extended locked up. When I restarted my notebook, I received a message: your computer config changed.
When I tried to re-activate, I received a message: activation system is not available at this time. I have my serial number but I do not have my activation code. What is my next step. I did register my Photoshop with adobe when I purchased it.
I am currently using Windows 7 and have to use Windows XP mode to use my Photoshop CS. My Windows XP mode became corrupt so I uninstalled it and re-installed. When I re-installed Photoshop CS I was unable to activate it online or by the automated phone sytem. I went and did a live chat with Adobe support..I know my Photoshop CS is old, but I still need it. I am the only user it ever had. It is registered under my name.Â
If I download the trial of PS CS4 Extended and then later purchase the full version can I use the key from the full version to activate the trial? Or would I have to uninstall the trial and install the full version?
I just brought Golive through the internet (education prices rule). They sent me the activtion code through email and are posting the software.
I have the trial version but the activation area is greyed out. Is there anyway of activation it or do I need to wait until the box arrives and reinstall the software?
I have an HP Touchsmart PC and I have installed CS6. I want to draw on my sreen in photoshop but when I select the brush tool and touch the screen it just pans.Â
I can use the brush tool with my mouse but I need to know how to get it to work with the tablet screen.
Have replaced my laptop and set it up from the laptop to be replaced. Unfortunately i forgot to deactivate PS on the old laptop before this setup. Now PS does not work on the new laptop, even as I have deactivated it on the old laptop in the mean time.
Tried unsucessfully to activate the software after on the new laptop.Do I have to reinstall all from the original dvd? Or does another way exist to enter the activation number?
I have had my second activation of Photoshop CS 5 on a backup computer that has no internet connection. I needed to change the operating system (Windows 7 Home to Windows 7 Professional). I called up Adobe, and told the technician that I was de-activating CS 5, reformatting the hard drive, then I was going to re-activate Photoshop. He gave me a case number so that the next technician could easily understand what I was doing and what I needed.  The first time I installed Photoshop on this backup computer, I contacted Customer Service. The technician had me do several things to get to an activation screen. I gave him both the serial number and an installation code. He then used them to generate a unique activation code, which I typed in to activate Photoshop. I had Photoshop on that computer, working, for a year.  I called on August 30, after the re-formatting and installing the new operating system, I called Customer Service to get re-activating Photoshop.  The first technician said I could not reactivate Photoshop. The second technician said it could be done, but not at his level and he would escalate the case, and someone would call me.After no calls, I tried again on 09/05. I was transferred to the manager. He said it could not be done, but he would escalate the case to the "expert team," and that someone from that team would call me "tomorrow" (09/06).Â
Along the way, one technician said I did not need to reactivate Photoshop because when I called about deactivating Photoshop, that technician assigned a special number that would obviate the need to reactivate. How did my computer, off-line, and my software, on a proprietary disk, know that number?
I tried to activate the Help Screen on the Photoshop CS2 (Running on Windows 7) and was unable to use it. It was operating before but now I get this. I press Yes to get it to work, now it doesn't  What happened, and how do I correct it?
Error Message is Configuration Error Please uninstall and reinstall this product. If the problem still occurs contact Adobe ... and mention error 16. that is Permissions eror but I have repaired permissions several times and Verified Disk (OK) Applecare Senior adviser says it is in the Installer bu, of course, has no idea what.  Have been on the phone twice with India and once with the Philippines .. lots of time, lots of tinkeringÂ
I am no closer to activating CS6.I do not have an internet connection on the machine I am installing it on. I have the disk. But, no way to activate it. Â Spent an hour waiting for the adobe installer to download on this machine and it never gave a code - couldn't even find one.How do I activate CS6 - or did I waste the money and need to send the disk back and quit this stuff?
I'm trying to activate my PhotoshopCX1 on a clean install of Windows 7, which reactivated online immediately. The support tech tells me Windows 7 is no longer supported!
I tell him he needs my activation numbers, then he has to give me the code. And it works.Case # 2079 74965 in the hope that anyne from Adobe monitors these posts.I've been using Photoshop, Mac and Windows, since V3.5..I go throiugh a lot of computers. Reactvation since CX is a nightmare
I recently performed a "Windows Restore" operation on my Compaq. Now whenever I launch Photoshop CS2, I get a message saying this (to effect):"The required user name and licence key have been lost, and this program must close."Right after displaying that message in a dialog box, Photoshop closes--giving me no opportunity to insert my license key. How do I get my license key inserted and Photoshop working normally again?
My Pc was hacked and I had to recover the hard drive for nothing because I was still having problems. I took it to a local tech to fix it and he installed Windows 8.1. I have been unable to activate Photoshop since then.
