Photoshop :: How To Prevent CS4 From Crashing
Oct 15, 2012When I open CS4, it crashes with out an error message box coming up. The second attempt, it crashes with the message box saying, Error 150:30, Licensing for this product has stopped working.
I then have to go to the hard drive > library > application support > Flexnet publisher and delete it. I then can open up CS4 and it stays open. I have had to do this procedure for many months. I am using Mac OS.6.8. Is there a way of preventing CS4 from crashing without having to go through this procedure?

Feb 11, 2013Running Windows 7 64 bit, has been fine up until a few days ago after I had a virus. I have uninstalled, used the photoshop clean up tool and reinstalled, still the same problem. CS4 is working fine but I can't get CS5 to work, it crashes on start up with the following details.

I've tried to hold command, option + shift on startup to delete the prefs, but it doesn't even get that far. I've also re-booted in safe mode and this allows it to open (but then hangs and crashes)

Jun 21, 2013I installed both PS CC and BR CC for a second time and received and installed the first updates for CR 8.1 but still I cannot open PS CC without it closing on me immediately again. And when I try to open any photo in PS CC from Bridge CC I get asked if I want to save that file before I close PS CC. With no alternative to do anything else.

Sep 28, 2013I have a Windows 8 computer, and I have been using the trial version of Photoshop to make gifs. Recently, photoshop will keep freezing at random points while making a gif. Today I was saving a gif for the web; I fixed the size and hit save and it never saved and photoshop would not close unless I turned off my computer.
Also today, while i was trying to open my files and add something to the gif I was making it froze again, and ended up closing while a messaged poped up and said something along the lines of "this program has stopped unexpectedly, microsoft will close the program and let you know if a solution was found."

Jun 4, 2013I experienced this issue with Gimp 2.6 whenever I had a lot of brushes in the brush folder. The only way I found to avoid the problem was to have less brushes in it. As a result, I never got to really use all of them like I had intended to.
The current version I'm using is 2.8. I updated Gimp because I saw the tagging system. I figured it'd be easier to locate the brushes I want to use. The program worked fine up until I added more folders to the brush folder to take advantage of the tagging system. Now the start-up freezes and crashes when it's updating the tagging cache.
In general, Gimp seems to get mad at me when I add a crap ton more than it's comfortable with.

Nov 30, 2013I was looking for a video editing program, and after reading good reviews for VSP x6 I downloaded the trial. It installed and started up the first time fine without any problems. I was able tinker with the program and began to like it.
However, I closed it out to take a break, then came back to it (same day, and hour later) now every time on startup it hangs on the overlayed "Corel Guide" flash intro. The window pops up and allows navigation of the "Corel Guide" and I am able to click-through of the links, but it will not collapse the guide or let me use the actual program at all. I also can not close the program either without using task manager. I am only on day 1 of the 30 day trial. I have attached a screenshot.
My cpu should be able to handle the program without a problem, it is running Win7 64bit, with 16GB Ram, AMD Phenom II x6 Processor, 3.20Ghz

Aug 25, 2011When I launch X3 I get a popup window "Messages" which has been blank/empty and you have to click on close to start VS X3. I already removed the checkmark in message preference. How do you get rid of this from constantly popping up on startup? Is this related to the constant error message I get whenever I exit out of X3?

I then added chapters and chose a menu (tried several) and then selected Burn to folder and normalize audio but just NOTHING happens after 3% (which appears immediately) have tried different videos and menus - none get processed. The CPU runs at 100% BTW I am processing thi on my laptop Win 7 (32 bit) Toshiba with 3 GB RAM and a IGB GPU so do not go by my profile

VideoStudio :: Possible To Output To 640x480 WMV Using Trial Version
May 19, 2006Video Studio v10 Trial . . Under Share / Create Video, there are WMV output resolution options available that exceed 320x480 (ie 1280x768), however when I choose any of these options, the standard result that I get is 208x160. Additionally, Share Video Online / Best Quality is supposed to output a file at 640 x 480, however I am only getting a 208x160 WMV resolution file. I have simplified my testing by only using a single 2816x2112 image displaying itself for 10 seconds .I am using a Trial version, however I can't find anything on ULead's site to support my theory.

May 26, 2011I bought a full copy of Videostudio Pro X4 about a month ago after experimenting with the trial version for a good while, and it was all running smoothly until I was adding some rain effects to a rather large movie, and it said something along the lines of not enough space to load something, and then all the FX thumbnails disappeared. When i closed the program and tried to reopen it, it said "Error loading from stream" followed by a "Videostudio Pro has encountered an unspecific error and needs to close, please contact Corel Support and include a copy of the Dump file.". And now every time I try to load the program it gives me this error, and thats without loading the actual project that the file had the initial error on. All the files within the folder were captured via VS either as Video or as Stop-Motion so are under the default settings as I havent changed them or converted them atall.
I cant find anything on the knowledge base about this, and neither on these forums. I'm unsure how I send the Dump File, which I have found to Corel? I'm abit confused from the warranty support bit of the page where it says about having a one-off chance to contact them? So obviously I dont want to mess up my one chance so thought I'd check here what to do next!
A re-install of the program seems the logical next step but will I lose my project?
VideoStudio :: System Audio Not Found - Mic Works - X5 Pro Trial
Jul 16, 2012I am an experienced user of X4 who needs to upgrade due to needing screen capture features. X5 download trial Install went fine, X5 works well on everything so far except the feature I need. I have disabled UAC, Run all programs as an admin. My system, while old, is capable enough. I use Win 7 64.
When using screen capture it will not capture system audio. I tested the mic and audio while in screen capture "settings" and while the mic works and records, X5 throws a "system audio not found" prompt when clicking on the system audio check. Again, microphone works fine.
Outside of X5, I checked and tested sys audio and it is working. In fact I tried a screen capture with Fraps and it records game audio and voice fine. In fact, while using the screen capture setting I can hear both the mic and voice perfectly.
VideoStudio :: V15 Trial / Creating Video File In HDV Format?
May 30, 2012I own VS 12, and when I work with HDV footage, I'm able to create an HDV video file either with MPEG optimizer or Same as first video clip. The project smart renders and I get HDV file. I've downloaded VS 15 trial as a test, as it has some additional features I'm interested in. However, with the VS 15 trial, following the same steps produces a file formatted as NTSC DVD 4:3 and no smart render. Am I missing something or is this a bug/limitation of the trial? Corel says the trial is fully functional. I'm running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit i5 4 GB ram. I even tried installing the VS 15 trial on my old XP laptop and had the same issue.

Feb 15, 2012I installed Corel Video Studio Pro X4 Ultimate on my laptop at the end of last year and up until now it has been working fine. Because I was not happy with the final dvd of hd footage (I don't have a blu ray burner) despite trying all the settings I purchased Pinnacle Studio 15 ultimate because that seems to give a better result when burned to disc. At first Pinnacle was not working in that all of its elements were not accessible so I was editing my footage in Corel and then burning the end result in Pinnacle. Having gone on to the Pinnacle Forums I was advised to change from the default computer desktop theme of Aero to Windows Classic and change the display to smaller - 100%. This solved all the problems with Pinnacle and it is now working properly. However, when I tried to open Corel it came up with the message Corel Video Studio Pro has stopped working, close the programme. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it and it still refuses to open up. Until changing the desktop theme Pinnacle and Corel did not appear to conflict with each other so I had no reason to think there would be a problem running the two applications.
I have taken a screenshot of the error message but cant seem to paste it to the post.
I now am running a Core i7 -2760 QM CPU @ 2.40 GHZ laptop
16gb RAM
Windows 7 Home Premium
64 bit

Apr 29, 2010I've download X3 Pro on a free trial to see what it can do before I buy. I've tried doing a few things.
Photo montage against a video track (default movie reel supplied in VS).
Tried a HD def video single video track about 50 seconds long using output from a Go Pro Hero HD
Tried a video in multiple formats using Main video and combinations of overlays (1 or 2) with video in corners or elsewhere.
Sometimes it works but more often than not it crashes out and creates a dump file.
Details of the files I'm playing with when it comes to video.
They are MP4 files directly out of the go pro - (i'll get additional shortly when i return home).
I am running x3 pro downloaded directly from Corel with a 'check updates patch' installed.
I have directx 11.
I'll supply more info shortly when I'm back in front of the machine.

Oct 23, 2010I just tried to burn a DVD for the first time on my new computer and it keeps getting to "output disc" and crashing. A Windows message pops up saying it had a problem and needs to close the program. Is this something with Windows 7? I've already updated my VS x2 and directX.

Aug 27, 2012Whenever I try to capture anything from VHS > DV > Firewire to my PC VS crashes hard core. Everything freezes and it reboots.
i7-2700K I have Two brand new 4th generation SSD (Vertex 4's) in RAID 0, Read and writes @ 1GB/sec I have 16GB of RAM, 2133, half is a RAMdrive (temp). This reads and writes @ 5GB/sec. I usually write to this because there is no possible chance of bottleneck. Though I've tried SSD or HDD write too. Top of the line everything else, MB, sound, etc. How the hell much more power do I need?
Can't believe the FREE 100Kb WinDV can capture for 8 hours + no hiccups, no lost frames, but the second I try to capture, even go into capture mode with VS14 it starts to stall, crash, choke up and eventually reboot the whole F%^&$%^ machine, leaving my 6TB RAID 5 to have to rebuild.
