Jun 6, 2013We are launching Autocad 2014 in a multiuser environment and trying to determine how to stop the WELCOME screen from appearing.
The /nologo switch is for a different screen. Need per user or prefer per computer registry setting to turn off the Welcome Screen.
Thought it was InfoCenteron key,set to 0, but that was not it.
Thought it might be MC3 key, but not there either.
VideoStudio :: X4 Crashes On Startup?
Aug 13, 2011I've been using VSX4 for about 4 weeks without any problems, aside from the very occasionaly crash. The last time I used it was three days ago.
I've tried to use it today to find it crashes at startup every time. I have restarted my PC several times to no avail. As far as I can recall, I have not installed anything in the last three days, or updated drivers.
I have uninstalled and then reinstalled. Again, to no avail.
VSX4 creates a dump file each time, which I can't view in any software I have.
I have tried contacting Corel but get a very cryptic message that a case has been created then "Case creation fail" message!

VideoStudio :: Pro X6 Frozen On Startup?
Nov 30, 2013I was looking for a video editing program, and after reading good reviews for VSP x6 I downloaded the trial. It installed and started up the first time fine without any problems. I was able tinker with the program and began to like it.
However, I closed it out to take a break, then came back to it (same day, and hour later) now every time on startup it hangs on the overlayed "Corel Guide" flash intro. The window pops up and allows navigation of the "Corel Guide" and I am able to click-through of the links, but it will not collapse the guide or let me use the actual program at all. I also can not close the program either without using task manager. I am only on day 1 of the 30 day trial. I have attached a screenshot.
My cpu should be able to handle the program without a problem, it is running Win7 64bit, with 16GB Ram, AMD Phenom II x6 Processor, 3.20Ghz

Aug 25, 2011When I launch X3 I get a popup window "Messages" which has been blank/empty and you have to click on close to start VS X3. I already removed the checkmark in message preference. How do you get rid of this from constantly popping up on startup? Is this related to the constant error message I get whenever I exit out of X3?

May 26, 2011I bought a full copy of Videostudio Pro X4 about a month ago after experimenting with the trial version for a good while, and it was all running smoothly until I was adding some rain effects to a rather large movie, and it said something along the lines of not enough space to load something, and then all the FX thumbnails disappeared. When i closed the program and tried to reopen it, it said "Error loading from stream" followed by a "Videostudio Pro has encountered an unspecific error and needs to close, please contact Corel Support and include a copy of the Dump file.". And now every time I try to load the program it gives me this error, and thats without loading the actual project that the file had the initial error on. All the files within the folder were captured via VS either as Video or as Stop-Motion so are under the default settings as I havent changed them or converted them atall.
I cant find anything on the knowledge base about this, and neither on these forums. I'm unsure how I send the Dump File, which I have found to Corel? I'm abit confused from the warranty support bit of the page where it says about having a one-off chance to contact them? So obviously I dont want to mess up my one chance so thought I'd check here what to do next!
A re-install of the program seems the logical next step but will I lose my project?

Feb 15, 2012I installed Corel Video Studio Pro X4 Ultimate on my laptop at the end of last year and up until now it has been working fine. Because I was not happy with the final dvd of hd footage (I don't have a blu ray burner) despite trying all the settings I purchased Pinnacle Studio 15 ultimate because that seems to give a better result when burned to disc. At first Pinnacle was not working in that all of its elements were not accessible so I was editing my footage in Corel and then burning the end result in Pinnacle. Having gone on to the Pinnacle Forums I was advised to change from the default computer desktop theme of Aero to Windows Classic and change the display to smaller - 100%. This solved all the problems with Pinnacle and it is now working properly. However, when I tried to open Corel it came up with the message Corel Video Studio Pro has stopped working, close the programme. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it and it still refuses to open up. Until changing the desktop theme Pinnacle and Corel did not appear to conflict with each other so I had no reason to think there would be a problem running the two applications.
I have taken a screenshot of the error message but cant seem to paste it to the post.
I now am running a Core i7 -2760 QM CPU @ 2.40 GHZ laptop
16gb RAM
Windows 7 Home Premium
64 bit
VideoStudio :: How To Disable SmartRendering By Default In X5
Nov 20, 2012I am making videos out of Corel VideoStudio X5 and would like to configure the software so that by default, it does not have the SmartRender option selected.
Sometimes I forget to click that OPTIONS button to go into the config screen where I need to uncheck the SmartRender box.
I'd like it so that every time I create a file, that SmartRender box is unchecked by default so that I don't have to remember to click that Options button and perform the change each and every time.
Is there a way to do that?

Jan 2, 2013Did you notice that when trying to grab a node on the audio line (especially near the end of the clip) the graphic tip that pops up saying "Delete the control by dragging outside the clip" ACTUALLY PREVENTS ONE FROM GRABBING THE DARN NODE TO DO ANYTHING WITH IT ! (Just shouting at my own computer here).
Is it my computer putting these annoying popup tips on the screen or is there a way in VS to turn them off.

The question is, "Is it possible to completely disable re-scaling image on the import?"
It seems like it has only 2 options, "Fit to project" and "Keep aspect ratio".
What I want is something "Keep source resolution" because when I put an image of a map, which is 2 or 3 times larger than the project resolution, the image become completely useless due to the re-scaling.
Now, again, is there way to ditch this re-scaling?

The Adobe Photoshop CC 14.1.1 (14.1.1.415) crashes immediately on startup under OS X 10.8.5 unless I am running logged into the root account. This happens when I try to run Adobe Creative Cloud.app as a standard user or as a user with admin privileges.
In other words, the only way I am able to run the Adobe Photoshop CC application is if I take the dangerious option of enablign the root account, logging into it and then directly running the application.
how I can run Adobe Photoshop CC without having to both enable and login to the root account.

Photoshop :: CS6 - Very Slow Startup?
Jul 2, 2012I've just applied the latest update, but am experiencing very slow image loading times between LR 4.1 and CS6 Extended edition. I am using an iMac 27 2.8Ghz with 8Gig of System Ram, over 300Gig of HDD free space.
Upon selecting edit-in CS6 with an image in LR 4.1, CS6 starts up with a long splash screen, loads, then I get a spinning grey circle, then CS6 loads on the desktop, then I get a colored spinning circle, before my image finally appears.
I have performance set to an external scratch disk witih 624G of free space, 5644 MB of memory usage at 74%, HS at 30 CL at 7 CTS at 1028K
I have CS5 still installed and it's load times are about twice as fast as CS 6

Oct 11, 2012Know it's old, but have been using Photoshop CS 8.0 on office Mac Pro and home iMac for years with no problems. OSX is 10.5.8 Leopard. Still works fine on Mac Pro, but has just started crashing at startup on iMac for no apparent reason. Graphic layout comes up and then shuts down. Reinstalled the application with same result.

Apr 5, 2013When I launch PS CS6, I see the splash screen, and then the workspace, and then the program immediately crashes. I have verified that this is happening with all user accounts. OS is 10.7.5, PS version is 13.0.4. All of the other programs in the Production suite launch without a problem. Here is the crash report:

Dec 27, 2008Using Vista 64-bit, installed PS CS4 the other day. I have been using the 64 bit version fine with no problems. However, I downloaded a plugin that only works in the 32-bit version, so I tried to launch the 32-bit version from the start menu, and the splash screen comes up for a few seconds, then an error message saying "Adobe Photoshop CS4 has stopped working". The splash screen is stuck on "Building TWAIN menu items..." This also happens when I try to start the program from the photoshop.exe in Program Files (x86) folder.

Photoshop :: CS Very Slow Startup
Feb 29, 2008I'm running CS on a XP Pro SP2 PC, and have been running it since 2004 with no problems until last fall.
For no reason I can figure out it stopped starting up. No new software, no viruses, I checked. I would get just a grey window with no credits and eventually I'd hit ctrl+alt+del and see that the program wasn't responding.
I've uninstalled it completely, having to reactivate it upon re-install. I've removed my preferences. I've manually uninstalled it and re-installed it.
Now it runs, but after clicking the icon it takes over 2min 15 sec before I even see the credits window. then several seconds later it's up and running.
Illustrator CS2 starts up completely as normal.
