I saw a thread that had something to do with X4 and .mp4 issues involving some other software or something? I'm using barebones X3 and when trying to add some .mp4 files, X3 crashes. Some of them work and are added to the library, but most do not and crash X3.
I just tried to burn a DVD for the first time on my new computer and it keeps getting to "output disc" and crashing. A Windows message pops up saying it had a problem and needs to close the program. Is this something with Windows 7? I've already updated my VS x2 and directX.
Whenever I try to capture anything from VHS > DV > Firewire to my PC VS crashes hard core. Everything freezes and it reboots.
i7-2700K I have Two brand new 4th generation SSD (Vertex 4's) in RAID 0, Read and writes @ 1GB/sec I have 16GB of RAM, 2133, half is a RAMdrive (temp). This reads and writes @ 5GB/sec. I usually write to this because there is no possible chance of bottleneck. Though I've tried SSD or HDD write too. Top of the line everything else, MB, sound, etc. How the hell much more power do I need?
Can't believe the FREE 100Kb WinDV can capture for 8 hours + no hiccups, no lost frames, but the second I try to capture, even go into capture mode with VS14 it starts to stall, crash, choke up and eventually reboot the whole F%^&$%^ machine, leaving my 6TB RAID 5 to have to rebuild.

How long Corel take to send out disc? Im waiting for a VS5 Pro ultimate? i bought VS4 a couple of weeks before they released VS5 & Corel done a deal!
Using X5 pro with the updates applied. Over several versions and several years, I developed the habit of converting the video .MOD files created by a JVC camcorder to .mpg before doing any editing using them. For the purpose of this topic, the reasons for that are unimportant. But for the first time, in the last few days I needed to get several basic projects done quickly and elected to bypass this mechanism and work directly with the .MOD files in the edit mode.
And as a result, I am seeing for the first time intermittent crashing of X5 during an edit phase. It's happening on different source files and vsp project files. Never at the same place in a project file, nor during the same action activity. Occurs during clip mode and project mode.
When it happens, the X5 desktop just 'whites out' - the outline of the program desktop is discernable, but barely. The only way out is to kill the program and re-start. Wait long enough and windows will present that option anyway. If one has saved the vsp file (repeatedly) during edit, restart does not lose much. Otherwise - begin again from scratch.
My Corel VS X6 Pro is crashing during a MPEG-4 1920x1080 export at 69% complete. Happened twice in a row. The error message refers to this dump file. I have been able to export this same video before, this just started happening.
I tried to add the dump file as an attachment but the .DMP extension is not allowed.

I am having massive issues with my brand new version of VideoStudio Pro x4 crashing when I try do to the following : import jpgs, create a video file, upload a file to youtube (it will create the mp4 file but says cannot create the waveform). I am running this on Windows Vista Sony Vaio All in one with a 2.5 ghz processor. I am trying to create a 6 screen split screen video. It also seems to be degrading my vid quality. I tried to submit a case to your support team and both times it says case failed.
The errors I am getting is "unspecified error, send dump file to Corel for analysis."
Then it shuts down.
I am planning to wipe and reload this puter and set it up for Windows 7 , I know I have one issue with uploading ( I have something in the background that is choking my upload speed. yes we have run everything to figure out what it is, when I run it in safe mode I don't have the problem."
The all in one does not have a graphics card but that should not be causing issues with importing jpgs.
I had VisualStudio x5 working fine on my Windows 8 Pro machine. I've been using this for a few months without issue. I imported some video from my phone in .MOV format, and had the message that I needed install quicktime to work with this video. I did so, edited video, and posted it.
However when I then imported video from my Canon camcorder, AVCHD format, I received a crash dump in trying to play any of the clips. What's strange is that I was able to look at old sections of clips I'd saved and play them find. Only the newer clips were an issue. I suspected corrupt files, re-imported things and it didn't work. I even recorded new video and that didn't work. I was up to date on patches from Corel, according to the product.
I was in a bind, so I decided to upgrade to x6, even though none of the features were really important. I upgraded, imported the same videos I'd had issue with in x5 and they worked. Problem solved, or so I thought.
I had to run x5 to access some old clips to put together a short reel. I did that and things worked fine. I then went back to x6 and received crash dumps on all imported files, including the video I had just imported. I can still play the edited pieces of clips I separated out in x6, but I cannot play any full clips.
I've rebooted multiple times, removed quicktime, uninstalled and reinstalled x6, no go.
I recently installed VideoStudio Pro X3. Whenever I play back anything I tried edit the program crashes and a dump file error shows. I have tried using the smart proxy without success. I am trying to edit HD files *.mov. The files are only a couple of minutes so that should not be an issue. I also tried closing all other programs. When I try and playback I can only see a couple of seconds before it crashes. I am wondering if my computer does not have the resources to edit HD. I have 1024 MB of Ram.
I'm using VideoStudio X3 and installed SP2, but creating AVCHD files constantly crashes machine.Using AVCHD videos and overlaying text, then outputting using preset AVCHD > PAL HD 1440
99% of time just crashes, which makes program unusable!!
I edited a wedding video that is over 90 minutes long (it was a wedding in Ireland). It was filmed in AVCHD on a pro video camera.
I wanted to produce a standard DVD and a Blu Ray copy to send over. The DVD copy rendered fine but the Blu Ray as well as the AVCHD file crashed every time and even crashed the computer to re-start. It crashed at around 30% in and I tried a number of different combinations to accomplish this render.
What I then did after a few attempts was to look at the last frame of the couple of files it did render to see where on the time line it was crashing.
It turned out it was on a transition I customised, I think using proDAD VitaScene. It was a transition that created a twinkling star effect from one scene to the next. As soon as I removed this one transition and it rendered a Blu Ray file with no problems at all.
One question though, I am not sure why there are so many choices of Blu Ray and AVCHD in the menu. What is the difference and which one would be the generally used one.
cleaned up the fonts and its still crashing by simply scrolling thru to find a file to open and to make matters worse, my CS2 which hardly ever crashed now crashes just opening it. I am rather beside myself, I have an iMac running 10.6.8 with 4GB of memory. I would love to copy and paste the crash report but it's not letting me do that.
My Photoshop CC on my Mac (10.8.4) started acting up yesterday. I have tried to validate fonts, reset fonts to default, remove preferences file, restarting, signing out and quitting CC then signing back in, uninstalling the new fonts I installed yesterday, but nothing so far has worked.
I've been running CS5 on my Win 7 64 bit Asus laptop for 6 months without an issue. All of a sudden CS5 has started to crash when I run Photomerge, view the System Info, etc.
I have updated the Intel HD 3000 driver. I have updated CS5. I have uninstalled and reinstalled CS5. I have disabled OpenGL.
CS2 Photoshop is crashing quite often on a Macbook Pro.
PS 9.0.2 (no available updates) OSX 10.6.8 (using Rosetta obviously) 2.7Ghz Core2Duo 4GB RAM
I've tried reinstalling CS2, reparing premissions and a new user account.
The issue can occur when opening the program, opening a file or doing nearly any action when a file is open. No specific file seems to be causing it, sometimes it will run without a problem for an entire day and other it's constantly crashing.
Here is one of the crash logs from the OSX diaglog after PS has crashed:
I downloaded the Photoshop CC/LR5 combo a few days ago, and since then the programs have been crashing my PC. (I've attached a screenshot.) This has happened at least 8 times, twice already this morning. Before I upgraded, I was using CS3 and LR4 and never had this issue.
3. the screen goes BLACK (dies) but the keyboard is still lit up, i can't do anything except force shutdown the computer
at first i didn't know what was causing it, but after it happen over 20 times while scaling an image (dragging by the corner) i am sure it is due to photoshop.
I'm running mac OS X 10.6.8 ... this is super annoying as i am losing files and time!!
As soon as I open a photo an resize it, the most basic function that I can think of for this product... it crashes I have run updates, I have looked through all of the forums here etc Nothing that relates to me or that has worked so far.
I just joined Creative Cloud. I uninstalled my trial versions of CS6 (which were working just fine) and then installed CC versions of them. After Effects CC is working great. Photoshop CC, however, keeps on quitting the moment I try do something like apply an effect or resize the image. I'm not get a crash report from the Adobe Crash Reporter so here's the Apple crash report. I'm running 10.8.4 on a mid-2012 MacBook Pro '13 i5.

I open say a blank canvas 20x20 then open a photo I wish to transfer onto it. On the photo create a background copy and select the move tool, once the photo is on the canvas I then select the resize tool to make the photo small on the work area and then everytime is stops working and say a fault has occured photoshop will now close?
I have been having a lot of crashes lately at seemingly random times. I could be changing the opacity of a layer and it crashes, using puppet warp and it crashes, using free transform, so it doesn't seem to be a particular feature that is crashing it. Below is the error I get in Windows Event Viewer:
Every time I use the type tool, the crop tool and HDR merge the app crashes, i'm currently using the trial version and this is not encouraging me to buy the upgrade from CS4 which i'm very happy with and never have these sort of problems.
Everytime I launch Photoshop it starts to load... I get the starting splash screen... then it completely shuts down with no error messages or anything. It was working just fine yesterday. Does anybody have any ideas as to why this would start happening all of the sudden?
