I've been running CS5 on my Win 7 64 bit Asus laptop for 6 months without an issue. All of a sudden CS5 has started to crash when I run Photomerge, view the System Info, etc.
Â
I have updated the Intel HD 3000 driver.
I have updated CS5.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled CS5.
I have disabled OpenGL.
cleaned up the fonts and its still crashing by simply scrolling thru to find a file to open and to make matters worse, my CS2 which hardly ever crashed now crashes just opening it. I am rather beside myself, I have an iMac running 10.6.8 with 4GB of memory. I would love to copy and paste the crash report but it's not letting me do that.
My Photoshop CC on my Mac (10.8.4) started acting up yesterday. I have tried to validate fonts, reset fonts to default, remove preferences file, restarting, signing out and quitting CC then signing back in, uninstalling the new fonts I installed yesterday, but nothing so far has worked.

CS2 Photoshop is crashing quite often on a Macbook Pro. Â PS 9.0.2 (no available updates) OSX 10.6.8 (using Rosetta obviously) 2.7Ghz Core2Duo 4GB RAM Â I've tried reinstalling CS2, reparing premissions and a new user account. Â The issue can occur when opening the program, opening a file or doing nearly any action when a file is open. No specific file seems to be causing it, sometimes it will run without a problem for an entire day and other it's constantly crashing. Â Here is one of the crash logs from the OSX diaglog after PS has crashed:
I downloaded the Photoshop CC/LR5 combo a few days ago, and since then the programs have been crashing my PC. (I've attached a screenshot.) This has happened at least 8 times, twice already this morning. Before I upgraded, I was using CS3 and LR4 and never had this issue.
this has been happening for a few weeks -  1. i am in photoshop CS5  2. i am scaling an image in proportion  3. the screen goes BLACK (dies) but the keyboard is still lit up, i can't do anything except force shutdown the computer  at first i didn't know what was causing it, but after it happen over 20 times while scaling an image (dragging by the corner) i am sure it is due to photoshop.  I'm running mac OS X 10.6.8 ... this is super annoying as i am losing files and time!!
As soon as I open a photo an resize it, the most basic function that I can think of for this product... it crashes I have run updates, I have looked through all of the forums here etc Nothing that relates to me or that has worked so far.
I just joined Creative Cloud. I uninstalled my trial versions of CS6 (which were working just fine) and then installed CC versions of them. After Effects CC is working great. Photoshop CC, however, keeps on quitting the moment I try do something like apply an effect or resize the image. I'm not get a crash report from the Adobe Crash Reporter so here's the Apple crash report. I'm running 10.8.4 on a mid-2012 MacBook Pro '13 i5. I've been using CS5 for a while now but since last night Photoshop keeps crashing! Not great as I have a deadline to meet!

I have uninstalled and re-installed and each tim ethe same fault.  I open say a blank canvas 20x20 then open a photo I wish to transfer onto it.  On the photo create a background copy and select the move tool, once the photo is on the canvas I then select the resize tool to make the photo small on the work area and then everytime is stops working and say a fault has occured photoshop will now close?
I have been having a lot of crashes lately at seemingly random times. I could be changing the opacity of a layer and it crashes, using puppet warp and it crashes, using free transform, so it doesn't seem to be a particular feature that is crashing it. Below is the error I get in Windows Event Viewer: Â Faulting application name: Photoshop.exe, version: 13.0.1.0, time stamp: 0x5022da9d Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 6.1.7601.17725, time stamp: 0x4ec4aa8e Exception code: 0xc0000374 Fault offset: 0x00000000000c40f2

Every time I use the type tool, the crop tool and HDR merge the app crashes, i'm currently using the trial version and this is not encouraging me to buy the upgrade from CS4 which i'm very happy with and never have these sort of problems.
Everytime I launch Photoshop it starts to load... I get the starting splash screen... then it completely shuts down with no error messages or anything. It was working just fine yesterday. Does anybody have any ideas as to why this would start happening all of the sudden?
I installed the CS4 Design Suite on my work computer (HP Compaq dc7600, Pentium 4 CPU 3.40 GHz, 2.49 GB of Ram, running Windows XP Professional, v 2002, Service Pack 3).I opened Photoshop and made some quick corrections on an image. Then, I scanning a document. Everything worked fine. Today, I downloaded and ran the Photoshop CS4 11.0.1 update, and now Photoshop won't stay running. I ran the app and tried to scan a document. It crashed before the document could scan. I ran the app again, this time naviating to a file, but it crashed before the file opened.
I have been using CS3, but all of a sudden, when launching, it now gets to the final page details with all the names in it etc. and then WHOOMPH it disappears and I'm back at the desktop.
I have tried removing all traces of it including in the registry and a full uninstall and re-install, but it still will not run.
I tried a system restore to 4 days, and 1 week, and 9 days before prior to when it started crashing, and it still fails to open up.
I just downloaded the CS4 free trial, but as soon as I open an image, I get an error and the program closes. I called tech support, and they sent me here.
The exact message says (as soon as Photoshop opens "Photoshop has encountered a problem with the display driver, and has temporarily disabled GPU enhancements. Check the video card manufacturer's website for the latest software."
Then, as soon as I open an image, I get another error message and the whole program closes. Does anyone know how I should proceed? Do I need to download everything all over again?
Everytime I attempt to manipulate text in Windows CS2 the damn thing promptly closes. Ive tried reinstalling it and also reinstalling a few fonts too, but to no avail. Other photoshop functions seem to work ok, but changing the size or font of a word causes it to show me an incomplete word and then bam! back to square one.
Photoshop CS3 shuts down every time I choose "Save for Web & Devices". This has been happening since I applied a registry fix when the "Edit In Photoshop" command was missing in Adobe Lightroom
it crashes all the time. Currently, my issue is on my laptop. I have deadlines and it crashes at least 5-10 times per hour. Nearly every time I try to "save as" it will crash. This isn't specific to one file. The same crash happens when I try to open new files many times.Â
This also isn't just in Photoshop. It happens in In-Design, Illustrator, and Premiere as well. I'm sure if I was working on projects in the other CC programs, the same would happen. WHAT HAS CHANGED TO CAUSE THIS? There is never an error message.  What can I do to get this fixed?
I've had about 10 crashes so far this morning everytime I try to save out! I've ran disk utility, copied the file thinking it may be corrupt, emptied the P RAM, cleard all the cache files, restarted about 5 times, used different versions of PS and still get the crashes, either using 'apple S' or 'Save as'... Â Here is the crash report: Â Process:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Adobe Photoshop CC [277] Path:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â /Applications/Adobe Photoshop CC/Adobe Photoshop CC.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe Photoshop CC Identifier:Â Â Â Â Â com.adobe.Photoshop Version:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â 14.0.0 (14.0.0.221) Code Type:Â Â Â Â Â Â X86-64 (Native) Parent Process:Â launchd [176] User ID:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â 501 [code]....
On a MacBook Pro, OSx 10.6.8. Using CS6 on .tifs, resizing the file to 600px wide - approx. 750k file - try to save for web, 80 percent quality and I get the folder screen, but it's open to "documents". Then I get spinning beachball, then CS crashes. Shuts down. Â I've tried restarting, no luck. I've had this happen before and I don't remember how it got worked out. I perform this function all the time and there's nothing new in my workflow. I read in another thread about metatag conflicts, and I do process the raws in Capture One before retouching in CS6, but I've done that before without any problem.
CS6 keeps crashing without any previous warning on me-- and taking the whole computer with it-- whenever I've been working in CS6 for 20-25 minutes. By crashing, I mean that first CS6 freezes, then I get a completely blue screen. CS6 crashes whether I edit direcctly from it, or if I go into it from Lightroom (Version 4.1). When I reboot and eventually go back to CS6, my work from all but the last 10 minutes will have been saved.  I never had this problem-- with the same computer, pentab, OS, etc.-- with CS5. I did have this problem when I installed the trial version of CS6.  I have tried uninstalling every morsel of code related to my Wacom Bamboo tablet, and that didn't stop the crashes. I have uninstalled and re-installed CS6, and that didn't work. I have updated Windows and all CS6 applications, and still the crashes persist.  I even tried calling Adobe, but after four and a half hours on hold, I had to give up.Â

When I open CS4, it crashes with out an error message box coming up. The second attempt, it crashes with the message box saying, Error 150:30, Licensing for this product has stopped working.Â
I then have to go to the hard drive > library > application support > Flexnet publisher and delete it. I then can open up CS4 and it stays open. I have had to do this procedure for many months. I am using Mac OS.6.8. Is there a way of preventing CS4 from crashing without having to go through this procedure?
Windows 7 professional Adobe Photoshop CS6 (more details below)  I have a fairly large PSD file (255 mb) that crashes after selecting print from the file menu but before the print dialog comes up. I tried saving it as tif and jpg out of curiosity, same problem.  I opened other large files, no issue.  Do the details below give you any information on what might be causing the problem? Had a full color event poster I needed to print and get put out in town today.  Details of crash:  Problem signature: Problem Event Name:         APPCRASH Application Name:         Photoshop.exe Application Version:         13.0.1.0 Application Timestamp:         519c8a03 Fault Module Name:         StackHash_da28 Fault Module Version:         6.1.7601.18205 Fault Module Timestamp:         51dba4e7 Exception Code:         c0000374 Exception Offset:         00000000000c4102 OS Version:         6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.48 Locale ID:         1033 Additional Information 1:         da28 Additional Information 2:         da283f1e5468cb579c6795dbc423afb1 Additional Information 3:         dd28 Additional Information 4:         dd28df2b13e1fc9b6b1ec2a09eb990c7
