VideoStudio :: Move And Scale Graphic - Animation Paths

Jul 23, 2012

I'm new to Video Studio and new to the forum after downloading the trial of X5. Want to know how to move and scale a graphic such as a jpeg across the screen along an animation path - iE; I have a picture of an object that starts at one point in the top left hand corner which I can animate to grow bigger and move to the bottom of the screen.

Maya Modeling :: Move / Scale Entire Item - Objects Move Separately

Dec 9, 2012

So a friend created a model using zbrush and exported several different *.OBJ files. I imported those to maya and added shaders. They all fit correctly together when imported.

some of those obj files required me to do a mesh->combine. so now it appears that not every item has the same reference point so that when I move or scale the entire item, some of the objects move seperately. I think it is only the ones I had to combine.

I tried freeze transformations, but when doing that, some of the objects lost their scale settings and still didnt move together as one unit.

Illustrator :: Vector Graphic Looks Pixelated When Scale It Down

I'm using CS5 on Mac OSX 10.7.4 and the graphic looks pretty good at 100%, and prints just fine.  The design shop is trying to put it on a coffee cup though, and when they scale it down, it looks horrible.  Pixelated everywhere.

-antialiasing is on
-resolution is 300 DPI
-align to pixel grid is not checked.

Xara :: Graphic / Animation Size

Apr 5, 2013

I am currently working on a video (hi-def, 1080x1920, 16x9 screen size). I want to add two different graphic elements at different points in the video (amateur home stuff). The first item is a graphic to be used as a static background picture via a green screen technique. The second item is an animation with an alpha channel to overlay a video scene. Both items will be created using Xara. My question is: How big do I make the document & animation so that they will fit seamlessly into the above video? Do I work with a document size of 16x9 inches or 1080x1920 pixels? I realize this is probably a simple question. But I need you experts to weigh in.

Photoshop :: How To Move Shapes (created With Paths)

Nov 14, 2012

[CS6] I created shapes with the pen tool.

Then I selected the path selection tool and selected a path.

Clicked right mouse key, choosed "Fill Path..." or "Fill Subpath" (don't know what it means). After filling with a color I get an object in
the form of the path and I can move the path to another place.

But I can't move the object in the shape of the path. I can't move it with "Path selection tool" because it's no path. Then I tried the "Move Tool" but I also can't select the object with it instead the whole canvas is moving.

How can I select and move shapes which were created with the pen tool?

3ds Max Animation :: Aligning Multiple Cameras On Different Paths?

Feb 11, 2012

I have a scene that I have multiple cameras going round inside a building. Each camera is exploring a different area of the building. They're attached to paths that all start from the same place but then obviously go off in different directions.

The problem I'm having is aligning the first frame so they all start off in exactly the same position. Coordinate wise; the camera, and 1st vertex of path are the same, but I'm guessing as the path is a different shape, the trajectory is different.

Illustrator :: Move Groups With Gradient Fills Along Paths

Dec 30, 2013

I would like to divide the green leaves on the image below over the green object on the right so that the leaves create the shape of the lines. They have to fill the space of the green object at a similar shape as it is now.

I tried blend but since the leaves are grouped objects with gradient fills, but then this is the result.I need to divide the leaves along the green shape so they follow the shape.

VideoStudio :: Graphic Image Pixelates In X4

Jun 5, 2012

I recently added another edit system and installed X4. I have been creating a slide show to music and all seems fine until addimg a graphic (Jpeg logo) to the overlay track. I then reduce the size to place it in the lower 1/3. When paused, the preview window shows the graphic as sharp. When playing I can see resolution loss. I doubled the size of the graphic but I still see the resolution drop. It doesn't matter if the graphic is at its original size or smaller when adjusting it in the overlay track. When I output as an MPEG the background video is fine, but the overalay graphic is horrendously pixelated. See attached screen cap.

I played witht he render settings moving quality fromm 70 to 100 and upping the bit rate to the max. For grins I turned off non square pixel rendering, but it made no difference in the poor graphic resolution. I tried exporting as a wmv (hd 720 30f) and the problem was gone. Unfortunately, my end user client ( a programming server) requires MPEG-2 files.

3ds Max Animation :: Best Way To Scale Bones?

Dec 19, 2012

if I have a rig and an object which is skinned to it, what is the best way to enlarge a bone so that certain vertices on my mesh will look inflated or deflated?

I tried to some tricks with the Xform modifier: wiring it's Gizmo controller to a slider UI control so that I could increase and decrease its size without actually scaling it, but this doesn't have any affect on the mesh. I then tried creating morph targets for the bones so that I could again increase and decrease their size without scaling them, but it didn't affect the mesh either.

It seems that the only way to get the mesh to localy increase or decrease in size is to scale parts of your rig, but that's something I always try to avoid.

3ds Max Animation :: How To Scale Rigged / Skinned / Animated Asset

Feb 3, 2012

I have several art assets that I have already rigged, skinned, and animated. Unfortunately, the objects have to be re-sized.

There isn't a simple way to simply scale the rigg to match the new size, because then the transforms are incorrect, and the scale on the bones are no longer at 100%. Normally it wouldn't matter, but these objects need to go into a game engine, so it has to be at 100%

No, simply re-sizing the rigg and hoping to just 'reset scale' will not work either.

Save/Load animation will inherit the pivot points of the original animation and paste them onto the re-sized objects, so that does not work either.

Is there a way to transfer a rigg and save it's animation when an object gets re-sized? I'd figure that Autodesk would have made some kind of feature for this scenario, since in game production things will inevitably be scaled at some point.

It's easy to scale everything to it's new size... the problem is... how do I reset it's transforms without the rigg going bonkers?

How do I take the original animations and re-apply them to the newly scaled down version?

VideoStudio :: How To Create New Graphic Color Chip To Match Video Background

Oct 10, 2013

How to create a new graphic color chip to match a video background.

Conditions
- Video MainTrack: Color Chip/Graphic
- Video OverlayTrack1: Video of my Mom sitting in a chair against a painted wall being interviewed about her life [age 87]

The project is 16x9 and video is 4x3 which I have left-centered [so there is a black "stripe" to the right of the video image] As she talks about certain events, I will have .JPG photos show on overlay tracks 2 & 3 in this "black stripe" area

I desire to make the "black stripe" are match the wall behind Mom so project looks more Professional

Question: How can I create a color chip that matches the background painted wall. All I can think of is to create a screen capture, open that is PAINT, and read-off the color coordinates.

Note: My only Corel product is VSPro.

Illustrator :: Shortcut To Move / Rotate / Scale A Pattern Inside

Jan 9, 2014

I'm working in the fashion industry where we are creating a lot of patterns and textile designs.transform pattern inside a vector shape without having to move the vector object :

To transform patterns but not objects when using a transform tool, hold down the tilde key (~) while dragging. The borders of the object appear to be transformed, but when you release the mouse button, the borders snap back to their original configuration, leaving only the pattern transformed. URL..

It seems this shortcut works only with US and UK keyboard.

I'm using a french keyboard where it doesn't work, probably because there is'nt any key especially dedicated to the Tilde sign (~), and you need to combine multiple keys to get this symbol (Alt GR + the key 2 above the key Z) .

I finally found the shortcut on MAC which is the keyboard key with the britisih pound sterling symbol (£). But not on PC !!!how to get this shortcut on PC with a french keyboard ?

Is there a way to change the shortcut for this very useful option, without having to take care of the kind of keyboard ?
