I'm running Windows 7 64-bit.. There is no error message, it just says Corel VideoStudio X3 has stopped working... The video is only 48 seconds long (A test video) 1280x720 and was recorded at 30fps.
I have an NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250 Video Card and a 3.4GHz processor and 6GB of RAM
The error says as follows:
The program has encountered an unspecified error and has stopped functioning. Please contact Corel Technical Support and send the dump file for analysis.

I downloaded a trial copy of the Corel VideoStudio Pro X5 Ultra. Every time I click on the Create Video File button the program crashes. I get a message that the program must exit. Every time I try this, it crashes.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI realise there are pros and cons to this question and the temptation is to opt for the highest quality, but the file sizes are huge. So, my camera files will be mainly 1080 files at 30fps, what will be the best file type/size to save files for future use. I don't really mind the rendering time and space isn't a huge problem, but the variety of file types is bewildering. Most clips will find their way to DVD but I don't want to reduce resolution as they might be used at a later date for Blu-Ray.
View 1 Replies View RelatedVideo Studio Pro X5: I've saved a project with several clips and then tried to "Share" the video using Create Video File. After I get to the Save screen and click Save with a filename, nothing happens - it does not start rendering and no file is saved. But then I saved a short clip from the same file as a separate Project File, and I was able to create a video file or the short clip.
What would cause Share not to be able to create a Video File from a Project File?
Many of my videos seem to be trimming and saving to a file. With a HD video at a high data rate, all I do is trim the video and save back to a file. However, I select the "Same as first video clip" to save to a new file. What I usually do is save the file and use a third party software to reduce the video the data rate I need.
In other to reduce the re-rendering time, I wish both processes could be done in VS's 'Options' button.
I'm doing screen capture, and MS Video 1 consumes 10 times as much disk space as H264.
I have tried a number of different codecs, and the result is the same.
I have tried looking at the resulting VideoStudio dump file using MSVS 2008, but there does not seem to be any content.
how I can debug this problem?
Videostudio X3 crashes everytime I try to export a video. It doesn't matter the file type inputed or how you are trying to export it. It even crashes when trying to export one of the default title screens included with the program. Have tried a clean install with no luck. I have also insured I am using the latest version.

PROBLEM:
I have a number of videos (HD 1080p) that I have recorded. Each video is on average 50 minutes in length - what I want to do it to be able to do is to slice this video into 10 x 5 minute videos (based on topics discussed in the video), (so essentially clip the video into these segments and edit each one) and then when producing the video file - actually create 10 separate video files (all with editing in place) instead of one single large file.
As far as I have been able to work out, I need to go through the whole file, clip relevant sections, edit them, and then save project. I then need to go trim the saved file 10 times, to extract each time the single 5 minute video I want to create. This is a fairly manual and time consuming process, hence my hope that I can create 10 files based on the clips I have made in the larger 50 minute file in one go.
as I have 30 videos to edit, so looking for ways to save time!
When I said 20 seconds. I just meant that as an example. For saving as an avi, I just wanted to use it in another project. I only wanted to be able to cut out a little part of a short part of a video on a video and overlay track and use just that part somewhere else. without saving the whole program that is about 20 minutes long. I try for nothing complicated, So I have to use the blue track above the timeline. That is what I have to figure out how to use it.

I am trying out a few video editors, having never worked with one before. I shot a video with my camera and have imported the MP4 file into VSPro x4. But I would like to disable the audio track --to silence everything my camera's microphone picked up when I was shooting the video and save the result as a "silent film" also in MP4 format. I don't even need to do any splicing or cutting at this point. But I cannot figure how to kill the sound. In one of the products I'm looking at, there's a Disable Audio option on its Output menu. I cannot find a counterpart option with Corel Video Studio Pro x4. Does it have this capability?

On my laptop, I can "Mark-In/Mark-Out", but when I "Save Trimmed Video", the Rendering stops at 91% hang the software stops responding. On my desktop, I can "Mark-In/Mark-Out", but I do not get the option to "Save Trimmed Video". It is grayed out.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have recently upgraded from VideoStudio 12 to Pro X4, and have noticed that I don't have all of the Video Save Options (specifically Media type and Audio format) that I have with 12.
I produce video for playback by a regional local access provider, and their requirements are mpeg-2 video with mpeg layer 2 audio. Both of these are options that are available in 12 but not X4. I understand that NTSC DVD video is mpeg-2, but I'm still at a loss with the audio format.

All i did was import the video from my C drive into PSE 11. When i play the video on windows media player, it plays fine. I hear the sound perfectly at 5.1 surround. So i know the movie file is good.....so why wont the sound import into PSE 11?

I would think there would be no compatibility issues since i am using latest PSE 11 and a newer camcorder.
I'm trying to figure out what file type/setting I should start saving my files as for printing. I want to have files that will give the highest quality when printing, but not take up any more space on my hard drive than necessary (I want to archive and be able to share the non psd files). What would you guys recommend? Are you losing anything by saving files as jpg? What about the difference between quality level “10” and “12” for jpg (since the file size doubles)?
View 8 Replies View RelatedRecently, my graphics card stopped working, so I've been forced to use an onboard GPU until I can get the money to buy a new one. The problem though, is that the onboard GPU is VERY old (approximately 6 or so years), and every time I try to save something in photoshop CS5, the program crashes without even giving me an error message. Does the graphics card even have anything to do with it?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI thought the best way to construct my video would be to 'cut' out all the sections of video I wanted to use, and save them in the library. When I had them all, I could then bring them down to the timeline where each needed to go. The videos I am working from are 512x288, and when I try to use the 'save trimmed video' function, it comes back saying my frame size is not per the settings.
I haven't seen a way to make the project accept a different frame size, that option is grayed out under preferences. Is there a way for me to cut out the sections I want and save them individually?
I just purchased Video Studio Pro X4 and I'm hoping it wasn't the wrong decision. We do a lot of voice overs and wanted to start adding subtitling and audio swap to our list of services. Subtitling with the software has proven to be easy, as well as the audio swap. But I've just ran into a problem that I can't solve (I'm an audio guy through and through...but my video skills are low)

I easily swapped the original audio for ours and wanted to render the video exactly as it was given to me. However, when I try using the option: "Save as First Video Clip" it gives me the error:
"The frame size (1280 x 720) of the video file does not match the settings and therefore cannot be trimmed." 18706:1:1
This happens on both of my computers (Windows XP & 7). Am I missing some codecs...my video cards not up to snuff, or something else? Again, I know little about video.
In Settings, I tried changing the project properties to similar settings as the original video, but the highest frame size it will give me is 720 x 480; and 'user defined' is grayed out. Not sure if any of that matters at all.
Lastly, yes I can manually type in all the info in the Custom option and can successfully render a video with similar specs, but I was hoping to just use the "Save as First Video Clip" option.
When I save for the web, select my file type ( png,wbmp,jpeg) it displays the file type as a Gif in the lower left even though the file saves in the correct format. This is the version from the cloud download. Every file type displays this way?

how to set the default save file type to 100% JPG every time starting at a named folder. What I am looking for is to hit save and it to have pre selected a particular folder / to have remembered the last folder I saved in, and without need to interact with dialog boxes have it save in my chosen format at the quality I want. Every time I start program the setting are lost! the default S-Video and NTSC (Some time you want to record something on TV and you losing the moment setting your Ulead VideoStudeo SE DVD)
Was able to trim and save 11 clips in new video files over 2-3 sessions, but then program hung after initiating 12th save. No duplicate file names, ie file already exsists. Computer show 100% CPU usage implying program has gone into loop. Have to use Window task mgr to end VideoStudio. When restarted VS indicates it is completing save started in previous session but creates empty file. Removing all Ulead files and folders I can find from computer left after uninstall, and all references I can find from registry, then reinstalling VideoStudio does not fix problem. I did not remove the video files in my user directory. There are no project files. Assume something remains on computer preventing clean reinstall and removal of bug.

I want to use for an application's icon, and I was hoping that I could create the icon in PhotoShop Elements 6.I do not see any way to do this, however. That file-type option is not available in either "Save As" or "Export."

But when I go to the save file part (C:MyPath), both the parts and assembly files are saved and if I open it, they work just fine.
I just can't get inventor to stop crashing.
If I'm using the marquee tool to crop an image, how can I save the new cropped image as a jpeg file type rather than as a PSD, PDD file type?Â

The average file size I've been working with is around 4MB, so not very big. I also make sure that I have as few programs opened as possible while I'm working in AI.

I've been talking to Apple Care every week, and even went back to the store to change my computer for a new one, but am still having problems.
I had a time where I shot some home videos on my old Sony DV camera (type2 DV 29.97fps) and also some on my other digital cameras of various models which recorded in mjpeg (20fps), h.263(30fps), mpeg4sp (29.97fps), and even a few .asp. I want to combine all these in chronological order on DVD. But I worried about which format to choose when rendering such a mixture, since I've heard that type 2 DV should be lower filed first. Will that mess up the way the other files are rendered? I was wondering if i should render the DV out to DVD compliant mpeg2 first and then add in the others in another project.
