Mar 24, 2008I would like to take face pictures and split the faces in half. After that, I would like to use the left side of the face and match it to the reverse left side face together(having 2 left sides which will look like a normal face after the 2 sides will be brought together).
So:
1. picture of a human face (head)
2. slipt the face in half
3. remove the right side
4. highlight the left side and make a reverse image
5. put together the real left side and the reverse left side in one face
How that is possible with Photoshop?

Dec 1, 2008I'm sure I've seen how to do this somewhere, not sure if it's photoshop or flash. I want to split a picture into multiple small jpeg tiles so that I can have one thumbnail picture and a higher res one used to zoom.
Anyone know what this is called, the package used to achieve it or where I should start?

Mar 6, 2011I was recently trying to RECONNECT some files on my catalogs when I noticed I couldn't reconnect a couple of video files. The files were .WMV and when I looked at the thumbnail, I noticed that there where two thumbnails "stacked" with the same file name, but different lenghts of time. I found the original video file using explorer and noticed that the original file is as long as the two "thumbnails" put together. Now, it won't reconnect the thumbnails to the video file. Why did it "split" the video file in the first place? How could I reconnect it?

Nov 23, 2012To recreate this error, draw 2 simple shapes in Illustrator CS6, copy and paste them together as a Shape layer in Photoshop CS6.
Then go to 3D > New 3D Extrusion from Selected Path. I just accept the defaults.
Then go to 3D > Split Extrusion.
The error is thrown at this point. No matter what I do, I can't get it to work.
I've tried rasterizing the shape, but then I get a different error. When I select 3D > New 3D Extrusion from Selected Layer, I get the error: "Could not complete the New 3D Extruions from Selected Layer command because the path is too complex." This is ridiculous. I can't get the 3D to work at all.

Mar 28, 2011Sometimes when UV unwrapping, the map, for some reason ends up as individual tiles, even though the mesh is a single object. How can I fix that? Every single polygon has thick, green lines - like seams. When generating normal maps, it simply comes back as 'squares' of nothing, but laid out accordingly to the UV layout, so it's useless and holds no detail what-so-ever.
There are no inverted faces or overlapping faces, so that is not it. I can't weld every single vertex - there are thousands of them, of course, so it's rather baffling. The vertices, though, are connected, so that too is not the problem.

May 28, 2013I have been using VS for quite some time, along with my Panasonic GS500. When capturing my video, VS would create a file for every start /stop of the video. I shoot high school football. This is extremely convenient for cataloging plays, because each play is its own file. I know that "Split by Scene" is available, but it does not create a file for each play.I recently purchased a Canon XH-A1s and wanted to move to HD. will the new Canon camera and VS Pro X4 provide for the same type of capture, when optioned for HD.

Oct 14, 2012I am using VS Pro X4 on a Windows XP Pro PC. When I 'capture' video from by vidcam (DV tapes) using 'split by scene' all the resulting clips all contain the first frame of the following clip.
I had this problem a year ago using my laptop on a VIsta Business platform and though that perhaps the 'problem' had something to do with Vista (well Vista isn't everyone's ideal platform) but now I am experiencing it on an XP PC so I am thinking that it is caused by VS Pro X4.
Is there a fix for this and/or a setting to stop this annoying problem. I am thinking that if No then I should reinstall VS 9, which I never had this problem with, just to allow me to capture video by scene correctly.

Aug 4, 2013I've been doing a project using two different cameras, I've done some of it and saved as a .mpg without a problem.Now for some reason I cannot use the split clip tool it is greyed out all the time no mater how I have the clip in the timeline be it set to clip or project.
I made one cut to align two clips now nothing..As I say I've completed three parts of the project without a problem using the split clip tool.
