How do you start a new line in a paragraph block? When I hit the enter key, it just returns to the front of the same line, overwriting the same line over and over again.
1. Clicked Text tool.
2. Dragged out a paragraph block.
3. Started typing and noticed that when it reached the end of the paragraph block, it just wrapped to the beginning.
I can't start a new paragraph when I hit enter. It just closes the text layer and I have to double click the layer to open it back up. Even when I do that, I can't create a new line break. The same thing happens in InDesign.
I'm using CS3 and Vista.
I am working on a document - about 100 pages, mostly text with a couple of images.
Unfortulatly Indesign keeps crashing when I change the settings in the paragraph styles. eg changing the indents on a list item, or the amount of space before on the body text.
I am on Indesign creative cloud, and Mac Version 10.9.2
How can I apply edited paragraph style to all at once.
I mean I have created new paragraph style with 10 pt Arial font and applied to different paragraph. And now I have edited the same paragraph style with 16 pt. Arial font, now how it will applied at once to all old style that I have used.
I finally paid one of those conversion companies to convert this QuarkXPress file that I was working with to InDesign, since InDesign seems like such a better program. Everything seemed to transfer over smoothly, and I have now been editing this document in InDesign. Unfortuantely, after a bunch of new edits, I realized the one thing that didn't seem to transfer over was the index. The old Quark file had an index with about 900+ entries in it. Is there any quick way to add all those entries back without having to go through the document and highlight the text manually, one by one by one? That would take forever. Pretty much everything that's gonna be indexed is after a paragraph marker of the paragraph style called "gray box."
Also, since each entry is bold, it was set up as having a paragraph style named "title." If IND could find anything with that style and add it as an entry, that may make my job way easier? Or will I be stuck selecting text over the next day and manually adding entries?
I am running photoshop CS on my laptop which is a Compaq presario 1503 AP.
I have had this problem since I used Photoshop 7 and now Photoshop CS. When I want to go to a new paragraph or the next line using the enter key, it just doesnt work.
When I hit enter, the text just exits the text entry/edit mode.
I am using Elements 12 and want to remove the extra spacing that is automatically inserted between paragraphs after a hard return. Is there some way to adjust the extra spacing before/after a paragraph in Elements?

Can the "Basic Paragraph" style in Paragraph Styles be modified? How is this done?
I can bring up the Paragraph Styles Options diaglog by double clicking "Basic Paragraph" in the Paragraph Styles panel. I can also modify it, for example, by changing the font family. But when I click OK to save it, it creates a new style and leaves "Basic Paragraph" unchanged.
I know that the Basic Paragraph style can be modified in InDesign, but I don't see how to do it in Photoshop.
I was drawing a lot of lines with the pointer that stuck at the end of the line and after that it stuck at the beginning of the other line (i hope you understand what i mean). I don't know what i pressed but now this function is not active and is very difficult to draw the lines.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThe text that we're using for the majority of our notations doesn't look very good at 1.0x scale so I try and adjust the paragraph line spacing to 0.8x as I go. I also know that if I create MTEXT and adjust the paragraph line spacing at the prompt it will "stick". However it doesn't stick for leaders and there's no real way of creating a permanent setting, is there?
Slight inconvenience of adjusting that setting each time I create a leader.

When I change before/after Paragraph spacing settings in the Text Formatting window, I get a message reading "please provide a value within range of 1/4" and 4". When I attempt to start a new line of text in a text layer by pressing "Enter," it doesn't let me start a new line of text; instead, it stops editing the text layer altogether. I would like to be able to press "Enter" and have PSE11 start a new line of text in the text layer; I have been using Elements to create graphics since 2007 and have never encountered this problem.
I have already tried:
- Uninstalling and re-installing PSE11
- Ctrl + Enter, Shift + Enter, Fn + Enter
- Resetting the type tool
- Making sure the spacing is set to Auto

Is there a way of reversing the start and end points of a line? I have a lot of mirrored lines on my model, and so the direction (start/end) is also mirrored. This poses a problem when i export the model to another program witch has a coordinate system based on the direction of the entity (in this case a line). So i come back to the question, is it possible to change(reverse) the start/end position to already drawn (mirrored) lines? Btw i am using acad2011

is returning nil, what is so confusing to me is that:
(=(nth 0(cdr (assoc 11 (entget line1)))) (nth 0(cdr (assoc 10 (entget line2)))))
is returning true, the same is for y and z coordinates.
I need to check x y and z coordinates, for this type of problem...

Creating sample lines at a specific increment within a range starting from the start of the range is impossible unless the start of the range is divisible by the increment. This is a defect that needs fixing.
Meanwhile you'll find me typing in the 93 locations for my sample lines. I believe this is what we made computers for.
I have a feature line, and a labels table created for it. The table has the following columns: Line or Curve #, Station, Segment Start X, Segment Start Y, Segment Start X, Bearing/Delta, Length, Radius, Grade Ahead.
what code I need for the table to display the station of the feature line at the start of the segment?
I also have an alignment with the same stationing over top of the feature line, but Im not sure how to code a reference text into the table either. I can create an end segment reference text for the plan view labels but even if I copy that code into the labels table it doesn't work.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI really need to have the ends of my lines be square (plines an regular lines). I have tried changing my Plot Style .stb file to have the Line End Style to be set at "Square." I have checked all of the styles.
The problem is that doesn't change the my lines (pline or line). Even if the plot style is correct, it still has the rounded ends.
