Photoshop Elements :: Hitting Enter Doesn't Start A New Text Line?

I'm using an HP Envy x2, which is a tablet-laptop hybrid with an attachable keyboard, and I'm having an issue with Adobe Photoshop Elements 11.
When I attempt to start a new line of text in a text layer by pressing "Enter," it doesn't let me start a new line of text; instead, it stops editing the text layer altogether. I would like to be able to press "Enter" and have PSE11 start a new line of text in the text layer; I have been using Elements to create graphics since 2007 and have never encountered this problem.
I have already tried:
- Uninstalling and re-installing PSE11
- Ctrl + Enter, Shift + Enter, Fn + Enter
- Resetting the type tool
- Making sure the spacing is set to Auto
- Turning on and off the Num Lock key via on-screen keyboard

autocad lt 2010 crashes when I hit the enter key.
example: typed UCS in command line then hit enter key and crashes.
I installed update 1 & 2. still crashes.
restarted computer,still crashes.
Any thoughts besides unistalling and reinstalling?

Just upgraded to PS CS6, and am having a problem manually entering a value for the magnification level in the status bar (same goes for Navigator panel).Is it supposed to automatically zoom to the amount entered without hitting enter/return? For example, if I want 25%, the box will read 2%5 and tells me my value is invalid by the time I hit return (the document will go to 2% automatically before I hit the 5). I can find nothing on this anywhere online, and the documentation mentions typing a number then having to press enter/return. Is this a feature? A glitch? Can it be disabled/fixed?
I am running a Mac and small Cintiq with an on-screen keyboard (so typing speed is slow and screen area at a premium), and the button on the pen (set to be an 'option' key) sticks on occasion.

This error message appears when I have the Direct Selection tool selected, but have not selected an object. Every time I press Enter I get the alert: "Could not complete your request because of a program error." It doesn't matter what file I have open.
I'm running Mac OS X 10.7.5, 2.2 GHz, 16 GB memory. This is just one of several weird bugs I've encountered in CC.

What's the setting to draw dimensions as objects? For some reason it's drawing them as seperate lines, text, etc. and they only show after hitting enter. I've had this problem in the past and i'm not sure what setting does this

Having installed Photoshop Elements 11(Windows 7) I cannot open the Organiser from the welcome screen. It can be opened via the Editor but few of the thumbnails are shown as pictures rather as empty squares. The situation does not improve with time but tends to get worse with pictures turning into squares. I have tried the tip with preferences but to no avail.

I am writing a program that allows the user to select hatched areas in a drawing and return the quantity, area, and the weight for the equivalent areas covered by tread plate.
My goal is to insert the data with text at a point of the user's choosing, so the end result is a text object in model space that looks like this:
Total Objects: 2
Total Tread Plate Area: 20.83 sq ft
.125 AL Tread Plate Weight: 40 lbs
.125 Steel Tread Plate Weight: 128.33 lbs
How to do is to have the text appear on multiple lines, instead of all across one line. Is there a way to mimic the enter key to enter the next line of text, just like when you use the text function in AutoCAD, instead of using multiple text commands and having to position each one using code.

One minute it was fine so I know I must have hit something, but I can't fix it. When I hit enter while adding text it will not skip a space, it goes back to the original start point and types over the existing text.

Photoshop Elements 11 and Premiere Elememts 11 cannot get started - launcher can be opened, but program doesn't start..I'm working with Windows 7 and I have already installed the newest drivers for the GeForce GTX 550 Ti - but still no start of the program after launching!
same applies to older installed version Photoshop Elements 8 and Photoshop Elements 10 which were working a couple of days ago.

I have an FDO layer which I am styling like so:
Concat ( FDO_LAYER1, Concat ( '
', FDO_LAYER2 ) )
This layer is styled so that all text is centered. In this case, FDO_LAYER2 is having it's text left aligned. I'm pretty sure this is due to the method I am using for a new line. Is there something else I can use to break the line and maintain the center styling?
Using a second point for FDO_LAYER2 is not an option.

I have used the 'add text' feature before and it worked just fine. Now all of a sudden after I select the area where I want to insert text and start typing all I get are 'underlines'. What am I missing?

1. Facing problem of frequent CorelDraw X6 crash while working and seemingly most of the times it even don't sent any error messages to Corel support.
2. Transformations docker doesn't accept enter for applying changes, it only responds when we hit apply. It is good to move through options by using TAB, but it should accept ENTER as “APPLY” as we make desired change in any parameter. Mostly I prefer dockers to property bar.
3. Open and Import dialogue boxes don’t get cancelled as we hit ESC key.
4. Using pick tool double click a group of objects including paragraph text and get desired rotation is still a havoc despite we are using x6 (64-bit). It kills much of our time. See screen shot below:
5. I am also facing problem in EPS editable import as shown in the screen shot below "An error occurred while processing PIEE.eps. The file cannot be opened."
The file is created in x6 and has 2 pages for two print jobs. Both pages has flatten background text and fountain lenses to RGB bitmap. All texts converted to curves. Page 1 exported to EPS and then imported as EPS editable successfully. Page 2 exported to EPS and then imported as EPS editable - shown above error. I have also tried importing this page to a fresh file and then created fresh EPS but got the same erroneous result.
As far as my experience with PDF is not good, because sometimes PDF also produces undesired result on RIP specially as RGB images, bar codes, drop shadows etc. I believe that EPS files are far more reliable in prepress jobs.

I have a problem and as this has happened the first time I fire up autoCAD I can see that I am not going to have as easy a time as I did with 3D studio Max.
I found a tutorial on line, and it was talking about the command line, so i was entering points like it said, fine. I had to put it down as something came up at work. Go back to it to play some more, now I can no longer specify points in the command line, pressing space or enter just clears everything and asks to specify a point again.
What have I don't to make this happen, or is it a bug in the program. I have tried restarting again but still no.

I'm having a problem entering line lengths - something I remember occurring some time ago - but I can't' recall how I remedied it. The '@' symbol take time to register - instead of registering immediately as previously. I now have to check the command line each time and allow a moment for it to register before entering the values.

I downloaded Adobe Photoshop CS6 (Trial) and installed it. When I wanted to start it, it crashed immediately. Is my computer not good enough for Adobe Photoshop CS6? Because CS5 works fine on my PC...Here are some information about my PC

I tried to start photoshop today and received two errors and the app will not start. I tried un-installing and re-installing (cloud apps), but I encounter the same errors
Can't post screen shots - you can't read them. First error says "Could not load actions as an unexpected end of file was encountered" The second one says "Could not initialize photoshop because the preferences file was invalid (it has been deleated)"
I haven't installed any new software. PS worked a few days ago, other programs working OK, even cloud stuff

let's assume that i am writing my text for two buttons: a:hover and a:active statuses. i am entering the text "links" in the two different buttons (=images.) How do i make sure that the text is exactly in the same places and not entered randomly instead in each button? so that when i clic on the button the text is not "shifted" in some way, but remains in the same position (only the image changes. example button 1: /links button 2: /links

I was drawing a lot of lines with the pointer that stuck at the end of the line and after that it stuck at the beginning of the other line (i hope you understand what i mean). I don't know what i pressed but now this function is not active and is very difficult to draw the lines.

When I try to start the CC in 64 bit mode I get the error 0x0000005. (in 32 bit there is no problem)
I'm using Windows 7, 64 bit and have been using other Photoshop versions without any problem. My current version of Photoshop is CS6. I've updated the Nvidia driver and that didn't work.

I've been using PS for a long time. I'm far from even beginner level, I'd say, but I know my way around well enough. I'm using PS CS6 on a Win 7 ENT machine.
If I open a new document, the text tool does nothing.If open a previously saved document, the text tool works just fine. So, I've taken to starting each new document by opening an older one, then modifying it.
Interestingly, in new doc, the text-entry point is exeedingly tiny and sits *inside* the upper left-hand resize box. In an previously opened file, it sits nicely in the upper left-hand corner of the box itself, patiently waiting at the preset font size.
