I am using PER 6 on OS 10.9.1. When I type to enter text on a photo the picture turns a reddish color and no text appears. What am I doing wrong?

Pressing Enter/Return should commit the selection but it doesn't why? I have not changed any short-cut preferences in PS CS6.

When I use the Marquee or Lasso tool and make a selection and I'm happy with the selection, I press the Enter (PC)/Return(Mac) and the the "marching ants" should disappear..this has always worked until today? Now, when I press the Enter key, the Feather box (next to the Anti-alias) on the upper left corner goes from grey to white and wants me to change the value?
One minute it was fine so I know I must have hit something, but I can't fix it. When I hit enter while adding text it will not skip a space, it goes back to the original start point and types over the existing text.

When I attempt to start a new line of text in a text layer by pressing "Enter," it doesn't let me start a new line of text; instead, it stops editing the text layer altogether. I would like to be able to press "Enter" and have PSE11 start a new line of text in the text layer; I have been using Elements to create graphics since 2007 and have never encountered this problem.

I have already tried:
- Uninstalling and re-installing PSE11
- Ctrl + Enter, Shift + Enter, Fn + Enter
- Resetting the type tool
- Making sure the spacing is set to Auto
- Turning on and off the Num Lock key via on-screen keyboard
I've been runing LT 2013 for the past couple of months, everything was working fine until recently. Occasionally a viewport will go completely black. I can doule-click into model space and select objects, though I can't really see them. If I delete the viewport and make a new one, the new one works fine (at least for now).Â

while trying to type a text in Greek language on a photo. I have to tell you that i have done in the past many times this job (type Greek letters on a photo for watermarks etc) with the same program and the same computer until two days ago!
I checked the input method, i resetted the values inside the options from gimp preferences , i uninstalled the program twice and reinstalled it, i removed all the app Data for the specific software but still doesn't work. When i try to type Greek letters , i get strange symbols that i cannot paste here! It pastes normally the characters that i wrote on. I use gimp 2.8.3 and my OS is Mac OS Lion 10.7.4

I then click on any Panel property, and the text in this layer is replaced by text from another layer in my document ( a paragraph layer, let's say), but the color is not the same as the layer the text came from.

If I open a new document, the text tool does nothing.If open a previously saved document, the text tool works just fine. So, I've taken to starting each new document by opening an older one, then modifying it.

Interestingly, in new doc, the text-entry point is exeedingly tiny and sits *inside* the upper left-hand resize box. In an previously opened file, it sits nicely in the upper left-hand corner of the box itself, patiently waiting at the preset font size.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I open one particular image in photoshop CS3 the thumb in the Open menu looks correct, but the image opens with a reddish tinge over the whole thing. If I then double-click the image layer in the Layers window, the Layer Style menu pops up, the tinge removes itself and the image looks as it should. None of the other images I've been working on have this happening. Does anyone know what's up here. This is a .psd file with no layers above the image layer.
