Photoshop :: Weird Text Overlay When I Press Enter
Sep 22, 2008I'm using Photoshop CS. I want to make a text, and then I press the enter button. But, instead of a second paragraph, the text overlays. How can I solve this problem?

Photoshop :: Weird Text Problem
Jun 24, 2008When I type text into a box and I want to scroll through my available fonts to see what font suits my needs, I get a weird problem. No matter what font I am on, if I try to scroll through the list, it goes back to the very top.
This happens everytime and I haven't been able to figure out what is wrong. What I need to do (i think) is trash the fonts folder and just have the basic fonts. Then I have a backup font folder (from another machine) that I can put on this pc, same fonts but that machine doesnt have the problem.
Photoshop :: Weird Text Tool
Aug 31, 2004I have this weird problem with the text tool, it happens only with a certain file. The text size won't go higher than 18 pixels, no matter which font is selected. When I have multiple files opened, it works ok with other files, but not with that particular file.
To make matters even more stupid, if I type something on a different file and duplicate it from there, it works ok. I can even use transformation to change the size but I can't use the type tool to change the size.

Photoshop :: Can't Enter Text To New Doc / Only Previous?
Feb 5, 2013 I've been using PS for a long time. I'm far from even beginner level, I'd say, but I know my way around well enough. I'm using PS CS6 on a Win 7 ENT machine.
If I open a new document, the text tool does nothing.If open a previously saved document, the text tool works just fine. So, I've taken to starting each new document by opening an older one, then modifying it.
Interestingly, in new doc, the text-entry point is exeedingly tiny and sits *inside* the upper left-hand resize box. In an previously opened file, it sits nicely in the upper left-hand corner of the box itself, patiently waiting at the preset font size.

Sep 3, 2013I'm using an HP Envy x2, which is a tablet-laptop hybrid with an attachable keyboard, and I'm having an issue with Adobe Photoshop Elements 11.
When I attempt to start a new line of text in a text layer by pressing "Enter," it doesn't let me start a new line of text; instead, it stops editing the text layer altogether. I would like to be able to press "Enter" and have PSE11 start a new line of text in the text layer; I have been using Elements to create graphics since 2007 and have never encountered this problem.
I have already tried:
- Uninstalling and re-installing PSE11
- Ctrl + Enter, Shift + Enter, Fn + Enter
- Resetting the type tool
- Making sure the spacing is set to Auto
- Turning on and off the Num Lock key via on-screen keyboard
AutoCad 2D :: Text Would Enter Off Of 0 - Z Plane
Dec 12, 2012I have been working on this framing plan and come to find out - much of the text and some of the lines are being entered off of the 0 - Z plane. get everything down to 0? Flatten does not work and I have searched high and low for a resolution, but I'm not getting anywhere.
I know the lines are mostly at 0, which makes it very confusing that the text would enter off of the 0 - Z plane.

AutoCad :: How To Enter / Alter Text
Sep 10, 2010every time I try to enter / alter text, autocad informs me that it can't find a dictionary for spell checking purposes. I can live with that, but the constant pop-up is getting old.
I tried to reset my Main Dictionary... but it seems to be gone. Is a fresh re-install in order?

Feb 5, 2007I made this image for printing onto t-shirts, but the printer came back and said that it was far too low a quality. only 23dpi when they require at least 72 and preferably up to 300dpi. I tried to increase the resolution but fell back on trying to remake the image.

Dec 26, 2013I have done a drawing of some house plans. I am now trying to enter text in model space, but when i enter it, it appears very small at 2.5, only if i enter at 500 it appears ok. In the layout tab the text at 500 appears very large, and when i enter 2.5 it appears ok. I have not made any changes anywhere.

Oct 30, 2013I am using AutoCAD LT 2014. Whenever I open a drawing, I receive the error message, ** Undefined shape XX with XX representing different numbers (50, 120, and 53). According to the KB, This error message is typically displayed when a required font style is not available for use. The solution is to copy the fonts from another computer but my issue is, I don't have another computer with the working fonts.
Additionally, I am unable to enter any text into the drawing using the Single line or Multiline tool. From MTEXT, whenever I enter any letters, I receive the same error message ** Undefined shape XXX.

Oct 25, 2012I am writing a program that allows the user to select hatched areas in a drawing and return the quantity, area, and the weight for the equivalent areas covered by tread plate.
My goal is to insert the data with text at a point of the user's choosing, so the end result is a text object in model space that looks like this:
Total Objects: 2
Total Tread Plate Area: 20.83 sq ft
.125 AL Tread Plate Weight: 40 lbs
.125 Steel Tread Plate Weight: 128.33 lbs
How to do is to have the text appear on multiple lines, instead of all across one line. Is there a way to mimic the enter key to enter the next line of text, just like when you use the text function in AutoCAD, instead of using multiple text commands and having to position each one using code.

Lightroom :: Slideshow Text Overlay
Jun 20, 2011I want tthe text overlay in the slide show module to include the file caption. My captions are long and need two or more rows of text. The problem I have is that Lightroom will only display the caption text on a single line that runs well outside of the slide area. Even if I make the text small by grabbing the center point of the text box and make the height small, the text stays on a single line and extends outside the slide area. I am not able to grab a corner and drag the text box to a more square proportion forcing the text to break into multiple lines. As far as I can tell this is not possible.

Jun 5, 2013I created two projects for a dance performance:
Project A was for the first half. It had 2 video tracks, an audio track, and a text track.
Project B had 2 video tracks an audio track & a text track.
I opened VideoStudio 5 with no project loaded.
I then went into share mode & picked generate a DVD
I then loaded project A & then loaded project B
I built a main menu which had links for project A & B
I built a "sub" menu for project A
I built a "sub" menu for project B.
I then previewed (via the DVD preview option in the SHARE step of videostudio) all menu choices. Project A & Project B played perfectly meaning that ALL tracks played at the proper time.
I then generated an actual DVD and an iso file.
I saved the project file that was used to generate the DVD.
When I played the DVD all of the effects and tracks worked for the project A material. However, only the main video track played for the project B material. In other words the overlay video track & the text tracks were ignored. I created another DVD from the iso with the same "bogus" results.
I then opened the the project that was used to generate the DVD. I went to share ... generate DVD ... preview project B worked perfectly (i.e. it utilized the overlay and text tracks).
In other words the generated DVD didn't include the video overlay & text tracks for project B. Yet when you preview it inside of VideoStudio share dvd preview the overlay track & text appears.
I have since generated a video only file for project B & the overlay & text tracks are there.
I assumed that you could import 2 vsp projects into one project during the share step when you create a DVD. Is this the problem? Or is there a bug in VideoStudio pro 5?

Dec 6, 2013I created some type layers in Photoshop CS6 and the flattened. I made the background transparent. there it shows checkerboard background.then I imported to PP and added to the video track, but instead of just text, the background is white, blocking out the video entirely.
