View 1 RepliesI'm using win 7 with LR 4.1 RC 2, but this issue goes back to LR 3.6 (my first) for me.
I don't get a clean erase of an adjustment brush overlay by passing over it with the brush in "erase" mode. Even after 5-10 passes some small isolated spots continue to show the red overlay marker. Clicking the brush repeatedly while centered right over a stubborn red spot does not remove it.
I paint with a mouse, and typically use a feathered brush. The flow and density are always set to 100.
This is more of a nuisance than problem, since the remaing areas are very small, and I haven't noticed problems in the final image. Still, it should not work that way. I never see this when erasing in Photoshop.
I have two versions of a photo. One is the original, untouched version and the other has a translucent overlay on it. How would I go about isolating the overlay (for reuse)?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have seen some design of text that is very clean but for some reason, my text has some kind of feather on it. I have tried to change different properties of the text but it doesn't work. As you can see in the image, the first button, the text is very clean (got it from a website) compared to the second one.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an image that I want to print, but the text therein is all rippled and chunky and horror B-movie style. (This isn't a wave filter I've put on and been unable to reverse or anything like that, it's just unfortunate.)
So, what the quickest way I could go about tightening up the text so that it looks undistorted? I'm there's a faster method than using paths for it..

I have been working on some small banners and heading bars for my site. One thing I always seem to have a problem with and have not seen much information on is what fonts to use, or how to keep a font clean and crisp once it has been converted from psd to a web usable file such as a .jpg or a .gif. Most of the text I am working with is around a 10pt font. I have tried using different types of fonts and they all look fine as the psd but seem to lose something in the transition.
I have optimized them to 100% and they still seem to lose something. Does anyone know of any techniques or tutorials on this subject. I have seen many banners out there with this size font or smaller, and they all look very sharp.
How can I clean up the edge quality of the 3D text geoms? I have anti-aliasing checked. Is there another setting?

View 1 Replies View RelatedHow to clean screenshots that contain text or other stuff overlapped in an image.
Here's an example:
I'd like to know if it's possible to remove the overlapped bits of screenshots in the upper and bottom left corners and the text in-between using GIMP. The second picture is merely for reference of the material missing(I'm not sure if it can actually be used because the quality is not the same, and I believe the colors are a little off). And if it's indeed possible, how it can be done.
Does this script also cleans up unpainted objects and empty text frames? Personally, I don't think so because the check of the script in extendscript and illustrator results negative.
var idoc = app.activeDocument;var straypoints = []; for (i=0; i<idoc.pathItems.length; i++) {
var ipath = idoc.pathItems[i]; if (ipath.pathPoints.length==1)
straypoints.push(ipath);} for (j=0; j<idoc.textFrames.length; j++) {
var itext = idoc.textFrames[j]; if (itext.textRange.length==0)
straypoints.push(itext);} for (k=0; k<straypoints.length; k++)
straypoints[k].remove();
I also want to automatically remove all objects who have a white fill (white background) and no stroke.
Problem is a created pdf-file of an html-file of a table that must be cleaned up. There are a lot of stray points, empty text frames, unpainted objects, white "cells" that are also be painted in the pdf.
I made this image for printing onto t-shirts, but the printer came back and said that it was far too low a quality. only 23dpi when they require at least 72 and preferably up to 300dpi. I tried to increase the resolution but fell back on trying to remake the image.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI want tthe text overlay in the slide show module to include the file caption. My captions are long and need two or more rows of text. The problem I have is that Lightroom will only display the caption text on a single line that runs well outside of the slide area. Even if I make the text small by grabbing the center point of the text box and make the height small, the text stays on a single line and extends outside the slide area. I am not able to grab a corner and drag the text box to a more square proportion forcing the text to break into multiple lines. As far as I can tell this is not possible.
View 2 Replies View RelatedInstead of adding text as a prefix or suffix i would like to know if it is possible aswell to remove text from within text: For example:
I have these texts "I am not good", "he is not good", "what not to be" And i would like to remove the word "not" from all selected text so i would get "i am good", "he is good" , "what to be". The set word not will always be the same, so there is no need for user string input.
I want to create arrows as an overlay on a sports video to highlight a certain player. Thought I could do this by creating a title using Winding3 font - but when i select Windings3 font in Corel Video Studio - instead of seeing arrows - like i do in Word, I see the alphabet? Is there any way to create Arrows in Corel VideoStudio 4Pro?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI created two projects for a dance performance:
Project A was for the first half. It had 2 video tracks, an audio track, and a text track.
Project B had 2 video tracks an audio track & a text track.
I opened VideoStudio 5 with no project loaded.
I then went into share mode & picked generate a DVD
I then loaded project A & then loaded project B
I built a main menu which had links for project A & B
I built a "sub" menu for project A
I built a "sub" menu for project B.
I then previewed (via the DVD preview option in the SHARE step of videostudio) all menu choices. Project A & Project B played perfectly meaning that ALL tracks played at the proper time.
I then generated an actual DVD and an iso file.
I saved the project file that was used to generate the DVD.
When I played the DVD all of the effects and tracks worked for the project A material. However, only the main video track played for the project B material. In other words the overlay video track & the text tracks were ignored. I created another DVD from the iso with the same "bogus" results.
I then opened the the project that was used to generate the DVD. I went to share ... generate DVD ... preview project B worked perfectly (i.e. it utilized the overlay and text tracks).
In other words the generated DVD didn't include the video overlay & text tracks for project B. Yet when you preview it inside of VideoStudio share dvd preview the overlay track & text appears.
I have since generated a video only file for project B & the overlay & text tracks are there.
I assumed that you could import 2 vsp projects into one project during the share step when you create a DVD. Is this the problem? Or is there a bug in VideoStudio pro 5?
I'm using Photoshop CS. I want to make a text, and then I press the enter button. But, instead of a second paragraph, the text overlays. How can I solve this problem?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI created some type layers in Photoshop CS6 and the flattened. I made the background transparent. there it shows checkerboard background.then I imported to PP and added to the video track, but instead of just text, the background is white, blocking out the video entirely.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have some text blocks in Illustrator CS 6 that display the red plus sign that indicates overset text but there is no overset text. It occurs in files that were created with earlier versions of Illustator and now we are reworking them. It can't be deleted. I have cut the text in the box and pasted it into a new text box to no avail. It is not a screen artifact. I have tried copying everything in the file and pasting it into a new file and the little red plus sign comes along. It doesn't print, of course.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am working with tables that are linked to data from an excel file.After I create a table I dettach it from the excel file. I do not want the excel file to control the table.
I then need to update the text format of all the text in the table. I've noticed that the text strings are still formatted based on how the excel file was formatted.
The only way to remove this is to click on the cell, highlight the text, right click, and then select Remove Character Formatting. Unfortunately I have to do this for each text string.
Is there a way to remove the character formatting for all of the text strings at once?
Even better, is there a way to format the table so that it does not change the text style based on what is in the excel file but instead based on AutoCAD's text styles?
