I have been working on this framing plan and come to find out - much of the text and some of the lines are being entered off of the 0 - Z plane. get everything down to 0? Flatten does not work and I have searched high and low for a resolution, but I'm not getting anywhere.
I know the lines are mostly at 0, which makes it very confusing that the text would enter off of the 0 - Z plane.
I cannot seem to trap the Enter key in a text box.
I tried the following:

every time I try to enter / alter text, autocad informs me that it can't find a dictionary for spell checking purposes. I can live with that, but the constant pop-up is getting old.
I tried to reset my Main Dictionary... but it seems to be gone. Is a fresh re-install in order?

I have done a drawing of some house plans. I am now trying to enter text in model space, but when i enter it, it appears very small at 2.5, only if i enter at 500 it appears ok. In the layout tab the text at 500 appears very large, and when i enter 2.5 it appears ok. I have not made any changes anywhere.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI am using AutoCAD LT 2014. Whenever I open a drawing, I receive the error message, ** Undefined shape XX with XX representing different numbers (50, 120, and 53). According to the KB, This error message is typically displayed when a required font style is not available for use. The solution is to copy the fonts from another computer but my issue is, I don't have another computer with the working fonts.
Additionally, I am unable to enter any text into the drawing using the Single line or Multiline tool. From MTEXT, whenever I enter any letters, I receive the same error message ** Undefined shape XXX.
My support file search contains links to all of the necessary files

i have a drawing boarder that is a block with enter-able text fields for drawing revision etc but for some reason the order in which you would enter the rev's 1,2,3, etc is the wrong way round in the enhanced attribute box. So when i click and start typing i end up with 3,2,1 in the rev boxes.

My goal is to insert the data with text at a point of the user's choosing, so the end result is a text object in model space that looks like this:
Total Objects: 2
Total Tread Plate Area: 20.83 sq ft
.125 AL Tread Plate Weight: 40 lbs
.125 Steel Tread Plate Weight: 128.33 lbs
How to do is to have the text appear on multiple lines, instead of all across one line. Is there a way to mimic the enter key to enter the next line of text, just like when you use the text function in AutoCAD, instead of using multiple text commands and having to position each one using code.

In my current drawing, when I click into Model Space through a viewport and draw a leader, the leader is drawn with a Z coordinate of 0", but the text is being drawn at -9", so the leader is not associative and it doesn't have the tail on it. I just noticed it's also doing it in Model Space in the World UCS.

View 1 Replies View Related I've been using PS for a long time. I'm far from even beginner level, I'd say, but I know my way around well enough. I'm using PS CS6 on a Win 7 ENT machine.
If I open a new document, the text tool does nothing.If open a previously saved document, the text tool works just fine. So, I've taken to starting each new document by opening an older one, then modifying it.
Interestingly, in new doc, the text-entry point is exeedingly tiny and sits *inside* the upper left-hand resize box. In an previously opened file, it sits nicely in the upper left-hand corner of the box itself, patiently waiting at the preset font size.

I added the dimensions in a custom UCS and everything looks fine in paper space when looking at the TOP view but in model space I notice that the text is offset on the z-axis by a very large amount, like 7 meters large (I'm working in mm). When I attempt to start a new line of text in a text layer by pressing "Enter," it doesn't let me start a new line of text; instead, it stops editing the text layer altogether. I would like to be able to press "Enter" and have PSE11 start a new line of text in the text layer; I have been using Elements to create graphics since 2007 and have never encountered this problem.

- Uninstalling and re-installing PSE11

How to you warp text onto a plane in 3D space? In other words, have it presented at an angle as if it were on a grid where the vertical lines converged to a vanishing point.
I have been playing with Maya and Photoshop inorder to create an icon for the Web 2.0 revamping of my website. Here is a rough sketch of what I am trying to do:
It is a pseudo-globe coming out of a box in a way that it looks like a gift for the user.
The pseudo-globe will look something like this
And the box will be something like this
The logo will be in 3D and the words "Complete" and "Translations" will appear as if they are printed on the floor where the box rests against the edges of the box.
I imagine this must be an easy thing for many people here to answer. How do I do this? I have the basic forms already in Maya in the 3D space. How do I put the letters on the floor?

I think my problem should be easy to answer, today out of nowhere I suddenly had to type in the file names for different commands such as "save as" or in the layout options "from template" usually there pops up the standard folder list where you can choose the file you want.
In the pic you can see what happens if I'm clicking on "save as".
I just installed the educational version of Inventor and when i go to draw a circle in a sketch i cant enter in a specified radius. Any way to enable that?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI've always used the spacebar as Enter, it speeds up the way i work.I've just load 2013 and i'm using the Drafting & Annotation workspace, now when i use the spacebar it jumps to another command, i have to use the enter key to get it to do what i want.For example.
Type H, (spacebar), S, (Spacebar).
This should be - Hatch > Select,
instead i get 'Hatch' then it cancels the hatch commands and jumps to 'Stretch'
I have a problem and as this has happened the first time I fire up autoCAD I can see that I am not going to have as easy a time as I did with 3D studio Max.
I found a tutorial on line, and it was talking about the command line, so i was entering points like it said, fine. I had to put it down as something came up at work. Go back to it to play some more, now I can no longer specify points in the command line, pressing space or enter just clears everything and asks to specify a point again.
What have I don't to make this happen, or is it a bug in the program. I have tried restarting again but still no.

I tried doing it, but I only got number symbols as the result (#####).
I'm having a problem entering line lengths - something I remember occurring some time ago - but I can't' recall how I remedied it. The '@' symbol take time to register - instead of registering immediately as previously. I now have to check the command line each time and allow a moment for it to register before entering the values.
