AutoCAD Inventor :: Can't Enter In Dimension
Apr 6, 2012I just installed the educational version of Inventor and when i go to draw a circle in a sketch i cant enter in a specified radius. Any way to enable that?

AutoCAD Inventor :: No Longer Get Box Pop Up To Enter Dimension
Feb 27, 2013Something was changed in my Inventor settings yesterday, and I have no idea what it was, or how to change it back.
In the part sketch mode, when I go to dimension an object, I no longer get the box pop up for me to enter the dimension. I now have to double click the dimension in order to enter the correct dimension.
What was changed, and more importantly, how do I change it back?

" 8 Spaces at 5" = 40" ".... The 40 would be the default dimension value, everything else I want to add to the dimension... I have added tons of text information behind default dimension values, this is the first time I need to add the text before the value and cannot figure out how to get it to work...

this adds text after the default value of 40...

I know that solidworks always shows a triangle when you use the dimesion tool so you don't always have just the diagonal dimension. Oct 7, 2013my 2014 inventor crashed and since then when I try to dimension a circle, I get a small "half circle" icon and it dimensions the half circle instead of a diameter or radius. Is there a setting that has changed when I crashed? I cant right click to get any dimension options.
It seems that the diamter dimension works on other things. the part im trying to dimension is a frame generator part. I have dimensioned off of these with no problem.

::GetDependents(), nor ::GetDrivenBy(), nor ::GetParent() gives me the answer.

Like in this image above, I would like a horizontal dim between the vertical centerline and the intersection of the centerline and the edge of the part.I know that I can create a sketch on the view and project geometry/draw geometry... but that is such a pita.

Apr 3, 2013Is there a way to assign different dimension styles to different sheets in an idw. I have idw drawings with several sheets and use a couple of different dimension styles depending on what is on each sheet. I've created the dimension styles I want to use but I don't know how to assign a dimension style to a specific sheet. For now what I am doing is dimensioning, then as needed for the dimensions that need a different style, right click on the dimension and select new dimension style to changes its dimension style. I would like to assign dimension styles to specific sheets, is there a way to do this? Even though borders, title blocks, etc. are the same throughout the sheets, do I need to create different sheet formats to do this?
