When I open one particular image in photoshop CS3 the thumb in the Open menu looks correct, but the image opens with a reddish tinge over the whole thing. If I then double-click the image layer in the Layers window, the Layer Style menu pops up, the tinge removes itself and the image looks as it should. None of the other images I've been working on have this happening. Does anyone know what's up here. This is a .psd file with no layers above the image layer.
In Lightroom 4.2 when open and I want to edit in PSE 10, I go to Photo, edit in PSE 10, and PSE 10 opens, but there is no image. I want to edit in PSE 10 and can't. Using LR 4.2, and attempting to edit in PSE 10, PSE 10 opens but no image opens to edit
I have PhotoShop CS3 and EVERY picture I open in PS is yellowed...I open then in MS Paint and they're fine, same as IE, FF, and default photo viewer. What is wrong with it? Just did a fresh install.
Every image I open in Photoshop has a purple tinge to them. I think this must be a setting I have in the program. I can't even print screen it as when I do, it comes out in the correct colors. It doesn't do this in any other programs (indesign, illustrator etc)
Im having difficulty with having a unwanted reddish cast to my pics when desated in CS2, it has been suggested that im not using the standard colour profile, how do i find out and if necessary change it.
Whenever I print on my Mutoh from a file created in Photoshop, whether it's a PDF or TIFF, even though the background color is white it always prints in a very faint reddish color. How do I resolve this?
I just edited my my top 15 pics of a shoot i just did. I saved them in the RAW format. I didnt save the origional NEF, because i didnt want to not have the origional .NEF i took. It also saved a .XMP of the file. Ok, so saving goes fine, but when I open it again... it asks me about size, and some other things... I have no idea why its asking these things... I put in some numbers close to the picture size... and it opens grayscale, and totally distorted....most of them are just many lines...
I built 3 profiles with ColorMunki for three different papers (I print with an Epson 3880). Using each of the profiles, a slight bluish tinge appears in what I'll call the "margin" of the prints. My tests were done on 4x6 paper, but the image was only about 5" wide--so there's a 1/2 inch "margin" between the edge of the image and the edge of the paper. The bluish tinge shows up here, but doesn't extend into the white border of the print. The weird part: the bluish tinge appears ONLY using the profiles. If I choose "Managed by Printer" everything is fine. No bluish tinge.  This could be related to LR 4.3, which I downloaded just before making and installing the profiles.Â
I purchased a photo online and it will only open in raw format. I try to save it and it turns into a washed out mess. I want this to look like the file I saw online. Is there a way to open and save without it turning into a washed out mess?
I am attempting to have photoshop open a 16bit grayscale ramp that I generated in matlab, but a problem is occuring with mach banding still occuring eventhough photoshop is setup to be working in 10bit images right now. Are there other settings that I need to change inorder to fix this problem. (also I am using a 10bit monitor which is why I am working in the higher bits).
Photoshop opens automatically when I save any image from anyplace on the web and it is nerve racking! CS5 is the version. how to stop it from opening like that?
I use Photoshop 6. Whenever I open an image, it opens with crop tools around it. I would like to change that and have the images open with the Move tool selected instead. How an I change this default?
For some unknown reason when I try to open an image file using PSE9 the image opens at 1% resolution instead of full screen. I have to manually enlarge the file to 100% and then enlarge it's window as well. I've already tried re-installing the software but the problem persists. Using Mac OS10.6.8
On Windows 7, R-clicking on an image shows "Open With" CS6 but only 64 bit opens. How to also have 32bit as a choice? Since the majority of my plugins only work on 32bit I find using 64bit unfortunately useless. Hence I wold like to know if it is possible to right-click on asn image with explorer and have it open the 32bit version.
The Organizer and the Editor stopped working together in just 1 of my catalogs. It happens to be the catalog in which I have done the most image manipulations such as renaming, stacking, albums, rating, etc. Now, when I select a photo in Organizer and click on Fix, Edit, the Editor window comes up but the photo does not appear in Editor. The only way I can get an image into Editor is to pull it directly into Editor. Then, when I want to save it as a Version Set I have to choose File> Organize Open File in order to save the image as a version set. Other than deleting and re-creating the catalog, how can I get Editor to open the image from Organizer like it used to do?
Whenever I open photos from Lightroom (that already have lightroom adjustments) edit in Photoshop CC only opens Photoshop but does not open the image. Â If I open Images with "Edit in Photoshop" that DO NOT HAVE Adjustments, the image will open up in Photoshop correctly. I just came from Windows to Mac.
I use gimp for basic graphic work on images my clients send me. I mostly receive vector pdf's, but sometimes when i open them, the image is displayed all in white with a white background. i've played around in gimp to try and get the image to show but cannot succeed. i know there is an image in the file because i send it to a friend who uses illustrator and he manages to make the image appear somehow.
Everything has worked perfectly until today. Yesterday evening, I received an update notice from Adobe for an update called Adobe CSXS INfrastructure CS6 and I agreed to let install. It installed.
That seems to be where the problem started. Now, when I send an image from LR to Photoshop, it does not open. The "Edit in" command isn't working. PS opens, but the image does not appear.
I just downloaded and reinstalled PS CS6. I then asked PS CS6 to update, which it did. When finished, there was an error saying that Adobe CSXS INfrastructure CS6 could not install. Error code: U44M1P7  The good news is that now it all works again! So, the problem lies in the Infrastructure update, which I will not allow to update again.
Windows 7, 64 bit Photoshop CS6, all updates Lightroom 4.1, all updates
Why and how can I change my CS3 photoshop always opening with the first image I worked with after installation, months ago. Otherwise opening and closeing works fine. But every time I initiate the application, that first image opens.
I can open photoshop but it does not respond to anything, not even the Ctrl key. I have a new pheonix envy and windows 8. I have only used this photoshop program for one editing project. I have tried to reset the preferences with the keyboard shortcuts but nothing happens. I cannot quit the program or close the window. The program is completely frozen everytime I open it and all I can do it restart the computer. What could be causing this? It was working before I edited some photos....
I have CS6 and CC on my system. CC opens fine when I open it with the Shortcut. But when I try to open a tif file on my desktop, the default program is CS6 and not CC. So I try "open with and CC is not listed. So I go to browse and find the Photoshop CC.exe icon under programs and choose it, I can't get it to show in the list. I want to make this my defalult program and it won't work.Â
I just bought adobe creative suite 6 design and web premium package, I`m assuming photo shop cs6 is fully updated, I just installed it two weeks ago and I have not had any problems so far. Â I have windows 7 on a hp laptop which is bran new. today I went to open up PS and it immediately says cs6 has stopped working then it shuts itself down.
When i try to open Adobe Photoshop CC it only opens in the taskbar and Im unable to open it completely as a whole. My only option for the taskbar is to close the window.
I recencly purchased a new Mac. Specs: OSX Version 10.7.4 and installed my copy of Photoshop CS4 onto the machine.   When ever I restart Photoshop it always automatically opens the last doc in the program from the previous work session. Is there anyway to stop this from happening?
photoshop opens some jpg files 3 (i have a folder with 60 pics raw and jpg ) and it opens always via camera raw. I mean i want to open these 3 files like other jpg files , directly in photoshop.
