Whenever I print on my Mutoh from a file created in Photoshop, whether it's a PDF or TIFF, even though the background color is white it always prints in a very faint reddish color. How do I resolve this?

I have created a drop shadow on a green background.
Shadow Black value being C - 0Â Â M - 0Â Â Y - 0Â Â K -100.
In the file and the hard print the shadow comes out as a reddish color. How do I get the shadow Black?
I have been using Corel for printing customized shipping labels and flyers in B & W. I use Arial or Times New Roman ttf fonts for printing labels and texts and print out with a laser printer.  I did not have any problem in the past up to CorelDraw X4.  .  All text came out black with X4.  Recently, i upgraded to Coreldraw X5. When I printed shipping labels and texts with X5 in the same way as I have been doing with X4, the labels came out in faint prints. I could not use shipping labels printed with X5  for mailing out.  I repeated installing X4 and X5.  I see that something is wrong with X5. All labels and simple text prints are faint with X5. On the other hand, printing with X4 came out charcoal dark.  I installed X5 on both home and office computers.  Both gave the idential results. My computer runs Windows 7 professional. Printers are HP (office) or Samsung (home) laser printers. How to make prints darker? I am only concerned B & W print (not color because I did not try color printing yet).Â

The Polylines and hatching keep being faded whilst printing. I've checked lineweights, I've turned off everything to do with fading - even layer managers setting fade slide bar is turned off. I've massed with plot styles and still it is happening.

The icons are very faint in color almost like the colors of a negative picture. I know it should not be like this because other students menu bar shows up fine.

Have a question regarding setting up a file for printing 2-color images...Similar to an earlier thread, I am starting off with a CMYK file, which I've changedf to a grayscale file. However, this grayscale file is a layered photographic pattern, one layer has a crossstitch-like scanned-in pattern, another layer has a textured background pattern with little dots. I would like to convert this image to a 2 color image, where the different colored areas do not overlap(one color being the crossstitch pattern and the small dots, the other color the textured background). I've tried using the duotone function in photoshop, but keep on getting color blending of these two colors where they overlap. Is there any way using this duotone function to specify that the 2 colors don't overlap/overprint each other? I am planning to use 2 pms colors (7509 and 259 while I test out ways until I get my 2-color idea working).
I also tried doing spot channels, and even though this makes it easy to indicate which parts of the image are specifically one color or the other, the colors are flat colors, and I lose the texturing and "3-d" effect the grayscale pattern has right now.
Im having difficulty with having a unwanted reddish cast to my pics when desated in CS2, it has been suggested that im not using the standard colour profile, how do i find out and if necessary change it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I open one particular image in photoshop CS3 the thumb in the Open menu looks correct, but the image opens with a reddish tinge over the whole thing. If I then double-click the image layer in the Layers window, the Layer Style menu pops up, the tinge removes itself and the image looks as it should. None of the other images I've been working on have this happening. Does anyone know what's up here. This is a .psd file with no layers above the image layer.

After I cut down the sheet, I then have to hand write the name of the spot color onto the sheet of vellum in marker.
Is there any way at all, to make it so that CorelDraw would actually add the name of the spot color that is printed on each page to the information that is already being printed to the lower left? Ideally, it could be placed in the same area where it's already printing the plate information on the last line.

I started using PS CS4 demo and when I use the pen tool now to do selections, the stroke is very thin and light. You cannot see it as well in older PS versions. I have CS2 and the pen stroke is naturally easier to see. I cannot find anyway to darken the pen path stroke. Has anyone else noticed that the pen path is a lighter thinner gray path line than normal and how to make it easier to see?

I'm running Mac 10.7.5, with Photoshop CS5. My printer is a Brother MFC-J435W. Until just recently, I've not had any problem printing anything. But a few days ago I can't get the printer to print in color off of Photoshop. Any other program (LibreOffice, Preview, etc...) it prints color images just fine. But all Photoshop documents for the past week have been coming out black and white. I've checked and double checked all the Print dialog settings, and they're all set for color. Puzzled and annoyed does not accurately express things..

All the other cs4 products will print in color. Has anyone else run across this problem. photoshop will print to our other color copier just fine (its a konica minolta bizhub). Now when I print it with my own printer it looks darker and less vivid than on the screen. I put the colors to CMYK format. I also get the exact same result when I print it in RGB.
I used to use Photoshop CS on my old PPC eMac with OS 10.4.11 (Tiger), and printed successfully on good quality glossy photo paper using an Epson Stylus Photo R340 printer. I have now upgraded to an Intel Mac mini with OS 10.8.3 (Mountain Lion). I am afraid I cannot afford to buy the latest version of Photoshop, so I have installed Parallels Desktop and, within it, Snow Leopard Server, so that I can run Photoshop CS2.

I have now got the correct driver for my printer and all the printer and paper profiles. Using exactly the same profile and other settings that I used to use with Photoshop CS on my old computer, when I printed a TIFF image, the results were a print with extremely pale, washed-out colours. When I used the 'Preview' feature of the printer software, the colours looked good, but when I printed they were hopeless.

I don't think it is the printer. If I set the Photoshop output to let the printer determine colours, I get quite good results. But when I switch to letting Photoshop determine colours, I get these impossibly pale colours. I have checked through all the preference settings of Photoshop CS2 and cannot find anything that might account for this misbehaviour.
I have an on going issue with quite a few of my files. They look great in photoshop or when I save them as .jpg's or other images but when i save them as .pdf's (no matter the setting) the fonts render horribly showing only faint outlines and no fill. This is a major issue as I am sure you can see.

I have seen a difference in the color and the shape when I send something in to be printed by a Print company. The file looked alright to me on the screen, but when I got it back the shape was "stretched". I print inkjet CD labels on a Primera Signature Pro Printer as well and some of the labels have come out stretched out of shape as well. It's not terribly out of shape, but enough to mess up the artwork. Any suggestions as to how to check for proper sizing and color?

I just got a new computer installed, same monitor tho. Ever since I got this new computer, I am unable to print in PS as well as I used to be able to a couple days ago. The color is way off. I have applied my color settings throughout all my Adobe programs to be the same in AI 10, ID CS3 & PS 7.0. I also have a Xerox Phaser 7750 GX.
There is a computer in back of me that prints great & how my computer used to print. Are there some settings that I should check there to compare with?
