For some unknown reason when I try to open an image file using PSE9 the image opens at 1% resolution instead of full screen. I have to manually enlarge the file to 100% and then enlarge it's window as well. I've already tried re-installing the software but the problem persists. Using Mac OS10.6.8

View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm working on a large image and while the Organizer is fine with it, neither the Editor nor the Full Screen view of the Organizer will work with it.
Currently I have MaxImageSize at 200M, but can't find a similar setting for the Editor, and clearly it doesn't work for the full screen view either, so if there is a setting that enables these functions, that would be useful information.
The Organizer and the Editor stopped working together in just 1 of my catalogs. It happens to be the catalog in which I have done the most image manipulations such as renaming, stacking, albums, rating, etc. Now, when I select a photo in Organizer and click on Fix, Edit, the Editor window comes up but the photo does not appear in Editor. The only way I can get an image into Editor is to pull it directly into Editor. Then, when I want to save it as a Version Set I have to choose File> Organize Open File in order to save the image as a version set. Other than deleting and re-creating the catalog, how can I get Editor to open the image from Organizer like it used to do?
View 2 Replies View RelatedLike many other users on these boards, I am unable to complete a full backup of a particular catalog on my machine using PSE 11 (or PSE 10 for that matter). I have four catalogs on this machine and three of the four complete the full backup process without any problems. That last, non-cooperating, catalog is much larger (7,389 photographs) than the others, but I do not think that this would pose a problem.
I have removed all videos, audios, projects, PDFs, and audio captions (in other words, all media types other than photographs) from the catalog. The only files remaining are photographs (that is, JPG files). I attempt to complete a full backup and, when calculating the total media size, the PSE 11 application freezes at five to six percent. I have attempted this in PSE 10 as well, but with the same results.
The only other item of note is this, when I search for the various media types, I see the message "no media to be displayed" in the middle of the organizer window. However, when I search for video, I do not see the message--the organizer window is blank (no text message as seen for the other media types).
Lastly, I have reconnected all missing files. (None.) Optimized the catalog. Fixed errors in the catalog anyway. (None.)
how I can complete a full backup of this catalog? A large cash reward awaits.
Adobe Photoshop Elements 12: I need to create a Web Photo Gallery so I can upload thumbnails and full-size pictures to my own website. No Facebook, Flickr, Adobe Revel etc.
View 2 Replies View RelatedEach time I open a new image in ACR and then open image the editing screen reverts to QUICK mode and a smaller screen size. I then have to click to change it to EXPERT mode and then click to make it full screen. I never had this problem with PSE 10.
(I am bringing RAW images in from outside and not via Organiser.)
Is there a way to set these defaults?
I've been messing around with this shape, mostly based on ideas from the skull medallion tutorial over at Gimp users, and was wondering what is causing the white jagged line that appears along the bottom of the wing and also to the outer edges. It only appears after I have run the Lighting Effects filter.It's not too obvious on the full size image of the batman type symbol, but becomes quite noticeable when a section is enlarged.

View 5 Replies View RelatedOur supplier sent us some wierd size pdfs that are not full size or half size. I am trying to resize them to full size pdfs (Arch D) but am unable to figure this out in Acrobat.
My work-around is to insert them in AutoCAD and scale them based on known dimensions, then print to pdf. Unfortunately the resulting file is collosal and the quality degraded.
Since I updated to CC I've had a bug that drives me a little nuts. Because I have a Retina MacBook Pro connected to an Apple Thunderbolt display, Photoshop seems to get confused about the size of the window to open. It thinks it should be sized to fit on the Retina screen (which I use as secondary), but at 100% on the non-retina screen (the primary display).
The end result is that every time I open a document the window is only showing the top quarter of the document I'm opening. I always have to hit command plus, command minus to get it displaying right.
So I'm attempting to draw in Photoshop, but every time I put the pen on the tablet, the slightest pressure opens the brush size menu off to the side of my pen. I can't figure out how to turn this off. I can't sketch at all .

New to Adobe, I have had several issues with consumers images. I can not find how to save as jpeg and keep photo intergrity. Either the processer (local pharmacy, big name store.. etc) is cropping my images badly. I have been told this is my problem when I save in jpeg format. How do i protect my image? Originally print resoltuion was set to 240 dpi but was changed in case this was causeing a problem. CRAW v 7.4.0.137 Camera alpha 65, image size is: 6000x3376 dpi; (83.33x46.88 inch) Problem is: Currently when I edit a RAW file in CRAW and then open in pse editor image size is: 6000x3376 px; 25x14.667 inches at 240 dpi ( by ration this corresponds to:17.773x10 inch at 337.6 dpi)
I am trying to change settings so the raw file opens as: 17.776x10 and anywhere from240 to 337.6 dpi whatever works or is esiest to set.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm in PSE 10 and when I crop a small portion of an image and accept the crop, it remains a small image instead of snapping to a larger image like it did in PSE 6. I know there must be some way to have the small image automatically made larger rather than having to click on the magnifier and "+" and then on the image until it is a size I can work on. View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a background that has 8.5" x 11" external dimensions. In the project bin, I'm also showing a layer (with transparent edges) that I've resized to 1" x 1.5". When I double-click the background to put it on the screen, and then drag the layer onto the screen, why doesn't it look like a small picture on top of a big one? Instead, it's huge, and I have to drag it down to size with the move tool!

Running PSE9 under Mac OS X 10.6.8 Snow Leopard.
My project is a montage of stamp-sized images on a letter-size background, as in the attached -- commemorating the woman in the centerpiece. I've stumbled though this kind of effort before with great success. This time the small photos are coming out blurry, and it's because this time I've done one thing differently.
In prior efforts, I recall somehow reducing the outside dimensions of an open file to about 2" x 3" before editing and finally adding it as a layer to the big background (using Move Tool to size it to fit), although during editing I was working with a reasonably-sized image and not a stamp (probably using command +). The images in the final version were all sharp. On this effort, however, cannot remember how to do it the same way, and I ended up working with the original photo, and then when I added it as a layer, I reduced it using the move tool -- very clumsy in view of the fact that the edited layer's image seemed to be larger than the canvas I was building, and the final images were blurry.
