i am wanting to change it into a 2cm X 2cm avatar that is less than 6K in size,
how do i do this? everything i try makes the output file about 24k in size.
the reason i am doing this is the forum i regularly post on has a max avatar size of 6k.
When creating a new image, it always defaults to CMYK for me... is there a way to set it to default to RGB?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI want to change the size of the image in Gimp to 3957x4429 px (67x75 cm) at a 150dpi (the image we have has a 300 dpi.) When i do this in image - print size it keeps changing the width.
The system is not allowing me to get the picture a few cm larger. Is there any way I can overwrite this?
i'm using gimp 2.6.11 on a windows 7 enterprise machine. I made some brushes in rbg mode and saved as gbr, and also converted some ps brushes by exporting an abr as a png in rbg mode then saving as gbr. my goal is to get a gbr brush that i can change the color to the foreground color. I tried changing the mode from rgb to greyscale but when i try to re-save as gbr i get an error message that brushes can only be saved in greyscale or rgba (!).
i've tried saving the gbr as a png, changing the mode to greyscale and then saving as gbr but i get the same error message.
Any good skin texture brushes for gimp that can be used with foreground color? It's for a digital portrait of a male so I need an orangepeel texture and some other skin textures that aren't too airbrushed.
Theres a screen in Photoshop where you can change size of a picture from large to medium to small by sliding a scale. I found it once but now cant find it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have to process a couple of thousand photos. What I need to do is get PS to resize the canvas so that Height=Width, no matter which is the larger. In the area where it increases the canvas size, it should then have white space.
So that for a 10x5 landscape picture, it resizes to be 10x10 canvas, for a 5x10 portrait picture, it resizes to be 10x10 canvas, etc.
Each time I open a new image in ACR and then open image the editing screen reverts to QUICK mode and a smaller screen size. I then have to click to change it to EXPERT mode and then click to make it full screen. I never had this problem with PSE 10.
(I am bringing RAW images in from outside and not via Organiser.)
Is there a way to set these defaults?
I have a problem on resize images. How to resize the images from 72dpi to 300dpi without changing the image size in Photoshop CC? It enlarges the images or pixels, but i just want the pixel to stay the same.

Heigth: 160 mm
after clicking "OK", these go to 160,2 mm or less than 160 mm.
The same with the sizes and places of objects etc. I create a 20 x 20 mm circle. One click later it is 19,89 x 19,89. I set it's location to X: 80 mm, Y: 80 mm. One click later: 80,02mm
have a photo that was taken by a photographer so it is very large. I want it as a Facebook Cover for my business page but when i try to make it fit the required height and width is is either to small or if i change the image size or canvas size it doesn't look right...

On another image, I tried to do the same thing but the texture is a small repeat pattern and doesn't look like glass at all. I tried to get the effect by changing size and hardness and pattern size of the brush but no luck. What should I do?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have hundreds of pictures from a recent trip that I want to print to a 4x6 print. The problem is that the pictures were taken in the incorrect ratio for this print size. I want the entire picture - with a white border around it if necessary. I can get Elements 9 to do this for me for home printing from the print screen and selecting the print size that I want. However, I want to upload these photos to an online printing service (snap fish, shutter fly, etc). I have tried using their digital print size option on Snap fish, but it still crops my pictures.
So,
1. How can I get elements to save the file for me in a compatible 4x6 ratio without cropping, that I can use to upload to a printing service?
2. How can I do this in a batch process as there are over 1000 pictures that have this issue?
3. If elements can't do this, what software can
I found a forum entry about changing the font size of captions in a slide show in PSE9. The fixer said there was no global fix to change the default font size for captions in PSE9. Is there a way to do that in PSE12? When my captions show up on the screen in PSE12, they are so small I can barely read them. I would like them all to be larger.

View 7 Replies View RelatedSo we've been sent a DWG file for a large site, that includes a massive aerial (TIF) image.
At this point it's too large to even work with so I'd like to scale it down (proportionally, so it will still maintain the same aspect ratio).
For simplicity sake, lets say the image is 15,000 x 15,000 and I want to scale it down to 5,000 x 5,000.
The problem is that AutoCAD seems to use that pixel size to determine the actual scale, so when I updated the new (smaller) image, it was also 3x smaller in the world.
How do I scale down the image independently of the size so it will still maintain the same scale in the CAD world? (I'm a 3D guy so this is akin to scaling down a texture, yet having the plane its projected on maintain its original scale.)

View 1 Replies View RelatedThere seem to be a problem with PSE10 and PSE11 on my computer when loading image files digitized on my film scanner. When loaded into the editor the image file immediate takes today’s date and time, and thus changes place on the timeline. However, sometimes the original image file date remains intact, for no obvious reason. I find this very frustrating.
My setup is an HP computer running Windows7 Ultimate 64 bit, with i7 processor and 12GB memory. My film scanner is a Minolta Dimage Elite II working with a Windows XP-based computer, and data are transferred using memory stick.
It might be mentioned that I have made tests with a fixed set of image files on several computers running WindowsXP 32 bit, and several versions of PSE , including PSE10, without seeing this problem.
New to Adobe, I have had several issues with consumers images. I can not find how to save as jpeg and keep photo intergrity. Either the processer (local pharmacy, big name store.. etc) is cropping my images badly. I have been told this is my problem when I save in jpeg format. How do i protect my image? (For example, if I drew an ellipse with stroke weight 2 pt, and then increased the size the stroke weight would be 2.856 pt or some such number instead of 2 pt.) How to change this back?

Originally print resoltuion was set to 240 dpi but was changed in case this was causeing a problem. CRAW v 7.4.0.137 Camera alpha 65, image size is: 6000x3376 dpi; (83.33x46.88 inch) Problem is: Currently when I edit a RAW file in CRAW and then open in pse editor image size is: 6000x3376 px; 25x14.667 inches at 240 dpi ( by ration this corresponds to:17.773x10 inch at 337.6 dpi)
I am trying to change settings so the raw file opens as: 17.776x10 and anywhere from240 to 337.6 dpi whatever works or is esiest to set.

I have to manually enlarge the file to 100% and then enlarge it's window as well. I've already tried re-installing the software but the problem persists. Using Mac OS10.6.8
