Jul 2, 2013When I open a photo in Photoshop CS6 I can see photo in the layers palette but it doesn't show up on my screen to work on.The only way I can get it to show up is if I act like I'm going to close Photoshop.
Then when it asks if I want to close I say "No". Then my photo shows up so I can work on it.

Aug 20, 2013Windows Explorer set to open image files with PSE11, but when I double click on image in WE it launches PSE11, but I then need to click on Open tab in PSE11 to get it into work window. PSE10 did not have this problem

Im using the program for longer times without any problem.But since nearly a week the new pictures, i import to my PC will not shown as a miniature in the organizer screen. i only see a sand-glass. Older pictures are already to see and i can select a single picture to see just this one...it will be shown.
I try to reorganize my catalog...doesn't change.

Dec 21, 2012I have a few folders that show no evidence of photos. When I Add Unmanaged Files it says that they are already catalogged or the file format is not recognized. When I open these files in the Editor and save the dited version, they show up in the Organizer, but I cannot get any of the others in this folder to show up. It seems to be working in the other folders with pictures. These are jpg files BTW

Mar 20, 2014PSE 8, Windows XP.I have a large file of photos of ferns. They are in tiff format. I have tagged them with categories and subcategories. Wanting a separate file of the same photos in jpg format I did the following:
1. I selected all the photos in the folder and went to file|write keyword tags and properties into photos.
2. I exported the 900+ photos to a new folder keeping names intact but changing from tiff to jpg
3. I went to file|get folders from files and folders
4. I found the folder and got it.
5. PSE imported the photos into the catalog first asking me if I wanted to import the tags. I checked select all
6. PSE shows the thumbnails but there are no tag icons and if I select a tag from the tags list, it finds the photo for the tiff photo but not the jpg photo.
Photoshop Elements :: Blur Tool Not Working And Guided Option Doesn't Show Menu
Apr 15, 2013I bought and downloaded PSE11. However, I don't think I disabled my virusware. It took an especially long time to download and I don't know if it downloaded correctly. My blur tool does not work and my "guided" options are not there. What is the easiest fix- uninstall and remove the serial number then reinstall using same serial number? My question with this is- how many times can I do this, and or is there an easier fix? I have PSE11 and LR4 and I am going back and forth between which one to use. I really need all the options to work from PSE11.

Jul 16, 2013In Elements 11 on a Windows 8 64 bit machine. I can upload photos to Facebook using the standard quality without any problems.
However if I select the High quality option, the upload appears to work, I get the progress bar, and the done message, and if I select a new album the album is created on Facebook, but the album is empty and the photos do not appear anywhere in etiher the newly created album, or an existing album if that has been selected.
The orignal files are JPGs around 7.5MB in size.

Oct 22, 2012Using the horizontal text tool I can make a text box, but no text-blinker shows up in the box and when I type no text will appear. Although, in the Layers pannel on the right side it does name the layer whatever I have typed so why won't it show on the picture? Even if you make all other layers invisible the text layer still does not show up on a blank background.

I suspect I need to replace the catalog. I have full backups with TLY and BUC files on external hard drives but I'm past my skill level to proceed.

Dec 5, 2012Exporting my photo’s from iPhoto to the desk top and then importing to Photoshop Organizer 11, ALL photo’s show “Missing File” icon (?) in the top left corner when I eliminate photo’s from iPhoto. Why do I have to keep photo’s in iPhoto? Is there a workaround?
If I import iPhoto photo’s directly within Organizer I loose photo information.
