I have a new Cannon 70D camera. I shot RAW photos this past weekend and downloaded the photos to my computer. I try to open them in Photoshop Elements 10 and I get a message that they are in the wrong format. My photos have .CR2 on them. Does this new camera require a upgrade in Photoshop?
Photo will not open in Elements 12. When I double click on a photo in My Pictures it does not open. Elements 12 opens but no photo. What am I doing wrong. It worked before, but all of a sudden it wint work.
I have PSE 9 with RAW update 6.5 installed and have the following cameras Canon G11, Powershot S100, and Sony NEX-7 all on the camera supported list. Checked in "PSE 9 help" under "system" and it shows thar Raw 6.5 has benn installed but I still can not open Raw photos from any of the cameras.
When I try to open any photo using PE 11 as the default application, the photo doesn't open. I have to open the application first and then search for and import the photo into the application. Is this the way it is supposed to work?
I have PSE 10 and I recently decided to start some shooting in RAW. However, when I open my photos( I have a Canon Rebel T2i so the file extension is .CR2), it says, "processing Camera RAW file" and then opens the photo in the full edit mode instead of the Camera RAW dialog box. I checked my plug-in, and I have version 6.7 of the Camera RAW plug in. I'd really like to start working with Camera RAW! Oh, and I am working abroad for a couple months and do not have my installation disks with me, so uninstalling and re-installing PSE is not an option.
When opening my jpeg photos in Photoshop elements 9, once saved elements seems put the image in a format that my Apple Mac isn't compatible with. So when I then try and upload the images to Facebook or other software in a bulk upload the images are highlighted and I therefore can't select them and upload.
New user to PSE11. Is it recommended that ALL photos be in albums or is the idea that photos in albums are a subset of the photos in folders? With all the sort and search functionality, I don't understand the benefit of albums.I name my image folders using a standard naming convention with the date embedded so it makes them rather easy to manage.
The instructions in Adobe Photo Elements 11 Classroom In a Book are the classic Windows "Drag and Drop" Method. However, when I try to do it, the cursor/icon I am dragging turns into a gray circle with a gray diagonal when it reaches the Media Browser pane in the Organizer and the folder/photo is not imported into the Organizer when I "drop." Do I need to change setting in Windows (Vista, SP2) or Photoshop Elements 11?
My photos are OK in the Organizer, but the portrait photos are cut off at the top or bottom when used in a slide show. I have checked the "Crop to Fit" portrait selection but it makes no difference. I have Version 9 of Elements.
I just upgraded to photoshop elements 11. When I attempt to sync photos in iTunes (to synch with my iPhone), Photoshop Elements appears in the drop down and when I select it, it finds all the "albums" in the catalog. However, when I select an album to sync, iTunes indicates 0 photos are available in the album.
I'm running photoshop elements 11, iTunes 11.0.1.12, Windows 8 Pro.
if I try to sync "all photos and albums" it still reports that there are "0 photos" available to sync.
I've tried to make new albums, which iTunes "sees" the names, but there are "0 photos" available to sync.
I've also tried to sync with a folder (file system) which works just fine.
I can not paste photos from my photos file. If I start a blank file I can paste anything photos want from the web in as many layers as I want. If I try to paste a photo from my own photos file it becomes the back ground by itself. I don't know how to stop this. Using photoshop elements 11.
Windows Explorer set to open image files with PSE11, but when I double click on image in WE it launches PSE11, but I then need to click on Open tab in PSE11 to get it into work window. PSE10 did not have this problem
I cannot open photos in Photoshop CS6. I can open them in Photoshop Browser and Camera Raw, but cannot open them in Photoshop. Blue circle comes on for about three seconds, then changes to a plus sign, and nothing else happens.
I have recently bought a Canon EOS6D and my raw photos will not open in my version of photoshop, which is cs5.1. I have looked at the camera types photoshop cs5.1 camera raw covers, and my camera isn't included. Is there anything I can do to open my raw images?! Or will I have to update my version of photoshop?
I have Photoshop set were it opens photos in raw interface when I first open them into Photoshop.
I usually do my tweaks in RAW interface then open the photo. I find that I may want to go back to RAW interface in the middle of editing to do more correction or add Raw presets. How do I open RAW Interface back up on the photo without saveing/exiting and then reopening? I read I can do this when I open a photo a smart object. But how can I do it if it is not a smart object?
When I open a photo in Photoshop CS6 I can see photo in the layers palette but it doesn't show up on my screen to work on.The only way I can get it to show up is if I act like I'm going to close Photoshop.
Then when it asks if I want to close I say "No". Then my photo shows up so I can work on it.
I am running Vista 64 bit, and have downloaded my CS4 to it. It will not let me download any updates thru the Help section- gives me "Adobe Output module 2.1 Failed to install. Install process has encountered a problem" but do you think it tells me what the problem is? It also tells me the "Services update- Failed to install" I have been at this for several days, and I am just about at my wits end! And when I try to open photos in CS4 it tells me "The specified module could not be found. C:Program Files (x86)CommonFilesAdobeAdobeVersionCueCS4Client4.0.1VersionCue.DLL" I understand the RAW files from my new camera (Canon T1I) won't open because there is no plug-in for it yet, but I can't even open RAW from my previous camera (Rebel XT), nor will it open any JPEGs. I get the same message for any attempts. I had no problems with the CS2 opening my older RAW files or JPEGs. When I open CS4 I get a message about the NVIDIA upgrade, which I finally was able to get that downloaded, tho I still get the message when opening CS4. I also am having issues now, that says the computer is giving me a "Blocked Startup Programs" message when turning on the computer. Is this affecting the CS4 somehow? I never had this message until the last month or so. Have no idea why it is now blocking programs. The Adobe CS4 Service Manager is on the list of blocked programs. Any ideas how to go about unblocking these, and reasons why they may have been blocked in the first place? The list is about 30 programs long! As you can tell, my computer "knowledge" leaves much to be desired!
I am trying to open raw photos from a Nikon D5100 in PS4. Cannot do it. I am told I need PS5. Must I purchase the PS upgrade (about $179) to CS5 or can I open the NEFs without additional purchase? If I need to purchase an upgrade, what exactly do I need to buy in order to view the images in PS and ACR?
When I try to open multiple raw photos from cs6 mini bridge, after selecting them, none open up. If I do one it works fine. I also tried the review mode and only one opens.
I am trying to set my photos to open in Photoshop CC. It was set to open just fine in regular Photoshop CS6 but once I installed Photoshop CC I was unable to open my photo's in photoshop unless I opened them in Bridge. I also can't open my InDesign documents unless I open them in Bridge. And I can't open Illustrator at all unless I open it in Bridge itself by adding the Illustrator.exe to my favorites in Bridge and then clicking on it. Is Photoshop CC not able to be the Default for photo's yet, is there a work around that can be done to have my computer register that it's even there to be set as default. Then when I uninstalled Photoshop CC because I WANT my photos to open automatically in Photoshop then when I went to re-install regular Photoshop CS6 it wasn't there to download so I had to reinstall Photoshop CC. Is there a way like I said to have my photos be open and to have my default be set in Photoshop CC?
