Photoshop Elements :: Can't Paste Photos From Photos File
Mar 18, 2013I can not paste photos from my photos file. If I start a blank file I can paste anything photos want from the web in as many layers as I want. If I try to paste a photo from my own photos file it becomes the back ground by itself. I don't know how to stop this. Using photoshop elements 11.

I try to open them in Photoshop Elements 10 and I get a message that they are in the wrong format. My photos have .CR2 on them. Does this new camera require a upgrade in Photoshop?

Dec 17, 2012I have PSE 10 and I recently decided to start some shooting in RAW. However, when I open my photos( I have a Canon Rebel T2i so the file extension is .CR2), it says, "processing Camera RAW file" and then opens the photo in the full edit mode instead of the Camera RAW dialog box. I checked my plug-in, and I have version 6.7 of the Camera RAW plug in. I'd really like to start working with Camera RAW! Oh, and I am working abroad for a couple months and do not have my installation disks with me, so uninstalling and re-installing PSE is not an option.

Version 12.0.4 x64.I've removed all printers.I've done the preferences reset trick by holding down CTRL+ALT+SHIFT when launching Photoshop.I've done the super weird ESC and CTRL+SHIFT+S described in the last link above (sounds like nonsense!). Photoshop was working fine on this same computer earlier, but one day decided to stop working.Can't even access the Adobe Chat support for CS5 even though I paid them a lot for this currently 100% useless software.
I'm running Windows 7 X64, fully updated.Photoshop CS5 (12.0.4 x64). Freshly installed.

But now when I try to open it, a message pops up saying: "could not complete your request becuase the file is not compatible with this version of photoshop." I understand that I should've saved as a jpeg too but is there any way I can get this back, I really don't want my hard work to go to waste and to have to start over! I am using Elements 10.
