Lightroom :: Lock Finished Photos To Keep Inadvertent Changes?
Aug 1, 2011i would like to have a feature in LR that allows me to LOCK finished photos to keep inadvertent changes from going undetected.
i would like to have a little key icon in the GUI of LR and the ability to set what exactly is locked in the LR catalog settings. so that i can either lock everything or only develop settings, keywords, ratings.. etc.[url]........
i know there are plugins who do this... but to be honest i prefer to have it build into LR.makes me feel safer and i know there will be no incompatibilitys in future versions..

Mar 18, 2011I am doing a rendering of a timeline with approx 1900 frames. I am using mental ray as my render engine. After the rendering runs its course, approx 20 hours, it completes with no problems. I open the saved avi file and the clip only captures the first say half of the rendered frames. I have done this 3 times now and for what should be approx a 60 sec clip i only get 36 sec.

Dec 5, 2012Exporting my photo’s from iPhoto to the desk top and then importing to Photoshop Organizer 11, ALL photo’s show “Missing File” icon (?) in the top left corner when I eliminate photo’s from iPhoto. Why do I have to keep photo’s in iPhoto? Is there a workaround?
If I import iPhoto photo’s directly within Organizer I loose photo information.

When I attempt to sync photos in iTunes (to synch with my iPhone), Photoshop Elements appears in the drop down and when I select it, it finds all the "albums" in the catalog. However, when I select an album to sync, iTunes indicates 0 photos are available in the album.
I'm running photoshop elements 11, iTunes 11.0.1.12, Windows 8 Pro.
if I try to sync "all photos and albums" it still reports that there are "0 photos" available to sync.
I've tried to make new albums, which iTunes "sees" the names, but there are "0 photos" available to sync.
I've also tried to sync with a folder (file system) which works just fine.

May 1, 2011Okay, I have a pretty simple scene that I am trying to render. I set the Output to HDTV as a AVI. When I play the finished AVI however it looks horrible, garbled and unrecognizable.
(It works normal when I don't select HDTV, but HDTV is fantastic looking.)

May 14, 2013not be able to go on to something else in a project because I have lines trailing behind my cursor, forcing me to use the undo key or to choose a different, less intrusive tool. Small problem I know, but this has kept me stuck for two days. I did find an answer for an older version that involved about 4 or 5 steps, which I found incredulous, since all I have to do is click once to select a tool. Anyway, the instructions didn't match my version (2.8.4) I hope the answer turns out to be simple, and does not involve multiple steps, because I use the tools a LOT.

Dec 7, 2011I have an assembly with approx. 200 unique parts. Most of them derrived from a common skeleton-file. And some (you could say a lot) iLogic code.
Depending on how big changes one makes, it takes between 10 sec and 60 sec to update. Considering the complexity this is ok.
But the problem is that it is difficult for the user to tell if the update is complete. I have tried to have the last line in my driving rule to show a messagebox: "Updating done". But the messagebox fires to early, and pauses the remaining updating. Even if I call InventorVb.Rebuild and/or ThisDoc.Document.Rebuild in advance.
