Photoshop :: Instantly Create New File From Bunch Of Scanned Photos

May 23, 2008

I scanned a bunch of photos onto a single page.

I want to extract each photo out into its own file (as either JPEG or PNG).

Is there a faster way than selecting, creating a new file, pasting, and then saving?

Can I instantly create and save a new file based on the selected image area?

Photoshop Elements :: Autofix A Bunch Of Photos At Once?

Mar 10, 2014

In the old Photoshop Album, I could transfer 300 photos (or more/less) at once, hit ctrl-A, then click "Photo Fix" and it would fix all the photos without having to select one at a time and taking forever.  Checking to see if Elements does that as well before I buy it.

CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6 :: Instantly Create Layers From All Objects Selected?

Aug 23, 2013

I have finished my works using only one layer( a bad habit I know) and now I need to export them as PSD, and as You know it needs Layers so it can be editable on Photoshop.

I know the fact that I should import all the objects in single Layers, ie creating thousands of Layers for all the work, new layer for each object I import.

But is there any option for easy extraction of objects into single layers, one click option or much easier than going individually through each of them?

If not available, this type of option would work for CorelDRAW or any vector program, be really more effective and stay in touch with the requirements of the industry, especially when it comes, on creating vectors for web or apps.

Lightroom :: How To Import A Bunch Of Photos

I used LR4 successfully last night for about three hours and everythig worked fine.  Just tried to import a bunch of photos the way I always do with my Lexar CF express card reader and LR4 gives me a huge error box and won't go any further.  I've rebooted but the same error returns.  I've attached a screen shot of the error.  Other software functions fine but I can't even close LR4 because of this error.

AutoCAD Inventor :: Recreate A Bunch Of IV-Studio Settings To Match A Bunch Of Renders

Jun 12, 2012

I'm trying to recreate a bunch of IV-Studio settings to match a bunch of renders made by previous staff that did not leave behind the assembly files they used to make them in the first place.

I've ran into a problem with some parts displaying incorrectly. (they display incorrectly in the render/in the studio environment/ in the assembly/ and when in the part file) I've played with material and appearance styles but they have no effect, I've also tried quality/performance/compatibility hardware modes.

We have 5 or 6 parts that share the ridge pattern that is causing problems and they are affected in the same way.I'm running XP(32), IV2012-sp2, fx1800 with 6.14.0012.6570 drivers.

Photoshop :: Saving Scanned Photos As Sequentially...

May 5, 2009

I'm scanning in page by page, without taking the photos out. (it's quick and dirty but works best for what I'm doing) Now I have templates set up in .psd for the differenrt sized pics, mostly 3x3 or 3.5 x 5, that I pull the scans into and touch up. Now I want to create an action that saves the photos as a .jpg, but when I do this it overwrites the previous .jpg. And I can't stop the action during the "save as" process. Any ideas what I can do here to streamline the process? I've tried searching, but couldn't find anyrthing specific to my perdicament.

Photoshop :: Artistic Filter Folder And Saving Scanned Photos?

Sep 27, 2012

In Photoshop CS 6, I noticed that some of the filters I use (Mostly The Cut Out Filter in the Artistic Folder) is not on the filter dropdown list anymore like it has been on other versions of Photoshop.  I have to go to FILTER GALLERY   Then I go to ARTISTIC then I can see the Cut Out Filter.

Is there any way I can make the Artistic Folder, or any other Filter Folder in the Filter Gallery a part of the Filter dop down list? This would be be a little faster and save me a few clicks with the mouse.

Question # 2. I have an EPSON 3490 Scanner and I scanned a document into PS 6 and it asks me to save it in a folder before I can open it up in Photoshop. Can I just Scan it in, and then decide where I want to save it? This was always the way in every other version of Photoshop. I really do not want to have 2 versions of the same picture on my computer.

Question # 3 Why does it always save as a .jpeg when I scan using Photoshop? I would like to always save it as a .psd as it scans in to Photoshop.

I'm a professional artist so I need really good photos of my work for promo and gallery applications.  My Brother gave me a really good Canon Scanner.  He told me I should try and scan my paintings, laying them on the scanner one way then the other (from top bottom and then side to side).  Once in the computer he said I should overlay them in photoshop (Elements 7) to minimize the glare from the brushstokes (It's oil paint).  [URL].  It worked but it's really blurry.

Photoshop Elements :: Divide Scanned Photos - Possible To Salvage When Background Is White?

Mar 13, 2013

I think Divide Scanned Photos feature is amazing! [URL] ....

For those scans I put black construction paper in the rear, it works like a charm.

However, my mom scanned multiple photos prior to us finding Elements and did not use a dark background.

Is there any way to salvage this or is it too late?

When we attempt to Divide Scanned Photos on a set of B&W photos with a white background, no luck.

PSE11 just spits out a copy of the same photo.

GIMP :: Separating Scanned Photos

May 25, 2013

I just got a new computer. I had Photo Shop Elements on my old one. I appears that Gimp can do the same things for free. One thing Photo Shop Elements did was provide a way to scan as many photos as would fit on your scanner and then provide a way to separate them. Can Gimp do that? Sometimes I would need to use Elements to open a scanned photo. Would Gimp open a photo scanned on Elements?

I am trying to decide whether to buy Elements for my new Windows 8 or download Gimp.

Photoshop Elements :: Scanned Photo File Names?

Oct 6, 2012

I have briefly used 3 versions of Photo Elements (9, 10 and11) and have experienced the same problem in all 3. Scanned images are labeled Image1.jpg, Image2-###.jpg, Image3-###.jpg and Image4-###.jpg. As you noticed, the first scanned image is ALWAYS NAMED IMAGE1.jpg.

Because this is happening on every scan, Elements is giving me the message that the first scanned image in each subsequent scan is already in the catalog (as Image1.jpg). All the remaining images in the scan are sequenced without any problem.

It appears as though Elements places all scanned photos into a temp location under AppData and then enters them into the catalog after the scan is complete. The file names in this temp folder are Image1, Image2, Image3, Image4. Image2-4 have their filenames changed, but Image1 doesn't.

The easiest way I have found to fix this is to rename Image1.jpg after each scan. I have looked around Elements and have no user available procedures to fix this.I am using an Epson Perfection V600 Photo scanner with Epson Scan software  3.83.

I am running Elements 11.
