When I try to open any photo using PE 11 as the default application, the photo doesn't open. I have to open the application first and then search for and import the photo into the application. Is this the way it is supposed to work?
View 3 RepliesThe Elements 11 Organizer icon in my Applications folder has a circle with a slash through it and when I click on it I get the error 'You can't open the application "Adobe Elements 11 Organizer" because it is not supported on this type of Mac.' The packaging for the software clearly states it is compatible with OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion. I did an uninstall and reinstalled with no other programs running, but still have the same problem. I originally had this software installed on an older Mac Mini running OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard with no problems at all.
I am able to open Elements 11 Editor, however, when I try to open a raw file from my Panasonic Lumix LX7 I get the error 'Could not complete your request because the file appears to be from a camera model which is not supported by the installed version of Camera Raw.' Once again, I had no problem opening this file on my Mac Mini and the Lumix LX7 is a supported camera. I am able to open a NEF file from my Nikon D5100, and I am able to open a JPEG file from the Lumix.
I just downloaded photoshop elements. When I try and open the download it asks what application do I want to use to open. I don't know. I have a macbook air.

It was set to open just fine in regular Photoshop CS6 but once I installed Photoshop CC I was unable to open my photo's in photoshop unless I opened them in Bridge. I also can't open my InDesign documents unless I open them in Bridge. And I can't open Illustrator at all unless I open it in Bridge itself by adding the Illustrator.exe to my favorites in Bridge and then clicking on it. Is Photoshop CC not able to be the Default for photo's yet, is there a work around that can be done to have my computer register that it's even there to be set as default. Then when I uninstalled Photoshop CC because I WANT my photos to open automatically in Photoshop then when I went to re-install regular Photoshop CS6 it wasn't there to download so I had to reinstall Photoshop CC. Is there a way like I said to have my photos be open and to have my default be set in Photoshop CC?

I know how to set defaults on a PC but the program does not even come up on the list of defaults. I've tried right-click on image and "open with" but no PSE12. If I use Browse and follow the path Program Files (x86)/Adobe/PSE12/PSE Editor.exe, there is no exe file, only the application. If I select PSE Editor, it does not make it the default.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI just bought Adobe Elements Photshop and Premier 11. I spent 2 to 3 hours getting my picture video library into Adobe's organizer. I had some problems with duplicate picture (that I wanted to be there - so I had to rename them) and a couple pictures with corrupted metadata. After I got all that sorted out I am a bit miffed about the folder view on Adob'es organizer.
I love that you can switch to folder view - since this is how I have been organizing my pictures for a long time. I would like to continue organizing this way for now until I get a grasp on the other ways I can organize them in elements. However, every time I close and re-open organizer it switches back to the default view instead of folder view. there is a way to set folder view to the default view!
After using Elements 12 for a months trial and then uninstalling it, I can no longer find Elements 9 listed when I right click on a picture file and select "open with". How can I restore it to my list of programs with which I can open the file. I'm using Windows 8 which list aps and some other programs but not Elements 9.

However, when I open my photos( I have a Canon Rebel T2i so the file extension is .CR2), it says, "processing Camera RAW file" and then opens the photo in the full edit mode instead of the Camera RAW dialog box. I checked my plug-in, and I have version 6.7 of the Camera RAW plug in. I'd really like to start working with Camera RAW! Oh, and I am working abroad for a couple months and do not have my installation disks with me, so uninstalling and re-installing PSE is not an option.

The only thing I remember happening was that at one point my Inventor was not able to establish a connection to the server where the liscence is stored and it gave out an error message. Ever since then, everything was reverted to default.

I've just reinstalled Illustrator 10 on my XP PC.Now when I try to get online help I see this message "No default web browser application is selected on your machine"...Of course I DO have a default browser.
I Googled this error and found references like. URL....Any clues; and has Adobe just deleted all their old techdocs?
when I select a swatch for an object the default was to apply it to the fill color. I don't know why but it started applying a swatch when selected to the outline/stroke instead. How can I change the default application of swatches back to the fill color?

Also, I can't open the program because when I do, it comes up with a box saying "The serial number 12345678987654321 is already in use by the maximum allowed computers. You must deactivate another computer or provide another valid serial number to use Photoshop CS6 Extended again on this computer." how to deactivate it without having to open the application, and uninstalling it doesn't deactivate it.
