Photoshop :: Unable To Open Any Photos In CS4
Jun 21, 2009I am running Vista 64 bit, and have downloaded my CS4 to it. It will not let me download any updates thru the Help section- gives me "Adobe Output module 2.1 Failed to install. Install process has encountered a problem" but do you think it tells me what the problem is? It also tells me the "Services update- Failed to install" I have been at this for several days, and I am just about at my wits end! And when I try to open photos in CS4 it tells me "The specified module could not be found. C:Program Files (x86)CommonFilesAdobeAdobeVersionCueCS4Client4.0.1VersionCue.DLL" I understand the RAW files from my new camera (Canon T1I) won't open because there is no plug-in for it yet, but I can't even open RAW from my previous camera (Rebel XT), nor will it open any JPEGs. I get the same message for any attempts. I had no problems with the CS2 opening my older RAW files or JPEGs. When I open CS4 I get a message about the NVIDIA upgrade, which I finally was able to get that downloaded, tho I still get the message when opening CS4. I also am having issues now, that says the computer is giving me a "Blocked Startup Programs" message when turning on the computer. Is this affecting the CS4 somehow? I never had this message until the last month or so. Have no idea why it is now blocking programs. The Adobe CS4 Service Manager is on the list of blocked programs. Any ideas how to go about unblocking these, and reasons why they may have been blocked in the first place? The list is about 30 programs long! As you can tell, my computer "knowledge" leaves much to be desired!

Oct 12, 2012I have Lightroom 4 and CS5. I'm trying to take my photos from lightroom into photoshop to edit them further. I've done this hundreds of times in the past and all of the sudden it's not working. When I select the photos I want to edit in photoshop, I click command E to edit them further in photoshop. Lightroom gives me a progress bar in the top left corner that reads, "Preparing files for edit," but nothing happens after that. The photos never get sent to photoshop and lightroom just kind of sits there. It doesn't freeze up or anything, but it doesn't send the photos to photoshop. I've tried uninstalling Lightroom and re-installing, but that didn't do anything.

Mar 27, 2013I originally installed trial version of Elements 11 and then purchased and installed full version. I have been working in Organizer/Elements and am unable to email photos. When I try to email, the email Adobe services comes up and when I enter my email address, it does not send a confirmation email to my email, what Adobe sends is a product advertisement that states your trial version has expired. It looks like it thinks I dont have the full version, but when I check products in MyAdobe, it shows both Elements 11/Premeire Elements as registered. Jan 4, 2013i cannot upload photos from Elements Organiser to facebook .. the upload gets as far as 1% and sometimes 12% but stops .. message pops up saying " There was a problem with your internet connection .Please check that the firewall is not blocking Elements Organiser from accessing the internet and that you have a internet connection
1 - Firewall is not blocking EO as i turned of my firewall but still get same message.
2- Have internet access as how come i am typing this on the Adobe site.

Jul 24, 2013I have downloaded Photoshop CC twice now.On first attempt I opened it and started to customise settings including which drive I wanted as a scratch disk.When I tried to reopen the program I had error messages of "Could not load default tool presets beacuse scratch disks are full " and then "Could not initialize because scratch disks are full ". I uninstalled via Windows7 Prof and reinstalled again but the same thing happened but this time I could not open the program to even customise it.
My PC runs on a SSD of 500GB which I use for Windows etc and still has 435 GB of space on it,I have a smaller older SSD of 120 GB which is now empty and an ordinary hard drive of 1TB which I use as a scratch drive and has 934GB free and 12GB RAM.I ran CS6 before on the old SSD with no problems.I cannot see how the scratch disk is full but understand that SSDs and Photoshop have had problems in the past.

Jan 14, 2014Recently I downloaded the PSE 9 program from a disk onto my new computer. When I opened it to use I am unable to find under "Organize" the "File", "Edit", "Find", "View", "Window" and "Help" on the upper bar/area. I uninstalled and reinstalled the program but still do not see those options. I'm just begining to learn about PSE 9, so am new to all this.
What am I missing or not doing exactly right that I'm have dificulty trying to view and use the above? I can start to use the program with photos download on my computer, camera or external hard drive.
