Feb 11, 2012I cannot edit or adjust photos at this time. the program come up ok but when I click edit there is no picture there. It is the same on adjust. Not sure if I unclicked something or what.

Jan 27, 2012I have recently upgraded from X4 to X5 and while when I first installed it I was able to click on a bitmap and get CorelPhotoPaint to launch - it now says Failure to launch server application. I have tried the F8 tip while opening both Paint & Draw, repairing the installation (from both the hard drive and the disk), and removing and reinstalling. I used to have X4 and even X3 on my system but have removed both of those versions. And yes, I have associated the files although within Corel the ticked boxes do not seem to stay put.

Feb 1, 2014I am still having a difficult time understanding how to use layers to edit photos in photoshop elements 12. All of the tutorials I have viewed about this have one common theme: the best way to edit photos in photoshop is to create multiple "layers" of the original background image so that different types of edits can be made to each layer, and not the original. This way the edits made to each layer can be compared to the original to make sure everything looks the way it should. Once all the edits have been made, then each layer is merged into one final touched up image, correct? Here is what is driving me mad. I have been lead to believe that when I edit a layer of an image, that any edits I make are only supposed to show up in the active layer and not in the original or any of the other layers I create. Is this true? If so, how can I set up my editor so that the edits I am making are only showing up in the layer I am actually working on? It seems to me that if the edits I make are going to show up in every layer, along with the original, then there is no need to use layers at all for editing photos.

Feb 1, 2014I'm still having a difficult time understanding how to use layers to edit digitial photos in photoshop. Based on every tutorial I've tried, I have found a common theme: the best way to edit photos is by creating copies of the original image and making different types of edits to each copy and then merging these edited copies into one final image that reflects all the edits combined. I have been lead to believe that the reason for making copies of the original image is so that edits can be made to each individual "layer" and not to the original photo. This way the edited layers can be compared to the untouched original to make sure everything looks the way its supposed to. Here is what is frustrating me to death. No matter how many "layers" I create of my original image, every edit I make shows up in every other layer I create along with the original. I thought that any edits I make to the active layer are only supposed to show up on that layer and no where else. Is this true? If so, how do I set up my editor so that the edits I make only show up in the layer I am actually working on? It seems to me if the edits I make are going to always show up in every layer I have created, and in the orignal image, then there is no point in using layers at all when I edit my photos.

Mar 27, 2013I originally installed trial version of Elements 11 and then purchased and installed full version. I have been working in Organizer/Elements and am unable to email photos. When I try to email, the email Adobe services comes up and when I enter my email address, it does not send a confirmation email to my email, what Adobe sends is a product advertisement that states your trial version has expired. It looks like it thinks I dont have the full version, but when I check products in MyAdobe, it shows both Elements 11/Premeire Elements as registered. I have my email sharing preferences in PSE 11 set to use Adobe Email Service. I successfully verified my email and I am able to send photos using this service; however, I am not able to edit the message that accompanies the photos. I can type in the address line and subject line of the email dialog box. But, I am not able to type in the body of the message. I would like to be able to write a personalized message. I believe that I was able to type a message in previous versions of PSE.
Type a custom message when using Adobe Email Service? If yes, how can I enable that feature?

Jan 4, 2013i cannot upload photos from Elements Organiser to facebook .. the upload gets as far as 1% and sometimes 12% but stops .. message pops up saying " There was a problem with your internet connection .Please check that the firewall is not blocking Elements Organiser from accessing the internet and that you have a internet connection
1 - Firewall is not blocking EO as i turned of my firewall but still get same message.
2- Have internet access as how come i am typing this on the Adobe site.

However, when I open my photos( I have a Canon Rebel T2i so the file extension is .CR2), it says, "processing Camera RAW file" and then opens the photo in the full edit mode instead of the Camera RAW dialog box. I checked my plug-in, and I have version 6.7 of the Camera RAW plug in. I'd really like to start working with Camera RAW! Oh, and I am working abroad for a couple months and do not have my installation disks with me, so uninstalling and re-installing PSE is not an option.

Jan 14, 2014Recently I downloaded the PSE 9 program from a disk onto my new computer. When I opened it to use I am unable to find under "Organize" the "File", "Edit", "Find", "View", "Window" and "Help" on the upper bar/area. I uninstalled and reinstalled the program but still do not see those options. I'm just begining to learn about PSE 9, so am new to all this.
What am I missing or not doing exactly right that I'm have dificulty trying to view and use the above? I can start to use the program with photos download on my computer, camera or external hard drive.
