How do I burn photos to a cd for customers so they can edit and use them? They are getting a locked message when they try to edit the photos. I recently purchased photoshop elements 11. I never had this problem with photoshop elements 4 which I used for many years.
View 16 RepliesI have Elements 8 and burning photos to a CD/DVD is very easy to do. who just bought a new computer and Elements 10 is on it. I tried on her version, but I couln't find how to do it. I couldn't even find a video tutorial on how to do it in Elements 10. She has not created an account yet - could that prevent access to the Adobe TV tutorials. I have had my version for two years and I forgot how I set it up.

All of the tutorials I have viewed about this have one common theme: the best way to edit photos in photoshop is to create multiple "layers" of the original background image so that different types of edits can be made to each layer, and not the original. This way the edits made to each layer can be compared to the original to make sure everything looks the way it should. Once all the edits have been made, then each layer is merged into one final touched up image, correct? Here is what is driving me mad. I have been lead to believe that when I edit a layer of an image, that any edits I make are only supposed to show up in the active layer and not in the original or any of the other layers I create. Is this true? If so, how can I set up my editor so that the edits I am making are only showing up in the layer I am actually working on? It seems to me that if the edits I make are going to show up in every layer, along with the original, then there is no need to use layers at all for editing photos.

Based on every tutorial I've tried, I have found a common theme: the best way to edit photos is by creating copies of the original image and making different types of edits to each copy and then merging these edited copies into one final image that reflects all the edits combined. I have been lead to believe that the reason for making copies of the original image is so that edits can be made to each individual "layer" and not to the original photo. No matter how many "layers" I create of my original image, every edit I make shows up in every other layer I create along with the original. I thought that any edits I make to the active layer are only supposed to show up on that layer and no where else. Is this true? It seems to me if the edits I make are going to always show up in every layer I have created, and in the orignal image, then there is no point in using layers at all when I edit my photos.

However, when I open my photos( I have a Canon Rebel T2i so the file extension is .CR2), it says, "processing Camera RAW file" and then opens the photo in the full edit mode instead of the Camera RAW dialog box. I checked my plug-in, and I have version 6.7 of the Camera RAW plug in. I'd really like to start working with Camera RAW! Oh, and I am working abroad for a couple months and do not have my installation disks with me, so uninstalling and re-installing PSE is not an option.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI'm new to LR4 and I need to burn some blown out photos. When clicking on the brush, choosing burn (darken), I then hold down "O" to highlight my work.
When I click the brush on the area to be burned, it puts a black dot there, moving the brush does not leave the red trail so I can see ehat I'm burning. Then when I move the exposure slider, nothing happens.
WHy is it leaving that dot and why cant I burn? It has been working fine for weeks, I must have hit a button or changed a setting.
I went to multiple other photos with no luck, rebooted my Mac, no luck.
I tryed brush A & B and it was working on B but it was much more intense of a burn and not what I was looking for.
I run an online wedding invitation design business. I first create the digital files of the invitations in Adobe Illustrator CS5, then secondly I email the PDF file to my customers, and finally the customers are responsible for printing the invitations themselves. Some people print from a home computer, some have a local print shop print them (professional OR places like Staples and Office Max), and some upload the design to an online print service.
I use Adobe Illustrator CS5 and cmyk colors to create my file.
2 times this year I have run across a problem that I don't know how to fix. The customer says that when they print the PDF at home AND at a local print shop (Staples or otherwise), the colors are not right. Specifically, my Peach color was printing Brown for her, and my light Pink color was printing Tan for her.
The first file I sent her was a PDF that I created from Illustrator. I also imported the .ai file into my Photoshop Elements 5.0, and then saved it as a JPG and PSD. Those two printed the same results for her. She printed from home and from Staples. Both printed wrong.
I have made 250+ sales in the last 12 months, and this is only the second time it has happened.
Can't burn a cd from elements 9. The problem seems to be that it will not display my devices for selection,

View 1 Replies View RelatedRight clicked on an album for "Export to DVD" and a little preview window opened & downloaded 360 images for 10-12 minutes, it closed, then I put a DVD in the tray & the program automatically started to burn to it for about 10 seconds. I checked the DVD and it only had nine images.
Tried the whole process again and got 7 images on this DVD. Why won't all 360 images in the album burn to the DVD [when they apparently all download to the "Preview" window?
