Photoshop :: CC In Windows 7 64 Bit Doesn't Start - Error 0x0000005
Aug 25, 2013
When I try to start the CC in 64 bit mode I get the error 0x0000005. (in 32 bit there is no problem)
Â
I'm using Windows 7, 64 bit and have been using other Photoshop versions without any problem. My current version of Photoshop is CS6. I've updated the Nvidia driver and that didn't work.
I downloaded Adobe Photoshop CS6 (Trial) and installed it. When I wanted to start it, it crashed immediately. Is my computer not good enough for Adobe Photoshop CS6? Because CS5 works fine on my PC...Here are some information about my PC
Operating System: Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 3 (2600.xpsp_sp3_gdr.120504-1619)  Language: German (Regional Setting: German) System Manufacturer: NVIDIA System Model: AWRDACPI BIOS: Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) XP, MMX, 3DNow, ~1.2GHz Memory: 1024MB RAM Page File: 759MB used, 4261MB available Windows Dir: C:WINDOWS DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904) DX Setup Parameters: Not found DxDiag Version: 5.03.2600.5512 32bit Unicode
I tried to start photoshop today and received two errors and the app will not start. I tried un-installing and re-installing (cloud apps), but I encounter the same errors  Can't post screen shots - you can't read them. First error says "Could not load actions as an unexpected end of file was encountered" The second one says "Could not initialize photoshop because the preferences file was invalid (it has been deleated)"  I haven't installed any new software. PS worked a few days ago, other programs working OK, even cloud stuff
Having installed Photoshop Elements 11(Windows 7)Â I cannot open the Organiser from the welcome screen. It can be opened via the Editor but few of the thumbnails are shown as pictures rather as empty squares. The situation does not improve with time but tends to get worse with pictures turning into squares. I have tried the tip with preferences but to no avail.
I am running Photoshop CS6 (Creative Cloud subscription) on a Windows 8 machine. While Photoshop itself starts perfectly OK when I click on the Bridge ikon I get a revolving little circle for a few seconds, then nothing. The same happens when I try to start it from within Photoshop. Mini Bridge says it can't start without full bridge running.Â
How to get Bridge to run. The only clue I can give to what could be the problem is that I had CS2 running on the machine prior to installing CS6 and I wonder if there is still some detritus from that installation hanging around. By the way I have searched the forum and tried most of the cures suggested in the past for similar problems on earlier versions of Photoshop. It is a anoyance rather than a game stopper for me as I manage my photo library using Light room but I would like to sort the problem out.
I'm running the cloud on a window machine 64 bit. Everytime I open Photoshop I get the error : It cannot start because it's missing plugplug.dll, then it does load.
Photoshop Elements 11 and Premiere Elememts 11 cannot get started - launcher can be opened, but program doesn't start..I'm working with Windows 7 and I have already installed the newest drivers for the GeForce GTX 550 Ti - but still no start of the program after launching! Â same applies to older installed version Photoshop Elements 8 and Photoshop Elements 10 which were working a couple of days ago.
I'm using an HP Envy x2, which is a tablet-laptop hybrid with an attachable keyboard, and I'm having an issue with Adobe Photoshop Elements 11. Â When I attempt to start a new line of text in a text layer by pressing "Enter," it doesn't let me start a new line of text; instead, it stops editing the text layer altogether. I would like to be able to press "Enter" and have PSE11 start a new line of text in the text layer; I have been using Elements to create graphics since 2007 and have never encountered this problem. Â Â I have already tried: - Uninstalling and re-installing PSE11 - Ctrl + Enter, Shift + Enter, Fn + Enter - Resetting the type tool - Making sure the spacing is set to Auto - Turning on and off the Num Lock key via on-screen keyboard
I have recently exchanged my HDD with a new SSD disc on a Macbook Pro running Mavericks. I have put an image of my original disc on the SSD and after installation everything runs fine as it should, except of Illustrator CS5, which doesn't even start up.I get the following error:
Adobe Illustrator cannot be opened because of a problem.Check with the developer to make sure Adobe Illustrator works with this version of OS X. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and OS X. Â If I actually plug in my old HDD as USB disc and start CS5 there, it runs no problem. Hence it doesn't seem to be a problem of the OS (anyway, it worked fine before changing the discs). The detailed crash report follows: Â Process:Â Â Â Â Adobe Illustrator [565]Path:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â /Users/USER/Desktop/*/Adobe Illustrator.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe IllustratorIdentifier:Â com.adobe.illustratorVersion:Â Â Â Â ???Code Type:Â Â X86 (Native)Parent Process:Â launchd [150] Responsible: Adobe Illustrator [565]User ID:Â Â Â Â 501Â Date/Time:Â Â 2014-01-20 20:03:01.639 +0100OS Version:Â Mac OS X 10.9.1 (13B42)Report Version:Â 11 Â [code]....
I just got an HP pavilion d7 computer running Vista Home Premium (64) on a 2gb processor with 4gb RAM. I successfully installed CS3, entered the license code and activated the software, but when I try to run Photoshop CS3, I get the infamous Adobe Photoshop CS3 has stopped working properly error at the screen where it says it is building TWAIN menu items. I've tried the licensing update from Adobe with no success. I've tried running it as administrator, using the compatibility mode...no success. I'm at my wits end. Incidentally, I tried installing the PSE7 trial (because I was going to buy it next week) and that gives me the same error whenever I try to access the Editor.
Each time I start CS4 I get an error message "Could not load the Adjusted Refresh module because it does not work with this version of Photoshop". There is no option not to show the message in future, and I cannot find where to disable the module.
I did a complete uninstall of GIMP 2.6. Then a complete install of GIMP 2.8. No errors during installation. When I run GIMP, Windows draws a window frame with the title "GIMP Startup" but the inside of the window remains unpainted (whatever was behind it remains visible). This window frame exists for maybe one second and then closes. I have waited a long time but nothing continues. Task Manager confirms that no application is running. I uninstalled, downloaded again, reinstalled (even just a "compact" installation), but same thing.
System Info: Windows XP Home SP3, up to date 2 GB RAM Paging file initial 3058 MB, max 6116 MB
Goes straight to a black box that says not responding then gets to looking for data files and then windows takes over and searches for a solution before shutting the whole works down. Takes about 30 secs.
I just installed this because 2.6 was doing the same thing.
I am looking for a way to correctly make or modify a Windows 7 Start Orb (ex: [URL]......
When I do it simply, appears a black square when I click on the Start button. All instructions on this topic are made for Photoshop, or Gimp, but not for Paint.Net
Here is one of my own, which does not work [URL].....
I'm trying to record from the pinacle 700-usb device in Corel VideoStudio, however it gives me an error saying: "Kan vastleggrafiek niet starten" (it's dutch). Meaning something like "Cannot start the recordinggraph" (or something like that). The error is shown below.
I can record and playback from my webcam. That works perfectly, so it is installed correctly i suppose?what causes this and how can i make VideoStudio record from my pinacle device?
Just installed Adobe Master CS6 on new installation of OSX Mountain Lion. Installation is ok but when i start Photoshop the color profile of monitor change (become more "cold").
Lightroom 4.3 won't start up on my Windows 8, 32 bit machine. Install went fine but when I click on the Lr icon the program appears to start up and I get the Lr in the task bar at the bottom and when I hover over the icon I get a thumbnail of the start screen. When I hover over the thumbnail of the start screen it appears on my desktop but when I move the mouse off the thumbnail the start screen disappears from the desktop so there is no way to get past this point.
When I try to connect my Nikon D610 with a USB cable to import RAW files (i.e. .NEF), I need to open manually LR and click on the Import button to start importing even if Automatic Import is activated.Â
Every time I start up photoshop I get the following dialog box showing up: Â And the following comes up with any filter i try to use: Â I have tried re-installing the softwear, unfortunately that didn't fix the issue.
I am having a problem with a new install of photoshop elements 10. It turns out this I now have this problem with elements 9 as well. I tried elements 9 in september and it worked great. I revieved elements 10 as a gift and tried to install it and got the following error. I went back and tried to re-run the trial of elements 9 and I am now getting the same error on 9.  Here is the error I get. After launching the editor, either from the welcome screen or directly from
C:Program Files (x86)AdobePhotoshop Elements 10PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe
I get the following pop up. As you can see the editor does start, but shortly after it starts I get the popup.
I am running on Windows 7 (Pro) 64bit. My video cards are an AMD Radeon HD 6770 and an integrated ATI Radeon HD 4200 with a driver version of 8.920.0, dated 11/9/2011  Here are the error messages from the event viewer  Launch of elements 10 editor: Faulting application name: PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe, version: 10.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x4e70c16d [code].....
As I mentioned above, the trial of elements 9 had been working fine. I have made several updates to my system. I can't be 100% certain of the timeline, but I think most were done during the time that I was testing elements 9 and did not break elements 9. i am fairly sure there were a number of updated that were made after my last clean run of elements 9 and before I installed elements 10, namely windows 7 sp1, and various updates, but I was able to install the trial version on a laptop with the same os and same updates.
This is a strange thing : I have PSP X5 under my computer for about one year, and this morning it does not start when I click on PSP icon. When I look at the process monitoring, the exe appears and disappears 3 seconds later. I tried the restore database, nothing changed. I tried to rename the database file, no more success.
I get file-tiff-save.exe & file-tiff-load.exe Application Error when opening Gimp 2.8.2 in windows 7 64-bit.The error: The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b).
I purchased LR 5 last week but the start button in the presentation mudule doesn't work properly. I get a black screen and nothing happens. I have to press the esc button several times to return to LR.
I am getting an error about 10 times each time I open Photoshop. It says "The application has failed to start because MSVCRT10.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem".
This does nothing besides lag up Photoshop for me. I have most of my ram towards Photoshop and it still lags like crazy. I was wondering if there WAS any way to fix it besides re-installing.
