View 3 RepliesI can't seem to get my profile start and end station labels to appear even after I checked "Label start station" and "label end station" in the profile view properties.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have to treat a few images for a newspaper, and I have to apply an specified Color Profile for them.
what's the difference between the commands "Assign Color Profile", "Convert to Color Profile" or doing "Mode>CMYK, and then Assign Profile",
I've been trying to reproduce this color blind conditionfor a long time now and I still didn't figure out how I can do this. I've searched for cluts but didn't find any, only this, which has some previews of them, but no any files I can load into Photoshop's Color Lookup adjustment. I've looked into Pixel Bender plugin, but I'm using CC so that doesn't work either... I've also tried it with the Index Color mode, but that really messes up my image as it has a really low color range (256). I've even tried reproducing the same effect with adjustments, channels, etc, but didn't figure it out.
Â
Since there's a way to perfectly color proof images with this condition, I'm guessing this has to be some kind of ICC profile or something similar. Is there a way I can use it as a color profile?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got an HP pavilion d7 computer running Vista Home Premium (64) on a 2gb processor with 4gb RAM. I successfully installed CS3, entered the license code and activated the software, but when I try to run Photoshop CS3, I get the infamous Adobe Photoshop CS3 has stopped working properly error at the screen where it says it is building TWAIN menu items. I've tried the licensing update from Adobe with no success. I've tried running it as administrator, using the compatibility mode...no success. I'm at my wits end. Incidentally, I tried installing the PSE7 trial (because I was going to buy it next week) and that gives me the same error whenever I try to access the Editor.

ACAD 2009 on XP
Third party software installed which now causes AutoCAD 2009 to crash when a single key is pressed. We have uninstalled the software, however the editor is still looking for the
Non-existent ARX. This is the problem. What file or registry key declares the list as shown in APPLOAD? I have verified 2009 works in the administrator profile.
We also did a repair and then a reinstall of 2009 to no avail. What steps are needed for AutoCAD to build a profile when a previous profile existed?
When I try to start the CC in 64 bit mode I get the error 0x0000005. (in 32 bit there is no problem)

I'm using Windows 7, 64 bit and have been using other Photoshop versions without any problem. My current version of Photoshop is CS6. I've updated the Nvidia driver and that didn't work.
Every time I start up photoshop I get the following dialog box showing up:

I have tried re-installing the softwear, unfortunately that didn't fix the issue.
I am having a problem with a new install of photoshop elements 10. It turns out this I now have this problem with elements 9 as well. I tried elements 9 in september and it worked great. I revieved elements 10 as a gift and tried to install it and got the following error. I went back and tried to re-run the trial of elements 9 and I am now getting the same error on 9.
Â
Here is the error I get. After launching the editor, either from the welcome screen or directly from
C:Program Files (x86)AdobePhotoshop Elements 10PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe
I get the following pop up. As you can see the editor does start, but shortly after it starts I get the popup.
I am running on Windows 7 (Pro) 64bit. My video cards are an AMD Radeon HD 6770 and an integrated ATI Radeon HD 4200 with a driver version of 8.920.0, dated 11/9/2011

As I mentioned above, the trial of elements 9 had been working fine. I have made several updates to my system. I can't be 100% certain of the timeline, but I think most were done during the time that I was testing elements 9 and did not break elements 9. i am fairly sure there were a number of updated that were made after my last clean run of elements 9 and before I installed elements 10, namely windows 7 sp1, and various updates, but I was able to install the trial version on a laptop with the same os and same updates.
This is using Civil 3D 2012 Service Pack 2.1
When a Station Equation is added to an alignment it causes all of the profile views to get messed up. In addition once the EG profile changes the entire FG profile may also need to be changed. See this video I uploaded to Youtube that fully explains and shows the problem: [URL] ........
So, any way to some how lock the profile views start and end stations? Or to some how lock the PVI locations on a a proposed profile to certain stations?
I am getting an error about 10 times each time I open Photoshop. It says "The application has failed to start because MSVCRT10.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem".
This does nothing besides lag up Photoshop for me. I have most of my ram towards Photoshop and it still lags like crazy. I was wondering if there WAS any way to fix it besides re-installing.
I just received and loaded my new copy of CS. I had been using Elements at home and PS 6.0 in class. My OS is Windows XP.
I tried to use the Image>Resize>Image Size function, I changed the resolution from 150 to 72 but 149.999 appeared in the box. I also tried to change the Pixel dimensions to no avail.
I brought Elements up which had always worked before and experienced the same thing.
The only odd thing I've noticed when I bring up PhotoShop or PhotoShop Elements is a message "Unable to locate component" then in the box it reads "Application has failed to start because NUVTwain.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this". This has been displayed for some time now while I was using Elements, I just clicked on it four times and the program loaded. Now it appears in either PhotoShop version. I tried reinstalling Elements some time ago and it didn't solve the problem. I reinstalled CS and it also still has the same message.
When I open the program the start up loading image come up then an error box saying that an unspecified error has occur and I should contact customer support. What devices are involved and their mode of connection?: No devices really just trying to open the program on my laptop The Version of program is being used: x4 list all patches/updates that have been installed relating to that version of the program.: I just installed the 2nd patch after this started happening hoping it would fix it, I tried to install the first one but it didn't work. Details of the source files.: Not sure what this means? I don't really think it applies since its before I can even open projects
I use a windows 7 notebook, 4 gig of ram. This problem just popped up tonight, I am still able to open x3 on my computer though. When I did some lookin at the event logs, its showing that the problem file is the psiclient?

I have the VS X3 version and am trying to capture a VHS tape to VS. I'm using the ION "Video 2 PC" capture card and I have hooked up the 3 RCA cables (red, white and yellow) to the capture card and then via a USB port attached the capture card to the computer. The USB device is recognized in Source by VS X3 and is called "USB 2861". The Format automatically is automatically set to "DVD". The capture video icon is blinking and when I click it to capture, I get the error message "cannot start the capture graph". Revit Architecture 2013 has been installed on my computer since it's release in April and I have installed both updates. Until now it has worked fine and I have had no startup issues.

AutoCAD Architecture 2013 also will not start- same error message.

Oddly, Revit Architecture 2012 will start.

I have tried to uninstall Revit Arch 2013 using windows control panel, but it does not respond.

I have run Microsoft Security Essentials, Microsoft Malacious Software Removal Tool, Malwarebytes, and Super AntiSpyware. So far, the computer looks okay. The only thing questionable was the installation, and immediate uninstall of the iLivid download manager.
Just last week I was working just fine. When trying to access the product today, as usual the A5 sized "Loading" starts but when the product is to appear it just shuts off. It is not indicating what the error is through a dialog box, hence, I am not sure what the problem may be.
I have check various discussion groups which say it may arise from FLEX related files or CascadeInfo.cas but nothing changed. I have also done an entire un installation of the product and Installed it from scratch. The problem persists.

I have a user with AutoCAD 2013 installed on his work laptop. It is a Dell with Windows 7 64-bit. We don't have local IT any more and he was having problems with the computer, which is only 6 months old, so he had to send it from Michigan to Massachusettes, where our Global IT resides.
They "Imaged" the hard drive, installed a new hard drive and put the "Image" on the new hard drive. and sent it back without making sure things worked.
Now when he starts AutoCAD 2013 (vanillia), the Splash screen comes up and then he gets a Fatal Error. I have attached a capture of the error.
When he first got it back there were no drivers installed for his nVidia Quadro 1000M card, so he could not use his 2nd monitor. He found the driver and installed it and now he can use the 2nd monitor, but still had the problem with AutoCAD.
I have a preview cache error on start up. This persists even on re-start and LR will not progress beyond this point. I have tried a repair and a re-install but no joy. I also did a clean of the PC after to clear any registry errors too. Still the same happening. Photoshop works fine.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI cannot get PaintShop Photo Pro X3 NL to start up anymore. Windows Task Manager shows PSP to have started up - as a service only. In the meanwhile, I do get this error message:

["Cannot find ...:/Users/Kanis/AppData/Roaming//Corel/Messages/540229901_907002/EN/MessageCache...

This message appears from the very instant that I installed Corel WordPerfect X5 on my system, i.e. February 8, 2011. Then I uninstalled WP X5 completely. However, the above message keeps appearing, whenever I try to start Corel PaintShop Photo Project Creator or PSP X3.
In order to keep on going, I installed PSP X3 on a virtual machine on this PC (O/S: Windows XP 32 bits SP3 under VMware Workstation 7.1.4 ( under host W7 Ultimate 64 NL)). It works fine from the beginning, but this is not meant to be. Therefore, on June 6, I tried a fresh reinstall on PSP X3 on the main operating system (W7 Ultimate 64 NL). The problem persisted, as before. I then uninstalled ALL Corel applications from that system, went through the entire register and deleted all traces of Corel, PSP X3 and WP X5 applications. Expelled also all traces of PSI-Service related items (also from the register). Then I made a fresh reinstall of PSP X3, and it worked. Eureka ? Until this very morning. Same old story started all over again. So obviously I have not found the root of the problem. It must have been masked for some time. What is the source of the error message? And how come it causes PSP X3 to start as a service only, and not continue. Note: note even the start-up screen of PSP X3 does show up.
I have Autodesk Design Academy 2013 installed on a lab of computers in my domain. Students have been successfully using Inventor 2013 so far this year, and now they are trying to use AutoCAD 2013 and Mechanical 2013 but are encountering an error. When trying to start either of these programs, an MSI installer starts (I suppose for user-specific files) and then the message box below pops up:
After closing out the error boxes, the programs simply do not start. The domain users have their personal folders redirected from a network share, which is listed in the error box. Why these MSIs can't access the network location, I don't know, because the user logged in has full permissions on their own folder, and they can indeed access their folder from these computers. When I log in to the computer with a local administrative account, the programs work without error. how can I get around this so my users can actually use the software? Is there a registry key I can change to point to the local drive instead of their personal folders?Â
