I am trying to do a drawing but there's a function I forget. I want to start a line from a section of another line. How to do something to skip a distance from a start point of a line to the position you want.
View 5 RepliesI was drawing a lot of lines with the pointer that stuck at the end of the line and after that it stuck at the beginning of the other line (i hope you understand what i mean). I don't know what i pressed but now this function is not active and is very difficult to draw the lines.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there a way of reversing the start and end points of a line? I have a lot of mirrored lines on my model, and so the direction (start/end) is also mirrored. This poses a problem when i export the model to another program witch has a coordinate system based on the direction of the entity (in this case a line). So i come back to the question, is it possible to change(reverse) the start/end position to already drawn (mirrored) lines? Btw i am using acad2011

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am having a problem with starts and ends of lines. I have draw two lines, end of first is start of second. The problem is because, (cdr (assoc 11 (entget line1))) and (cdr (assoc 10 (entget line2))), somehow, are not the same,
(= (cdr (assoc 11 (entget line1))) (cdr (assoc 10 (entget line2))))
is returning nil, what is so confusing to me is that:
(=(nth 0(cdr (assoc 11 (entget line1)))) (nth 0(cdr (assoc 10 (entget line2)))))
is returning true, the same is for y and z coordinates.
I need to check x y and z coordinates, for this type of problem...
I want to start measure command from middle of line and insert blocks on specific distance and leave rest on ends of line or arc.

This isn't a problem that requires an imeediate fix, but would be nice if there were such an option.

I need to somehow look at my alignment section by section and try to establish a feature line that will represent my proposed top of slope. There are a ton of different constraints that I will not go into. My ultimate need is the ability to establish a feature line or 3d pline from the section view. I know that this is somehow possible via corridors. Im working with just an aligment and cross sections at every 25 feet. Is this possible?

I have a feature line, and a labels table created for it. The table has the following columns: Line or Curve #, Station, Segment Start X, Segment Start Y, Segment Start X, Bearing/Delta, Length, Radius, Grade Ahead.
what code I need for the table to display the station of the feature line at the start of the segment?
I also have an alignment with the same stationing over top of the feature line, but Im not sure how to code a reference text into the table either. I can create an end segment reference text for the plan view labels but even if I copy that code into the labels table it doesn't work.
One of my draftsman is trying to put an identification Tag on one of our assembly.We made a symbol with our tag, and we put it on whatever where trying to identify directly on the presentation.
Our problem is that where not able to remove whatever is behind that symbol so that we can make that Tag readable.Is it possible to make only part of a line invisible in our presentation?

I unchecked "show entire line" and it still leaves a massive line away from the arrow.

Why is the scale of my Detail Boundary line different than my Section Line scale? I have set the global line scale so that hidden and section lines look OK, but the detail boundary line spaces are so close that it prints as a continuous line. I am using the same line weight and line type for both detail and section lines.
The linetype set in the active standard for section line is totally ignored when creating a section view. We have our line type set to 'Long Dash Dot' as per the BS8888 standard but it changes it to a 'Long Dash Short Dash' line. We use the same linetype on the centerline layer with no problem. Why does this not work??

I have checked the styles, tried to edit the style but cannot make the terminator and label visible.

How do you start a new line in a paragraph block? When I hit the enter key, it just returns to the front of the same line, overwriting the same line over and over again.
1. Clicked Text tool.
2. Dragged out a paragraph block.
3. Started typing and noticed that when it reached the end of the paragraph block, it just wrapped to the beginning.
C3D 2012 SP2.1 on Win7-64
I have a marker on a cross section that was projected from a short feature line that I created from a 3DPolyline. If I move the cross section (they never come in correctly, right?), the feature line moves too. If I use a 3Dpoly, this doesn't happen. Only went to the feature line because for some reason, when I went to Project Multiple, the 3Dpolys weren't picked up.
Now I wondering if I've moved feature lines on other projects where I have moved the sections. Could be a real problem. Most of those, though, had a mix of feature lines and 3Dpolys, so they would only be partially messed up! Hopefully, I moved the sections before doing the projection.
While I was out, my partner somehow now has two existing ground lines in my cross-sections. ####exist and ####exist (1). They are offset by about .5 feet left to right. Where do I remove the surtface ###exst (1) from the cross sections. I am looking now.

The thing is that Projection tool, labels everything that's a Block, Point, 3d poly ...etc to the sections group.
And it puts all labels in the same layer.

When I draw a line, is there a way to say, "Start at point (864,0), go exactly 270° down (actually, I can hold down the shift key for that, but I digress...) and end at the other side of the canvas at point (864, 3456)?
A script would probably work well, but I've never dipped into that.
The objective is to section a part, selecting a center of the hole (side view, not top view) to attach the section line.
In the hole's top view we can select the center hole to attach the section view, but in the side view, i can´t find any attach point, even if i have a center line.
I know we can edit the section line later and create some construction lines to center the section line with the hole, but i wonder, there's a better process, more automatic, to achieve this?
just new to Corel and have started with CorelX5. I have put a cut line around a design however in some parts of the design where two colours join up to each other without any gaps Corel has continued the cut line between the colours. How do I erase sections of the cut line where there is not need for it to be.
