AutoCAD 2013 :: Draw A Line From End Of Line To Start
Jul 31, 2013I was drawing a lot of lines with the pointer that stuck at the end of the line and after that it stuck at the beginning of the other line (i hope you understand what i mean). I don't know what i pressed but now this function is not active and is very difficult to draw the lines.

AutoCad 3D :: How To Measure One Line To Any Parallel Line
Jun 22, 2012I am new to AutoCAD and have been sent a 3D architectural model. I need to find the dimensions of some beams. The measure tool seems only to measure from point to point, and I need to measure from one side (or edge) of the beam to the other. The beams are not along the axes and the ends are not at right angles so there are no points that correspond to the height and width.
In Sketchup, I can easily measure from one line to any parallel line. How can I do this in AutoCAD?

Unable to start application (0xc000007b).
I already tried several fixes like:
1. reinstall all redist(x64 & x86).
2. reinstall .Net 4.0
3. Use CCleaner for Registry error.
4. chckdsk for error and fix.still error so I've gone through this.
5. I uninstall Autocad 2014 completely, uninstall it manually one by one,deleted left over folder of autodesk or similar software to it, deleted its registry keys.just like the instruction on how to remove autocad completely in autodesk, I just followed it all. [after Reboot]
6 I Re-install it and still the problem persist.
AutoCad :: Measure Length Of Continuous Line?
Oct 12, 2006Is there a tool where you just click on any line and it tells you how long the line is from end to end?
Basically I am drawing a curvy line that twists and turns here and there, but the line has to be less then so long. So I have to approximate the length by doing strait measurements and multiplying, it's really a pain.
I'd much rather just click the line, and it tell me how long it is from end to end, across turns and rounded edges and corners.

Sep 21, 2012I have a problem with Dynamic Input suddenly displaying dimensions in the middle of a line rather than on screen as I work. What I mean is that if I draw a line the length of the line is displayed at the center of the line. When I zoom in to one end of this line the display of the length of the line is no longer displayed on screen but remains at the center of the line. I use AutoCAD 2008.

When you measure something with the distance command, according to the type of file, the last zoom you did, your graphic card and probably the speed of the wind, the little red line won't show.
Normally when you measure something, a thin red line is shown were the distance is calculated. But in my laptop, and both pc's of my client, Inventor shows this line only in parts, not in assemblies. I've got a Quadro 2000M, my client got Quadro FX 1700 and 1800, all with the recommended drivers.
So I tried with 3 other laptops. On one of them (with a K2000M) if you do a measure right after the file open, it give you the line, if you zoom with the measure command open, the line disappear and won't show again until you close and open the file again. But if you zoom without the command active, the line is shown normally. But it's not working like that on all machines.

Nov 28, 2012IN Autocad 2013, I'm trying to measure an annotative dimension. When I do it, it doesn't show the units along with the measurement.
For instance, it just shows up 24 when in fact I want it to say 24". Or if it was metric I would want the "m" to show up after the 24. How do I get the unit to appear?

Nov 3, 2012I haven't been able to use the 3D orbiting shortcut since yesterday. I'm using a wireless Microsoft Mouse and keyboard instead of the inbuilt mouse & keyboard on my laptop (which don't seem to be executing the command either).
Up until yesterday I never had any problems orbiting the view.

I've tried doing a repair; uninstalling and re-installing. Nothing works.
The program was working fine for months and it just started doing this. No new hardware or software has been installed. Even did a system restore to a time when I know it was working, in case there was some Windows or driver update.

Sep 1, 2012Is there a way of reversing the start and end points of a line? I have a lot of mirrored lines on my model, and so the direction (start/end) is also mirrored. This poses a problem when i export the model to another program witch has a coordinate system based on the direction of the entity (in this case a line). is returning nil, what is so confusing to me is that:
(=(nth 0(cdr (assoc 11 (entget line1)))) (nth 0(cdr (assoc 10 (entget line2)))))
is returning true, the same is for y and z coordinates.
I need to check x y and z coordinates, for this type of problem...

Oct 29, 2013I know that I can find which points are which by checking the properties, but I am wondering if there is a way to (for example) edit the grips so that they indicate which end is which, like how they are used in dynamic blocks to show how an object can stretch. This isn't a problem that requires an imeediate fix, but would be nice if there were such an option.

May 13, 2013Creating sample lines at a specific increment within a range starting from the start of the range is impossible unless the start of the range is divisible by the increment. This is a defect that needs fixing.
Meanwhile you'll find me typing in the 93 locations for my sample lines. I believe this is what we made computers for.
