In develop mode in LR 4.4 I get a small line through the middle of the image preview box in the navigation panel.
Why and how I might get rid of it? I used to get it in 4.3 and 4.1 too.
Usually when I Import I select what I want to Import from the left panel of the Library interface. I open Folders, then my C drive (whatever) and go from there. My entire file structure is displayed and I can navigate anywhere I want.
Tonight all that is displayed under Folders - C Drive is a listing of already imported folders. It's a list compiled from within Lightroom, not my computer's file directory.
I am not in Catalog and there is no slider to the left of the list - plus the list is not even a portion of my file list, it is something altogether else.
I was able to do a clumsy import by using File Import, which brought up an interface I have never seen before, much less used. I was able to "select a source" there and browse my files. But it was unfamiliar and I need to get my navigation window back to showing what's on my C drive when I click Folders - C Drive.
The selected image appears on the main/center panel but not in the preview screen. Printing results in a white sheet of paper with no image at all. The image has been updated to LR 4 - but made no difference.

How do I remove a small section from the middle of a clip? The help section tells how to shorten a clip or split it in two but not what i want to do.
View 3 Replies View RelatedAs of recently, all popup windows in Photoshop (i.e. colour picker, layer styles etc) appear in the middle of my monitor and cover the canvas i'm working on.
In the past, I would move this window over to the side and next time i open it, it would open in the last position.
This is no longer the case. Everytime it opens right in the center of the screen covering my artwork.
The same goes for layer styles. e.g. Stroke.
First the Layer Styles popup will cover my work.. i'll move it to one side
Then when I want to colour the stroke, the colour picker appears in the middle so I have to move this too.
I probably waste about an hour of my day just moving these popups out of the way.
The only thing I can think of is the fact that i've recently updated my graphics card driver (ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series) In Catalyst Control Centre, I hav ticked the option to keep dialogue windows in the correct place but this doesn't apply to the in-application popups.
I am new to creating ribbons.Is there any way to put two vertical ribbon button just in the middle of the panel? Is it possible to align Ribbon Buttons? Or changing properties of ribbon buttons like font size?

How can I draw the bottom line, with an angle of 132 relative to the middle line?
In Lightroom 3.6 when I click on a thumbnail to enlarge it to "fit" the page it sometimes comes in very small (432x288) even though the pixels are set to 1440 in catalog settings, and I cannot seem to enlarge the image.

My resolution is set at 3000ppi and I am exporting RAW files to an uncompressed TIFF file with my color space being ProPhoto RGB.

An example would be a taking a crop of one person in a couple,from a larger image. The crop is outside common aspect ratios. Can lightroom fit the image to an aspect ratio of my liking whilst maintaining everything I have cropped?
View 10 Replies View RelatedAfter I successfully imported some videos into VideoStudio, I tried to preview them. Originally, the video preview was taking a quarter of the screen. It is still the case, but when I start playback, now the video size becomes half of this (half ot the quarter screen preview). I am searching since half an hour without any success for a solution. Google always return me PDF documents describing main features of Corel VideoStudio as well as reviews of the product. I thought this could be related to the fact project properties are set to output video at 480p, but I cannot set the project properties to HD. The HD option is just not there. Seems VideoStudio X6 Pro can only work for DVD projects and upconvert to HD after the fact. I found some page showing how to configure project as HD, but the layout of the options does not correspond to VideoStudio X6. Could this be because X5 had HD and X6 has not? Would be quite surprising. Seems I really have to ask support from Corel, seems an unknown undocumented issue, but I am now outside the 90-day warranty period and don't want to pay to be told to reformat my computer. So I will try other software, be pissed off during weekends and weekends and probably end up trying with another computer or asking a friend with a Mac to do the editing for me with Final Cut (and literally wait MONTHS to get a single 30-minute video).

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have the 2013 civil 3D version. I am doing a site plan for school, and would like to print it out so that everything shows up clearly.
I would like to print it on a 24x36 sheet, so I have set up my page to that size. When I maximize my viewport to the page borders so that the viewport is at its largest and scale the viewport so that the entire site plan fits in the viewport, everything shows up so small in the print preview screen. The annotations show up as black bars and I can only read them if I zoom in. I have limited access to printing so I want to make sure I get it right! Will I be able to read the annotations and hatching once it has printed? Even though I can't read them in the print preview or layout without zooming in?
I am using annotation scaling, so maybe my text height is wrong? Maybe I need a larger sheet than 24x36? My viewport and annotation scales are set to 1"=20' and box drawn around my site would be about 100' x 300'.
I noted after importing my images from my disk f(to Lr5) that some floral images were missing.Luckily they were on my backup disk so i moved these floral images from my backup disk to the proper floral folder in my int. disk f. Now how do i import these new images that are located in their particular floral folder which are indeed there.Also how do you set up these new files to do a preview setup. did try to import these new images,but lightroom would not let me do it because it grayed out the images telling me that we noted some duplicate images here. Yes, i did see a few dups of these images in the floral file. If i deleted these dups under its proper folder in disk f shouldn't lr5 let me continue the import?

I'm guessing that I'm seeing a JPEG preview then I'm getting what the RAW image looks like? If that is the case, is there anyway to get that preview color back without exporting as a JPEG?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI tweaked an image in Develop and printed some 5x7s until I got it right and then went to 13x19 (first time ever using that size with my R3000). The print preview and the print were way too red. I went back to a 5x7 and it was way red as well in print preview, so I didn't print. I replaced a light magenta cart that I think ran out during the 13x19 print, and then some others that were low, and did a nozzle check and that was okay. I have spent hours looking around all of the settings (sRGB) and can find nothing that would explain what changed between my last good 5x7 print and the red 13x19. I went back to earlier versions and had the same problem. Monitor is due for recalibration, but that probably has nothing to do with it since it changed so suddenly.

What I mean is that if I draw a line the length of the line is displayed at the center of the line. When I zoom in to one end of this line the display of the length of the line is no longer displayed on screen but remains at the center of the line. I use AutoCAD 2008.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've just recently caught up to 2.8 (From 2.4 something or other believe it or not ) and amongst a couple of things I have to say I don't like is the fact that previously when setting a path, if I wanted it to be either perfectly horizontal or vertical I could see by the steps in the path preview line whether it was or not.
With the new version, initially at least, that's no longer the case. As I tend to work with straight lines a lot of the time it's proving to be a bit of a pain. Is there any way to set the path preview line to show the steps again to indicate a straight line.
illustrator is not letting use the properties panel, it is in some sort of preview mode.

When importing images to the catalog, both the preview and import image is highly contrasted and saturated.When I use edit in the photo opens as the original image without updates. My import preswet options show none.I am using Windows7 32 bit.
