just new to Corel and have started with CorelX5. I have put a cut line around a design however in some parts of the design where two colours join up to each other without any gaps Corel has continued the cut line between the colours. How do I erase sections of the cut line where there is not need for it to be.

I have an image that I need to make a series of erasures...take away straight line segments of the image. I keep finding how to "erase a straight line" on the internet but they are only discussing how to erase or clear a straight line just drawn...not what I am after. If there is a way (I was hoping I could use the eraser tool and press the shift key or something)

The task being, trying to erase part of a simple shape dragged onto the page from the tool bar. When I use the eraser, it deletes what i am trying to delete, but leaves a trail of the erasers path. This is probably very basic stuff, Â but I am at my whits end to work this simple problem out.

I need to somehow look at my alignment section by section and try to establish a feature line that will represent my proposed top of slope. There are a ton of different constraints that I will not go into. My ultimate need is the ability to establish a feature line or 3d pline from the section view. One of my draftsman is trying to put an identification Tag on one of our assembly.We made a symbol with our tag, and we put it on whatever where trying to identify directly on the presentation.
Our problem is that where not able to remove whatever is behind that symbol so that we can make that Tag readable.Is it possible to make only part of a line invisible in our presentation?

Why is the scale of my Detail Boundary line different than my Section Line scale? I have set the global line scale so that hidden and section lines look OK, but the detail boundary line spaces are so close that it prints as a continuous line. I am using the same line weight and line type for both detail and section lines.
The linetype set in the active standard for section line is totally ignored when creating a section view. We have our line type set to 'Long Dash Dot' as per the BS8888 standard but it changes it to a 'Long Dash Short Dash' line. We use the same linetype on the centerline layer with no problem. Why does this not work??

I have checked the styles, tried to edit the style but cannot make the terminator and label visible.

I have a marker on a cross section that was projected from a short feature line that I created from a 3DPolyline. If I move the cross section (they never come in correctly, right?), the feature line moves too. If I use a 3Dpoly, this doesn't happen. Only went to the feature line because for some reason, when I went to Project Multiple, the 3Dpolys weren't picked up.
Now I wondering if I've moved feature lines on other projects where I have moved the sections. Could be a real problem. Most of those, though, had a mix of feature lines and 3Dpolys, so they would only be partially messed up! Hopefully, I moved the sections before doing the projection.
While I was out, my partner somehow now has two existing ground lines in my cross-sections. ####exist and ####exist (1). They are offset by about .5 feet left to right. Where do I remove the surtface ###exst (1) from the cross sections. I am looking now.

The thing is that Projection tool, labels everything that's a Block, Point, 3d poly ...etc to the sections group.
And it puts all labels in the same layer.

how to mirror about a line, but the line was outside the object.
I now have a need to mirror about a line but the line is partially inside the object (so after mirroring the object would be overlapped). When I select both objects and try to create the mirror, the "axis" of the reflection is simply the edge of the object, not the line.
When the line was outside, that worked simply because when you selected both objects the line brought the outside of both selected objects to that point so it simply mirrored / reflected at that point (the line). So the line was not truly acting as a point of reflection. Hope that made sense.
I think I'm about to buy Cadtools from Macromonster but I would like to know if Draw has a way of acheiving this. Hey I may find out Cadtools can't reflect when the line is inside the object.
I would like to add the effect of hand stitched thread around some of my designs. The line tool can change a line to dashes but this is a bit too uniform for hand stitching. I have seen a tutorial on doing this in Photoshop where a brush is made with a few small different length strokes. this is then spaced out and made to follow a path. how to create a hand stitch effect using X5 that looks like natural hand stitching...
