I can't start a new paragraph when I hit enter. It just closes the text layer and I have to double click the layer to open it back up. Even when I do that, I can't create a new line break. The same thing happens in InDesign.
I'm using CS3 and Vista.
How do you start a new line in a paragraph block? When I hit the enter key, it just returns to the front of the same line, overwriting the same line over and over again.
1. Clicked Text tool.
2. Dragged out a paragraph block.
3. Started typing and noticed that when it reached the end of the paragraph block, it just wrapped to the beginning.
Can the "Basic Paragraph" style in Paragraph Styles be modified? How is this done?

I can bring up the Paragraph Styles Options diaglog by double clicking "Basic Paragraph" in the Paragraph Styles panel. I can also modify it, for example, by changing the font family. But when I click OK to save it, it creates a new style and leaves "Basic Paragraph" unchanged.

I know that the Basic Paragraph style can be modified in InDesign, but I don't see how to do it in Photoshop.
I can't seem to get my profile start and end station labels to appear even after I checked "Label start station" and "label end station" in the profile view properties.

I already tried several fixes like:
1. reinstall all redist(x64 & x86).
2. reinstall .Net 4.0
3. Use CCleaner for Registry error.
4. chckdsk for error and fix.still error so I've gone through this.
5. I uninstall Autocad 2014 completely, uninstall it manually one by one,deleted left over folder of autodesk or similar software to it, deleted its registry keys.just like the instruction on how to remove autocad completely in autodesk, I just followed it all. [after Reboot]
6 I Re-install it and still the problem persist.

I've tried to load the DLL from the acad.lsp but the DLL is loaded before AUTOCAD load the ribbon, then the dll is well loaded but my new ribbon is not displayed !.

How can I paste without losing the paragraph formatting?
I am trying to copy and paste a paragraph and only get a single line and not the paragraph here are the steps I take:

I get all the words but bunched in one line. I have tried selecting the text layer and selecting Convert to Paragraph and it does nothing. I am sure there is a single option or button I am missing. I can only type titles not a wrapping paragraph in the box
I have a large book similar to the "Yellow Pages" and all of the business names are in the same Paragraph style. I need to index alphabetically. I done it for the first time last year and accomplished it through Table of Contents(TOC) I saved it in my How to and when I tried to do it again this year it's problematic, not only putting my business in alpha but also putting my page numbers in alpha (they don't match up).

The problem I have is when I hit "enter" or "shift+enter" to create a new line of text it doesn't work. Instead it closes the text box.
I've been searching everywhere for a way to create a paragraph follow a path with a justified last left alignment. Is this possible? Basically the technique I'm trying to achieve is to have a text paragraph say in the shape of a silhouette of a tree. For simplicity sake, look at the image below and you'll get the idea.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am having trouble w/ entering text that will auto wrap. I am using PS 6. I drag the text box (which should put me in paragraph mode) and when I type, the words 'disappear' off the edge of the text box instead of auto wrap.
If I hit enter, the next line jumps to the bottom of page/box.
I don't want to have to type each line as a separate text box, but so far that is the only way to get it to work.
Is it possible to rearrange character or paragraph styles in Photoshop CS6? I've tried everything I could think of (Control, Command, Shift click etc.) to no avail. Rather frustrated as it's annoying having a messy styles palette but clean layers.

i'm trying to align text perfectly into a rectangle (vertically). I know about the text box, but it either ads hyphens or there is a mialigned spacing on the right side.Â

I want it to be perfectly aligned on the left and right. I've attached an example from a site i found online, but its somewhat a poor execution, the word spacing varies through out the paragraph.

I know that there is another issue here but I wanted to write down an other. Because it seems to me Adobe DO NOT answer to these issues. im working on a brochure. im using paragraphy type, cs4. i drag and draw my text bounding box, and type away, then the text goes beyond the bounding box because i have too much type and there is the + in the lower right hand corner of the paragraph box. how do i get the overflow type to automatically move to another column or paragraphy text box? is there a way to link two together or have the one continue to another column or area?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a document (booklet fold set-up) consisting of linked paragraph text and some objects (jpegs) spreaded through-out the booklet.
After selecting All Text, I have set the paragraph spacing at the Paragraph Formating Docker > Spacing > Paragraph & Line > After Paragraph to 70%. That very nicely decreased the whole document's space between paragraphs on all pages to the size I wanted. Problem is that the moment I move any object into that paragraph text and set it to Wrap Paragraph Text, then the space between the paragraphs simply jumps back to full size, even though it still shows 70% in the paragraph docker. (It happens only on that page, all others are still showing a 70% space between paragraphs.) And there's just no convincing it to go back. It's as if the presence of the object overrides this setting.
When resizing paragraph text, the default is that the shape size changes, but the text properties stay the same, so if it was a 12 pt before, it will be a 12 pt after.
IF you hold ALT while resizing, it will reduce the size of the text and move tabs so that it gives the same appearence as before. This is great. A 12 pt might be reduced to an 8 or 6 pt or less.
BUT if you select the paragraph text with a bitmap OR an Object that completely overlaps it. Holding alt looses the ability to maintain perspective and proper proportions.
I can reproduce on video if you need me to.

I have created a A4 size leaflet, there I put a three column paragraph text layout (font used: Arial; 11pt), now I to reduce the leaflet size, so if I transform the entire design by grouping all object along with the text but text size is not reducing...the font size still 11pt.
