Photoshop :: Getting Error When Printing From Laserjet CP 5225
Feb 27, 2012
When I want to print something out from Photoshop CS5 on my printer I get this error.
Â
PCL XL Error
Subsystem: KERNEL
Error: IllegalOperatorSequence
File name: derived_scr/1x55.ndbg.kernel.c
Line number: 1820
Â
My windows system is Windows xp professional with service pack 3. If I print out from other program I don´t get any errors.
Â
This is a new printer and before I got this I had a HP Color Laserjet CP5225 and there were no problems printing out from Adobe Photoshop CS5.
I have an HP workstation Z220 with OS Windows 7 64 bit. I have installed my printer HP Laserjet Pro CM1415nf using the original CD Drivers and have also installed AutoCAD Architecture 2011 and 2013.Â
When trying to print from both AutoCAD versions to the printer, the application crashes and I need to close the program. When I try to print to a different printer everything is ok. I have checked for updated drivers of the printer and downloaded from HP site by the problem is still there.
print of Gray0 resulting in halftone through HP Laserjet P2035. Two days back it was perfectly printing as solid black. Through MS Paint and MS Word, it is printing black as solid black but not from CorelDraw x6.1. What and where settings got changed, is unknown? Screen shots attached.
Using F8, workspace resetting is tried but results are same i.e. Gray0 as halftone.
I'm trying to print Photoshop file that is 740000 pixels wide on roll paper on an Epson 4800. The file is a large Photoshop file format. It was created in CS4. When I try to make the print command, I get an error message saying Photoshop cannot print files wider than 32000 pixels. (Which seems unlikely to me)
I can not seem to get a simple yes or no answer to whether what I'm trying to do is possible. Upgrade to CS5 suggested, but I get exactly the same error message on CS5. I don't want to drop the resolution to solve this.
I have AutoCAD 2014, When I Try to Plot on HP LaserJet Pro CP1525nw Color Printer. The software crashes. It even doe not show the preview. I am using Windows 7. AUTOCAD functions properly with other printers and I can plot the and HP LaserJet Pro CP1525nw Color Printer too woks well with other softwares.
Ever since updating our print server to use the HP Universal driver, my ability to tweak the non-printable margins has gone away. In the past I was always able to easily tweak margins within my PC3 files using the "Modify Standard Paper Sizes (Printable Area)" tool. Setting all four values to say "0.25" would result in an even 1/4" margin around all four edges of the paper.
Now however, that behavior is just plain different. Using 0.25 all the way around results in plots that are partially shifted off the page. Using different values for top, bottom, left and right results in one or two margins coming out much wider than I want. The frustrating part is there seems to be no rhyme or reason between these values and the plot output. The default values are 0.17 for Top/Bottom and 0.25 for Left/Right but even this results in uneven margins. Only if I make the slightest of tweaks can I get any tiny bit of improvement, which is still not up to previous standards. Anything larger and the output is much worse. I've tried all 0.0, setting top/bot only. left/right only, but none of my combinations of values works.
On top of that there seems to be inconsistency between each printer, even when the printer Model is the same. For example the output on my 9050DN printers range from just "Decent but not like before" to plain "awful". My older 8150 DN models look the best but still do not match previous output. Â
Is there an alternative way to adjust paper margins? Is there a new method to adjusting the "Modify Standard Paper Sizes (Printable Area)" ?
Running under Mac OS 10.6.8, we've run into a problem printing separations to our new hp LaserJet Enterprise 600 m601 printer from Illustrator CS4, CS5 and CS6. Â In the printer dialog box, once under the "Output" section, with the mode set to either "Separations" or "In-RIP Separations", there are no options listed in the "Printer Resolution" drop-down. Â I've tried re-installing the driver, changing the resolution settings in the printer itself, using a generic PS driver, and contacting hp directly (their solution was to contact Adobe). I have yet to contact Adobe itself, but none of my other attempts netted a different result. Â In the document ink listing, the Frequency and Angle listings are still editable, but needs to be done manually for every colour, and the dot shape options are non-existant. Â We had previously been using a hp LaserJet 2300n, but we were running into insufficient memory issues on an increasingly frequently basis. The driver for the 2300n had several different sets of Printer Resolution settings, so once the new printer was set up, I *assumed* that it would have the same kind of options. Â I have discovered that if I change my PPD from the proper driver (HP LaserJet 600 M601 M602 M603) to the old one (Hp LaserJet 2300) I am then able to select the resolution I want from the drop-down list, switch the PPD back to the proper one for the M601, and it seems to work (leaving the 2300 as the PPD file results in a warning and a failed print attempt). Â I also tried printing something from a non-Adobe program using the M601, and there were two options available for printer quality (resolution?) settings.
LR printed okay for about 1/2 of a job (~300 prints) I have and then this showed up. To finish I have had to "edit in CS5" now for a few days, thusly one image at a time and no info printed on the print either. After 2 days of printing good in CS5 it too began the dreaded "communication error".This did not happen until 2 weeks back. I spent days proving that the printer is "communicating" just fine. New cables, other programs etc. The printer driver has been reloaded dozens of times. The machine has been rebooted daily.  I do not think it has any relevance however, EVGA 655 MOBO i7 860 Intel 16 G ram Corsair EVGA GTX275 video Open GL is enabled in Preferences in CS5 Win7Ultimate  Printer is Epson R1800. Epson drivers installed.  LR is 3.6 w/ all updates  LR4 beta is on the machine but not what I try printing from.
After printing a photograph cannot print another. Error message: "There was an error opening your printer. Printing functions will not be available until you have selected a printer and reopened any documents." have to close and reopen the program to print one more.
I have this program on my laptop as well where it does not have this problem. Have tried reinstalling but problem remains on my desktop.
When I print a single 4x5 image on an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper, the entire sheet, less the eighth inch margins, receives an almost invisible layer of color. Where is the dialog box generating the instruction to print this background and how do I disable it? Both Elements 3 and 6 used on the same printer, an Epson 2200, would simply print the image.
Whenever I try to do a print with a Visual Style of "REALISTIC" I get the following message, the numbers may change but it's always has the same outcome the program crashes and I have to restart the program.
So far, through trial and error it only appears to happen when using "REALISITIC" the other styles do not crash the program, at least not yet.
[Side note: may not of tried everyone yet.]Â Â
Error: "FATAL ERROR: Unhandled Access Violation Reading 0x000a Exception at 2653281h"
Running AutoCad 2012, with CadPipe 12.5. Printing is being sent to network printers and plotters, doesn't matter which one I send to, it will crash everytime.
Whenever I print to PDF I seem to get a tiny scaling error. If I print directly from Autocad the drawing is scaled perfectly. When I print exactly the same drawing as a pdf the scale is slightly out.
I think it could be the paper size I am selecting- I dont really understand the difference between the ISO full bleed- expand ect..
Strange issue when printing a drawing. For some reason whenever I send this drawing to print the 'squared' symbols get replaced with either some overlapping numbers or the letter E.
Unfortunately I can't take a photo of the result but I'll provide an image of what I'm trying to print.
Plotting as a .pdf works fine (print preview also looks fine) and is the current work-around but it would be good to get a proper solution because it's likely these will be printed again from AC in the future and we'll forget and the client will get a stodgy drawing and I'll be sad.
When I trying to plott (or do a preview) with HP LaserJet 1525 nw configurated, autocad crashes. I have the latest drivers and updates installed Autocad 2011 64bits (sp2) on windows 7 64 sp1
I'm running Photoshop Elements 5.0. Everything was working fine til this mornin. I've had the program for about a year now. When I tried to open it this morning I got this error message that popped up.
It says:
Unable to continue because of a hardware or system error. Sorry, but this error is unrecoverable.
I've tried repairing the program. That didn't work. Restarted my computer. That didn't work. Uninstalled the program and tried opening it again. That didn't work. I'm at a loss! I really need to get into my program b/c my work is there. I tried opening some of my files (they are located in my Pictures folder) and they pop up with the same message.
i have an image that is 28' wide by 60' high. i have to tile print it, but i have to print it out on film (see thru acetate). it has to be able to print at 1400 dpi. i know how to print at 1400 dpi on adobe photoshop, but i dont know how to tile print on that program. i have the image now in illusrtator, because it lets me tile, but i cant get it to print out for film (1400 dpi). im using a epson 1280 printer.
i really need to be able to tile print this in high resolution on film. anyone know what i can do??
How do I convert the colour profile of a Lightroom custom printing package from Adobe Prophoto to sRGB before printing? For that matter, how do I save the thing? I have no interest in saving the template, or the collection separately, since neither has any use without the other. And without saving them as one finished item, I have no way to convert the colour profile of that item. I can see clearly from the appearance of the print preview that the above mentioned colour profile conversion is required.
When I use the quick selection tool (or when I use content-aware scaling) I get an error message saying "could not complete your request because of a program error." I am working with NEF files, 4 GB of RAM, fast machine with plenty of scratch space, Radeon X1950 crossfire graphics card. With small .jpg files, the problem doesn't occur.
so i recently restored my computer back to factory settings .. so my computer doesnt even have any new downloaded app .. i download photoshop cs6 now im getting scratch disk errors ..which i dont see possible if my computer doesnt have anything on it (besides what it came with) my hard drive has 276 gb i only used 33 . i made an external hard drive and that has 8 gb ... also its moving very slow .. also its telling me i cant make an new canvas size 1920 x 1020 with an resloution of 300 .. im using windows 7 Toshiba
I have Photoshop 7 installed ands till recently it was running fine but from just day before yesterday I cannot use the filters. Whenever I try to use it it says "Cannot complete action due to error in Module Interface", I have also tried by reinstalling photshop but it doesnot work.
I am getting a Could not open due to unexpected end of file error messages on a bunch of jpg's I am receiving via email. The files open in Microsoft Office Picture Manager.
Ive been trying to install Adobe Photoshop CS4 trial for the past 3 days. The only reason I want to try it is because of its ability to create textures directly on models. But whenever I try to install, I get this error"Adobe Drive CS4Error:Error 1603. Fatal error during installation." Dispite it not saying that Adobe Photoshop CS4 having an error, I still get this screen ....
I have just installed Photoshop CS2 on my new win VISTA HOME machine. There was no problems, I got a notification of a large update from ADOBE,
so I accpeted, shut down Photoshop, installed updates and then when I re-boot my machine and opened up Photoshop again, I got this error message. "Unable to continue because of a hardware or system error. Sorry, but this error is unrecoverable"
I'm trying to create a digital layout in PSCS version 8.0, and when I go to save the psd file (very early stages of the creation...its not very large yet) I get an error that says "Unable to save (file name) because of a disc error". I've never seen this before and am trying not to panic, but I'm on a deadline! LOL And am running behind as usual!
I am using an older mac, and I'm pretty dang maxed out on Gb...gotta clean up some files, but having a hard time finding a free dup file finder for macs...so I'm procrastinating, basically. Could the fact that I've got very little Gb available left have something to do with this?
