Photoshop :: Error 1603. A Fatal Error Occurred During Installation
Aug 1, 2009
Ive been trying to install Adobe Photoshop CS4 trial for the past 3 days. The only reason I want to try it is because of its ability to create textures directly on models. But whenever I try to install, I get this error"Adobe Drive CS4Error:Error 1603. Fatal error during installation." Dispite it not saying that Adobe Photoshop CS4 having an error, I still get this screen ....
I recently installed some "Megalo's Plugin Pack" and it just kept crashing my paint.NET, so I tried going to the effects and file types folders and deleteing all the plugins, but there was so much I had no idea which was plugin stuff and normal paint.NET. So I just deleted everything paint.NET and tried reinstalling it, but it just says "Fatal error installing paint.NET (1603)"
I am using AutoCad LT 2013, 64-bit on Windows 7 Professional. I noticed there is an update available as I was using the program. When I attempted to update Service Pack 1.1, I get this error "A problem prevented the Service Pack from being installed. Contact your system administrator. Error 1603"
I did the great mistake of uninstalling photoshop but i want to re-install it.I thought it wasn't going to be a problem but when i clicked setup, it said initializing installer. when it was done it closed and no installer came.
On Adobe supprot advisor it said cpsid_82829s5: "Missing installation file," bootstrapper error has occurred.
I really want to install it again but i cant. and now i have no photoshop..I tried everything from restarting the computer, cleaning it with that adobe creative suite cleaner and my computer meets all the requirements to run the software.
It was working fine before but I uninstalled it :/ and now i have this problem.
After installing Windows 7 (not an upgrade), the Installation routine stops on The first disk and Then declares a Pop Up Error 1395: An error occured during the installation of assembly component.
The install routine then executes a "roll back" functions and shuts down. What do I do to re-install my software? Of course, I do have the 24 digit installation SW Codes as verified on my Adobe member account
I have been using Ulead VideoStudio / Corel VideoStudio since the 4SE version and made all upgrades, up to X4.On April 1, 2012, I purchased then the UG from VS X4 Pro to VS X5 Pro and downloaded the software through the link provided by Corel.
I start the installation, enter the S/N of X5 and X4 (because I purchased an upgrade). But installation always stops with an error message at the following step: "Please wait while we configure Microsoft Visual C+++ 2005 Redistributable"
The error message is: "1: ALLUSERS property is not 1 - this MSM cannot be used for a per-user or fallback-to-per-user install".
What I already tried so far...I already uninstalled VS X4 and used the "VS_Cleanup", but the error persists. Meanwhile, I contacted Corel support, and they recommended to uninstall Microsoft Visual C++ and then to re-install it. I followed their instructions and uninstalled all instances of Microsoft Visual C++ and then re-installed the latest version, i.e. Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1 (x64).However, the same problem persists.
Meanwhile, I tried many other approaches: I moved the installation file (.exe file) to the desktop and tried the installation from there, I tried the installation as another user (equally with administrator rights), I tried to install under Windows Safe Mode (this failed, since some necessary drivers or software was apparently not loaded), removed any remaining traces of VS X4 manually and made a registry clean up, etc.Note also that all latest updates of Windows and related software are made.
I also re-downloaded the installation file, in order to make sure there is no problem with a corrupt installation file.
Video standard: PAL/SECAM, manually selected during the installation process.
I just recently got Photoshop CS4 and I always encounter the same problem. It would start loading up and as soon as I think it's done, a screen pops up that says "Installation Failed". I tried to figure out what was the problem, but no luck. All I know is that it keeps on saying "Error 1603".
I am trying to MOVE folders from my Desktop to an External Drive. Error "An error has occurred during the move process. Some files may not have been processed." I regularly Move Folders and I've never had problems before.
Mac OS X 10.8.2 Mountain Lion 3.2 Ghz Intel Core i3 8 Gb 1333Mhz DDR3 (was running 4 gb. an apple specialist just installed another 4 of Crucial brand. I wanted 16gb, but apparently I got a Mac in mid 2010 when it's finicky about it's Ram. Ugh)
Photoshop CS5 12.0.4 x64
Brand new 1 TB Toshiba External Used Only as a Scratch Disk, Available: 999.35 Used 848.3 Mb Files: 73 Folders: 14 Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
1 TB internal on the Mac that is checkmarked as secondary Scratch.
I'm working with Jpeg image files, mainly using Batch Processing. This error is usually occuring when I go to save my files, but today it occurred in the middle of using Content Aware. My crop tool is set at 250 resolution, and today I hadn't even cropped yet. Mac was freshly restarted last night and only a few picures edited after I restarted, so all memory should have been mainly purged. (although I had used content aware on one picture last night after restarting, a pretty large corner of a studio backdrop)
Should I be partioning my external? Is this TOO much space? My thinking was an empty hard drive wouldn't have to be searched, but I really probably don't know what I'm talking about.
I never got any errors when I was using my internal HD on the Mac, it was just slowing down after using Batch Processing and Actions. (I edit for a photographer) I do realize I should be using Lightroom. I have Lightroom 3, but I just don't have the time to learn right now, as this is the photographers busy season.
I'm using AutoCAD 2012 version 18.2. I need to programmatically open .dxf file, change font and save as .dwg version AC1800. I do it with the following code [URL] .... The problem is that after saving as AC1800 and open the result file, Autocad says that some errors occurred and offer to recover file. After this it works fine. If I save as DwgVersion.Current or DwgVersion.Newest it works fine.
IM having a problem with my xara file... it gives me a read error occurred.. i tried to solved it but i failed, although i can see it in preview and no change in file size..
I keep getting this error message (see below) whenever I try to make jpegs from my layer comps using File-->Scripts-->Layer Comps from Files. This error always comes up after Photoshop gets through 2 or 3 comps. I often have to select only a few layer comps at a time to get it to make jpegs. I recently upgraded to Photoshop CS6.
Here is the message I get:
Error: General Photoshop error occurred. This functionality may not be available in this version of Photoshop. The object “layer comp 2054478963” is not currently available.
Just a heads up on an old issue which still exists in the burning module of X4. Apparently nothing has been updated from X2 other than reintegrating it with the editing software. Unspecified is maddeningly vague but If you get this message during the authoring stage it may be due to a glitch in some of the menu templates. I have found that using certain menu templates if you uncheck the "motion menu" box it will crash the production at the final stage with this message occurring. If this happens you must leave the motion menu box checked (which is the template default) even though you aren't using a motion menu. It appears to have no effect on the finished product. I have found this glitch with a number of the text menu templates that I like to use. I know it took me some effort to figure this out back in X2.
Illustrator won't let me save! It says "Unknown error has occured." I only have line work and text I placed from AutoCAD as a DWG file on the artboard and I was going to color the rooms in Illustrator.
We've been experiencing an issue with saving illustrator files (as .ai). The error message is "unknown error occurred" when attempting to save. Things tried already:
delete preferences file uninstall/re-install CS6 standardize all fonts to arial save in another location (desktop, network) save as .eps
But still same.
This happens when copying components of one ai file to another and trying to save it. Found that removing one tiny piece from a drawing allows the save. There is no text in that piece, just lines and shading.
I am trying to export a 97 page book filled mostly with images to pdf. There are a several pages with solid text. Halfway through Lightroom's saving process, it pops up with "An error occurred while saving the book: an error occurred adding text and fonts to the book."
All the images are in one folder, I have made sure LR is locating the images correctly, and the font is the default myriad pro.
After I have re-imported a corrupted xml file with print templates, LR starts with error "An error occured while trying to switch between modules" (or so, translated from german). This happens after selecting a catalog - however, regardless of the catalog choosen (even after creating a new one).Funny enough, for other users on the same system, the problem does not occur.
-> What can I do to get rid of the problem? -> Do I have to reinstall / change or delete files?
I'm trying to get user created profiles for my Sony cameras and lenses, as LR doesn't have very many built in.
I need to install the profile downloader, which downloads as a ".air" file. I've uninstalled Adobe Air and reinstalled the latest version but when I try to install the "Adobe_Lens_Profile_Downloader_1_0_1.air" file I get the message:
an error has occurred.
This application cannot be installed because this installer has been misconfigured. Please contact the application author for assistance."
when I had to do a system restore, it messed up. Not sure why, but I got the screen to accept or decline the user end license agreement, when I clicked to accept it, it just went away and nothing happened. So I uninstalled it, and tried reinstalling it, now every time I try, it gets right to the end, where it's installing Adobe Bridge CS4 and it comes up with an error saying it had problems installing photoshop CS4 and then asks me if I want to continue with the installation, I click continue, and it finishes, but I get an error message at the end again. When I click more information I get this:
Adobe Photoshop CS4 Error: Error 1603. Fatal error during installation.
Adobe Photoshop CS4 Error: Error 1603. Fatal error during installation.
Adobe Bridge CS4 Error: Error 1603. Fatal error during installation. ne Adobe Device Central CS4 Error: Error 1603. Fatal error during installation.
I'm not sure why I'm getting this error,

I am trying to install an old copy of Photoshop 6 that I have and have installed it successfully on this laptop before I had to rebuild it but now I am getting an error when it gets to 71% "Copying ICC profiles" and the error message reads:ComponentMoveData Error InformationComponentMoveData had the following error:Media Name:DataComponent:ICC_ProfilesFile Group: ICC_Profiles_SharedFile:pcd4050k.icmError Number: -106Has anyone seen this before?
