I am trying to export a 97 page book filled mostly with images to pdf. There are a several pages with solid text. Halfway through Lightroom's saving process, it pops up with "An error occurred while saving the book: an error occurred adding text and fonts to the book."
All the images are in one folder, I have made sure LR is locating the images correctly, and the font is the default myriad pro.

View 6 Replies View RelatedWe've been experiencing an issue with saving illustrator files (as .ai). The error message is "unknown error occurred" when attempting to save. Things tried already:
delete preferences file
uninstall/re-install CS6
standardize all fonts to arial
save in another location (desktop, network)
save as .eps
But still same.
This happens when copying components of one ai file to another and trying to save it. Found that removing one tiny piece from a drawing allows the save.There is no text in that piece, just lines and shading.
I have both 32- and 64-bit versions of Adobe Illustrator CS6 The error occurs only with the 64-bit version,The error occurs only when saving files containing text objects.Unchecking "Create PDF Compatible File" doesn't solve the problem. Resetting Illustrator's settings also doesn't work.
It's pretty much time taking switching between the two versions and I also have files pretty big enough that require opening in the 64 bit version.
we downloaded lightroom from are cloud account and we keep getting this error occurred when attempting to change modules.

After I have re-imported a corrupted xml file with print templates, LR starts with error "An error occured while trying to switch between modules" (or so, translated from german).This happens after selecting a catalog - however, regardless of the catalog choosen (even after creating a new one).Funny enough, for other users on the same system, the problem does not occur.

-> Do I have to reinstall / change or delete files?
I'm trying to get user created profiles for my Sony cameras and lenses, as LR doesn't have very many built in.
I need to install the profile downloader, which downloads as a ".air" file. I've uninstalled Adobe Air and reinstalled the latest version but when I try to install the "Adobe_Lens_Profile_Downloader_1_0_1.air" file I get the message:
an error has occurred.
This application cannot be installed because this installer has been misconfigured. Please contact the application author for assistance."
I get this message even after 3 attempts to unistall and re-install lr5. I even deleted the downloads and re-downloaded it twice to make sure. It will not let me import or do anything.I an trying to do the free trial so I can decide between this or Aperture. If I cannot run the trial, I wonder if I will be able to run the full version! I will be using this in conjunction with nik soft or topaz, and need to know if everything will play nice together.

Lenovo G770 6GB RAM 500GB HDD (partitioned C: & D: LR executables + catalogue on C: - 200GB free; images on D: - 160GB free)
Olympus ORF (from E-P2) imported as DNG
30 image files imported
One user preset run with import.
all imports selected in library then autotone applied in quick develop
change to develop module
start to edit - crop -
error: "An internal error has occurred! DB statement finalized twice "
Now can change module, click on folders etc, but no images are displayed.
No disk activity
LR displays "Loading ... " in centre pane
Closed LR without other errors displayed.
Now cannot restart LR - click on icon and brief hourglass, then nothing.
task manager shows two instanced of lightrrom.exe as running, one at 830K and another at 2.3K
Kill these tasks & restart lightroom. Catalogue does not show most recent import.
Close lightroom - still shows "phantom" lightroom.exe in task manager.
Everytime I have tried to use Lightroom2 and recently Lightroom 5 I get 'an error occurred when attempting to adjust module".

View 9 Replies View RelatedI am in the process of making a photobook using Lightroom and discovered when I reached page 240 that I couldn't add any additional pages, much to my surprise. I was surprised because I knew from Blurb's website that the limit for standard paper is 440 pages and mistakenly assumed that this limit would also apply within Lightroom. I did more research online and found many others being surprised by this limitation after spending hours and days on a photo book. I will likely work around this by exporting from Lightroom to .jpg and uploading to Blurb, but that will take extra time and effort and reduces the appeal of using Lightroom to create a Blurb book. I had also tried exporting from Lightroom to .pdf only to find that the .pdf format exported by Lightroom is not compatible with the requirements of Blurb.

Apparently nothing has been updated from X2 other than reintegrating it with the editing software. Unspecified is maddeningly vague but If you get this message during the authoring stage it may be due to a glitch in some of the menu templates. I have found that using certain menu templates if you uncheck the "motion menu" box it will crash the production at the final stage with this message occurring. If this happens you must leave the motion menu box checked (which is the template default) even though you aren't using a motion menu. It appears to have no effect on the finished product. I have found this glitch with a number of the text menu templates that I like to use. I know it took me some effort to figure this out back in X2.

It renders the pages and then having rendered the cover gets stuck, about 50% to 60% through the process. None of the photographs are starred or colour coded. What can I do about this? This has NEVER hapenned before.
