This warning pops up from time to time as I migrate my LR 3 picture folders from an internal hard drive on an iMac to an external hard drive. The folders and all the images show up on the external hard drive O.K. and are accepted by the LR 3 database.A greyed folder with zero files remains behind on the internal hard drive in the LR 3 application Folder.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWe've been experiencing an issue with saving illustrator files (as .ai). The error message is "unknown error occurred" when attempting to save. Things tried already:
delete preferences file
uninstall/re-install CS6
standardize all fonts to arial
save in another location (desktop, network)
save as .eps
But still same.
This happens when copying components of one ai file to another and trying to save it. Found that removing one tiny piece from a drawing allows the save.There is no text in that piece, just lines and shading.
I recently upgraded to CS6 and cannot open any past files in CS6 from CS5. Everytime I try I Get "Unknown Error has Occurred"
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have both 32- and 64-bit versions of Adobe Illustrator CS6 The error occurs only with the 64-bit version,The error occurs only when saving files containing text objects.Unchecking "Create PDF Compatible File" doesn't solve the problem. Resetting Illustrator's settings also doesn't work.
It's pretty much time taking switching between the two versions and I also have files pretty big enough that require opening in the 64 bit version.
I'm using a macBook pro with retina display runing Mac OS X 10.8.3. When I try to use Brush libraries I get "an unknown error has occured".

In a previous discussion transparency is called out as the culprit however I am not using transparency in my document and have checked all the items. I have also tried copying the work into a new ai file however this also will not save. This is has happened to me about 5 times since I updated to CS6.
Update - I just closed Illustrator and lost all my work and then an Adobe update window showed up asking me to update Adobe Air. I recall an Adobe Update window appearing once before when I had problems solving. Could the Adobe update window interfere or prevent me from saving my documents?

Not funny. The problem started when I attempted to paste an template into a blank document. There was a conflict between swatches. I'm not sure how many there were, around 200 or so. Each one requireing me to click OK.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have had numerous application errors which result in the PS CS4 shutting down unexpectedly. 1 such error message: "The exception unknown software exception (0xc000000d) occurred in the application 0x78138a8c". It happens repeatedly when I try and create Brushes, when I open normal jpg files, when I create new file. There seems to be no direct correlation between an action and a crash. (I have worked on CS2 with nothing like this ever happening.)

LR wasn't able to complete the move and gave me an error message. After I clicked "OK" on the error message, I wasn't able to find my folder/images from the old or new location. View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to export a 97 page book filled mostly with images to pdf. There are a several pages with solid text. Halfway through Lightroom's saving process, it pops up with "An error occurred while saving the book: an error occurred adding text and fonts to the book."
All the images are in one folder, I have made sure LR is locating the images correctly, and the font is the default myriad pro.

After I have re-imported a corrupted xml file with print templates, LR starts with error "An error occured while trying to switch between modules" (or so, translated from german).This happens after selecting a catalog - however, regardless of the catalog choosen (even after creating a new one).Funny enough, for other users on the same system, the problem does not occur.

-> Do I have to reinstall / change or delete files?
I'm trying to get user created profiles for my Sony cameras and lenses, as LR doesn't have very many built in.
I need to install the profile downloader, which downloads as a ".air" file. I've uninstalled Adobe Air and reinstalled the latest version but when I try to install the "Adobe_Lens_Profile_Downloader_1_0_1.air" file I get the message:
an error has occurred.
This application cannot be installed because this installer has been misconfigured. Please contact the application author for assistance."
I get this message even after 3 attempts to unistall and re-install lr5. I even deleted the downloads and re-downloaded it twice to make sure. It will not let me import or do anything.I an trying to do the free trial so I can decide between this or Aperture. If I cannot run the trial, I wonder if I will be able to run the full version! I will be using this in conjunction with nik soft or topaz, and need to know if everything will play nice together.

One user preset run with import.
all imports selected in library then autotone applied in quick develop
change to develop module
start to edit - crop -
error: "An internal error has occurred! DB statement finalized twice "
Now can change module, click on folders etc, but no images are displayed.
No disk activity
LR displays "Loading ... " in centre pane
Closed LR without other errors displayed.
Now cannot restart LR - click on icon and brief hourglass, then nothing.
task manager shows two instanced of lightrrom.exe as running, one at 830K and another at 2.3K
Kill these tasks & restart lightroom. Catalogue does not show most recent import.
Close lightroom - still shows "phantom" lightroom.exe in task manager.
Everytime I have tried to use Lightroom2 and recently Lightroom 5 I get 'an error occurred when attempting to adjust module".

If I try to repair the Lightroom 4 program in the control panel, I get the message "the feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable". SO much of my work is sitting in those catalogs.
View 1 Replies View RelatedTrying to troubleshoot a weird issue w/ Lightroom 5.3 on a PC. Updated my current catalog and wanted to import a couple of old catalogs to consolidate images. The first two of the old catalogs updated and imported just fine, previews were merged, data seamlessly integrated -- all good. But the third catalog is giving me no end of grief. It goes through the update process to be LR5 compatible, but when I say "import everything" on the list of found images/folders, it tries for a bit, then fails out with "unknown error". This happens regardless of what I pick from that catalog -- even a single folder. It also happens if I export a sub-catalog from the old catalog and try to import that. But the updated catalog runs just fine on its own.
I've tried optimizing the offending catalog and checked for any possible issues with folder names, missing images, incompatible formats etc. etc.
I'm reluctant to try the "reverse" operation and import my main catalog back into the old, "challenged" catalog for fear of future corruption.
I use lightroom to edit the timelapses I shoot and it works brilliantly with the sync setting. But my problem is I use presets that call for the slideshow to move at 24 fps, 26fps, 30fps etc. and some of these time lapses contain over 300 photos and whenever I try to export the timelapse as a video from the slideshow module about an 8th of the way into the progress bar it stops and a message comes up that says "unknown error occurred" So my question would be: Is there a maximum number of slides you can have in a slideshow and is that what's causing this to happen?
