I've been using ACAD LT 2013 successfully, until the message started flashing on my screen "Sync Error, A customization sync error has occurred" It does not allow me to turn it off.
View 3 RepliesIn ACAD 2013, everytime I try to sync my settings to "the cloud", the pull down menu reads "Customization Syn - Error". I am signed in OK to Autodesk 360. Stand alone 64 bit installation on a single machine.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just installed an educational version of Autocad 2014 for school and am encountering some major problems. The program works fine at first, but after I close it and reopen the application it starts to bug out. If I try to ask my layers after I reopen the program, Unhandled exception has occurred in a component in your application.
If I close the program and try to reopen, the opening screen gives me the same error message. I've installed and reinstalled the programs multiple times over the server, but still no difference.
im using acad 2010 in work and in home. i want full sync of all the customization i'vei made in both sides. itried to use a cloud service like Dropbox, i copy and paste there all the supportfiles and i set the path to there inboth machines but for some reason acad wouldn't use it.

The problem is that after saving as AC1800 and open the result file, Autocad says that some errors occurred and offer to recover file. After this it works fine. If I save as DwgVersion.Current or DwgVersion.Newest it works fine.

There does not seem to be a real problem because I can open the exported drawing in vanilla AutoCAD OK, (although I do still get a proxy notice..?).
A few other older threads about this reveal no solution or confirmation that this dialog is a bug.

I am using AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011 and everytime I export a model to AutoCAD format I get the message:
"Warning and error occurred during save. We recommend that you run RECOVER on the drawing"
Although it usually finds one fault during Audit or Recover and fixes that, the message still persists in appearing every time I use the export function. Why this happens and how I can sort it out?
My right click customization, which would bring up properties as an option, or could unlock a viewport by selecting it and right clicking. and can also select an x-ref to open, or edit in place, and modify attributes, etc.....has disappeared.
All I get now are basic pan/zoom commands, action recorder, clipboard, etc.....I checked my options, nothing has changed in my right click customization field, but for some reason, it's just not working. Any way to get that back?
when I wanted to copy objects from one drawing to another or even inside of one drawing, I could right click, "Copy with Base Point" . In 2013 (possibly before) they moved that command along with copy, paste into another command called "Clipboard".
I've been searching for a way to customize that to remove that extra click to access a commonly used command with no luck.
why I'd get this error when doing an Export to AutoCAD 2010/2007/2004...? It seems to be innocuous, and irrelevant, but it's disturbing none-the-less. I haven't been able to identify any reason why it appears, and all drawings seem to work normally, with no problems. AUDITs turn up no errors. So I've just been ignoring this message, but it's distracting. And it doesn't always appear... although I haven't been able yet to identify what causes it to appear in some drawings, and not others. I think it only ever happens when there's an XREF, but not sure... (Maybe when an XREF is in an older version of C3D/LDD/AutoCAD...?)

I was trying to create an alignment from a polyline to further create a profile, and I keep getting the following message:

Then I started 2013 Civil 3D as an administrator and I got the same error.
we've made a part from an assembly and put the stress analysis to the test. Unfortunately the analysis doesn't complete it's run, because of an error:
"An error occurred while creating the finite element mesh. The cause may be invalid geometry or features that are extremely small in comparison to the overall dimensions of the part. To fix the problem, please suppress those problematic features or use standard meshing method."
We can't change the thickness of the sheet-metal, because it's a model which comes from a supplier with a different cad-program. And supressing any features isn't possible, because it's a base-solid.
But where can we change it to the standard meshing methode? The program is recently re-installed on my computer, the settings haven't changed since it's been installed. We can't find the feature.
I have been using AutoCAD 2013 for 2 days now, and already the new version seams so unstable! lots of errors every where!
sometimes the file gets stuck, and while you draw the file looks empty, yet when you restart autocad, you see everything you didnt see drawn.
yet this doesnt appear all the time, but the error I will be discussing does:
Try enter CUI and set the Quickcalculator pallet to appear on the right or left side of the screen. Close the CUI, and everything is going fine, and the pallet appears normal. Yet close Autocad and start it again, and an error will appear on start it says this:
"Unhandled exception has occurred in a component in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. Width and Height must be non-negative."
and the Quickcalculator pallet will appear floating in the middle.
I tried everything, but no use. The same error over and over again. This didnt happen in older versions and no big changes happned to the CUI interface, which makes me conclude its a bug.
I am trying to customize my quick properties (acad.cuix), but i keep on receiving fatal error message. And when i click on quick properties it is all blank. Also, the Properties dialogue box is not working when i click on something, the properties do not appear on the Properties dialogue box. Attached is the error message.

View 9 Replies View RelatedJust a heads up on an old issue which still exists in the burning module of X4. Apparently nothing has been updated from X2 other than reintegrating it with the editing software. Unspecified is maddeningly vague but If you get this message during the authoring stage it may be due to a glitch in some of the menu templates. I have found that using certain menu templates if you uncheck the "motion menu" box it will crash the production at the final stage with this message occurring. If this happens you must leave the motion menu box checked (which is the template default) even though you aren't using a motion menu. It appears to have no effect on the finished product. I have found this glitch with a number of the text menu templates that I like to use. I know it took me some effort to figure this out back in X2.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWe've been experiencing an issue with saving illustrator files (as .ai). The error message is "unknown error occurred" when attempting to save. Things tried already:
delete preferences file
uninstall/re-install CS6
standardize all fonts to arial
save in another location (desktop, network)
save as .eps
But still same.
This happens when copying components of one ai file to another and trying to save it. Found that removing one tiny piece from a drawing allows the save.There is no text in that piece, just lines and shading.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to export a 97 page book filled mostly with images to pdf. There are a several pages with solid text. Halfway through Lightroom's saving process, it pops up with "An error occurred while saving the book: an error occurred adding text and fonts to the book."
All the images are in one folder, I have made sure LR is locating the images correctly, and the font is the default myriad pro.

After I have re-imported a corrupted xml file with print templates, LR starts with error "An error occured while trying to switch between modules" (or so, translated from german).This happens after selecting a catalog - however, regardless of the catalog choosen (even after creating a new one).Funny enough, for other users on the same system, the problem does not occur.

I'm trying to get user created profiles for my Sony cameras and lenses, as LR doesn't have very many built in.
I need to install the profile downloader, which downloads as a ".air" file. I've uninstalled Adobe Air and reinstalled the latest version but when I try to install the "Adobe_Lens_Profile_Downloader_1_0_1.air" file I get the message:
an error has occurred.
This application cannot be installed because this installer has been misconfigured. Please contact the application author for assistance."
Just upgraded from X3 to X4, software initialy worked fine, then I installed the KPT add in and now I get the following error message when attempting to view any pictures...An error has occureed while trying to read from the file.

I draw, or even add text to an object this always pops-up:
Disk Error- 108 occurred while reading or writing to a scratch disk. this error is unrecoverable.
What can I do about this? This has NEVER hapenned before.
I'm on a Compaq Presario PC, OS: Windows XP Home Edition.
I am using Photoshop CS2.
After using the program for a few weeks it appeared the error message "An error has occurred while drawing the contents of this window" only when I open the 3D view. I reset the Windows user profile and everything is back to normal operation. Today has come out again this error screen. Video drivers are certified and the board is a Nvidea Quadro and normally I have no problems. To test I created a new user and everything works fine.What could alter the software related to user profile?
