I have created a very basic reactor as a test. As you can see, it doesn't actually do anything other than set a variable so I know the error isn't caused by something I'm doing with the reactor.
(defun np:test (reactor callbackdata / ) (setq abc 123))(if (not np:reactor1) (setq np:reactor1 (vlr-command-reactor nil '((:vlr-commandwillstart . np:test))) ))
OK, so the problem I have found is that if I load this reactor into a drawing and then use the MVSETUP command but escape out without completing the command, AutoCAD throws an error and becomes unusable. When I then close AutoCAD down I am met with multiple unhandled exception errors before the app finally closes.
I then altered the reactor from a vlr-command-reactor to a vlr-editor-reactor and found that with this, I am no longer met with the same error while escaping out of MVSETUP. However, when I close CAD down I am eventually left with an 'AutoCAD Application has stopped working' error dialog on screen which reports that acad.exe as crashed.
I am working on AutoCAD Architecture 2012 (although I have tried it on 2013 to with the same results) on Windows 7 64bit. I have also tried this on ACA2012 x32 and found the same error exists.
I am doing something fundamentally wrong in the way I am handling reactors?

I am looking for a lisp routine that, when activated, asks the user to select the "preset view" (similar to the preset view command found in the ribbon, but instead smaller and quicker), enter name for the view, end.
If possible, perhaps a command, relating to the routine above, that can be placed in the short-cut menu (right-click), which will list the preset views (made by the user), and be selectable.
The approach is instant view change, where it is possible to apply the command, then reapply to go to another view.
if possible, surely there'd be some people that may be interested in this capability.

I've made a failed attempt to add the RIBBONCONTROL Named Views to the main Quick Access Toolbar. The Customize User Interface dialogue box (CUI) seems to allow me to drag the Named Views RIBBONCONTROL from the command list to Quick Access Toolbar 1. I don't see the "forbidden" icon and the blue insert bar shows up when I perform the drag operation.
However, I suspect there is some compatibility issue, because the command doesn't pop up when I release the mouse button at the end of the drag operation. Using command QUICKCUI and trying to drag Named Views RIBBONCONTROL directly to the Quick Access Toolbar (on screen) seems to be allowed likewise, but doesn't work also.
Using the regular View Manager Dialogue is not the kind of solution I'm looking for, because in the View Manager it takes at least twice as much mouse clicks to change to another view.
Any way to reach the desired customization? Should it be reported as a bug to Autodesk?

I have the following code to delete all hatch in a drawing. At the end of the command there is a notice that all hatch have been eliminated.
However, the last message displayed is: "Hatch boundary associativity removed".

I was wondering if there is a way to have a message such as the following show up when a lisp routine was loaded using "Load Application" in ACAD?
1) Load Application "ZAP"
2) lisp routine is successfully loaded and the message "Type ZAP at the command line to initiate ZAP routine"

I am looking for code that will delete all the properties within a DWG file.
Searching the forum, I found the following
; Remove any existing Properties
(dictremove (namedobjdict) "DWGPROPS")
However, further research (forum, testing and help system) indicates that it no longer applies to current releases of AutoCAD so my initial happiness was short-lived!

I'm trying to include the Autodesk 360 SP1 in my 2014 deployment. Its working fine but it prompts for a restart and I'd rather not require user action to complete the install. (the users here restart frequently enough to deal with this anyway)
I have tried the following switches in the parameters section to no avail:
/s /qn
/s /v/qn
/s qn "REBOOT = ReallySupress"
/s /v/qn "REBOOT = ReallySupress"

I need a program to move some selected text to a line something like as extend command but for text objects!
suppose that there is a horizental line (y=constant) or vertical line (x=constant) and some selected text(or other objects), I want a lisp program that move these selected text (or objects) by their "insertion point" to this line.
in other word, if the selected base line is horizental (y=constant) then property of "Y" of all selected text should change to line's "Y"; and if selected base line is vertical (x=constant) then value of "X" of all selected text should match to line's "X" value.
for example, for base vertical line (x=constant) and 3 selected text(or can be any object) result is:
text1. | text1.|
text2. | ===> text2.|
text3. | text3.|
| .text1 |.text1
| .text2 ===> |.text2
| .text3 |.text3

Any lisp routine on how to change "Drawing Properties" (fields via Mtext) on multiple single drawing files?
There are several instances where we would need to take a project to create another one and simply change the title block description.
As of now, we are opening each drawing (there could be hundreds) and modifiying the drawing properties on each drawing to change the customer name and other project descriptions.
These are not attributes, but fields. I've researched alot on here and couldnt find anything.
The drawing is attached.

how to access custom drawing properties using LISP. It was in a discussion initiated on 01-06-2011, subject: Custom drawing properties.
One solution was to use the following method:
(setq si (vla-Get-SummaryInfo (vla-Get-ActiveDocument (vlax-Get-Acad-Object))))
(vla-GetCustomByKey si "DWGPROP1" 'pval)
(princ pval)
Now taking it a step further, using LISP, how can I "update" my custom drawing properties?

I've been looking for commant that will allow me to copy a selection of entities to another layer for details. I'll need to be able to select several objets all at once and have each of them maintain the correct colors, linetypes, lineweights. Most everything is set as bylayer but that makes everything change once the objects are moved to a new layer.
How can I keep the everything looking like it never changed except for the fact that it will be moved to a new layer - layer 0 in this situation?

Normally when applying the matchprop command in CAD, one has to first pick the template element, and then select the elements which should have this template element's properties copied to/matched.
is it possible (via lisp perhaps?) to reverse this order, so that i can select a bunch of elements (e.g. through the quickselect icon) and THEN apply a matchpropertieslisp command, then select a single template element which the initially selected elements should mimic?

I'm working with our new copy of AutoCAD 2013 and using the Visual LISP IDE to create code. I also have an AC2009 machine right next to me for other tasks. On the 2013 machine when I click the "Load Active Edit Window" button it switches to the console screen but there are no messages printed like:
$
; 37 forms loaded from #<editor "C:/LISP/My-Lisp.lsp">
_$
This of course is making it extremely difficult to debug. I have checked the environment settings and they are exactly the same on each machine. The AC2009 machine prints the messages but the AC2013 machine is just giving me a blank console screen.

We have a lisp routine that I co-authored ages ago and then haven't done much programming in about 7 years. I seem to have forgotten much of my language skills. This portion of the lisp routine was running fine in autocad 2005 which is what the computer had on it, and it doesn't run on autocad 2010.
I've narrowed it down to the while statement which is why you see it commented out, but that portion is necessary. My main question is was there a change in the language specifically the while statement between 2005 and 2010?

So i have almost 30 installs and my custom programs are working in all but this new install. Now when i pick on the tool palette that runs the program, i get a message shown in the attached png, then when i pick "OK" i get "Unable to load dialog box."
I've searched these hallowed halls but all the messages seem to point to 2002 versions of ACAD Map and i'm running plain AutoACAD (that came with Product Design Suite, aka Inventor.)
