I'm trying create a LISP to customize PDF creation. The lisp looks into the .PC3 file which paper size better fits the plot area. But its exaustive to every time i want to create a new paper size i have to open the .pc3 file and configure a new paper.
There is a way to open the .pc3 properties through lisp?

When I do a Polyline, after i done an arc section, I would like to be able to press "F" instead of "L" to do a line section...
Is there an easy way to do that or do I have to reprogram a new Polyline command in lisp with the subcommand shortcut that I would like? (would prefer to avoid it as sometime I have to work on LT)
The reason behind all of this is that I remapped all my command to keys that are on the left side of the keyboard ... it work really well and I almost never have to lift my left hand except for the case with the polyline... the L key is miles away ...
Right now I remapped a button on my mouse to "L" but its not as natural as just using the keyboard...
I would like to select all instances of a block, and put a new block on top of them using the same properties (insertion, rotation) but am unsure how to do this

For example, in the 3D Solids - Home Tab, the second panel from the left is "3D Solids Home - Mesh" It has a small arrow in the corner that opens up a preferences dialogue box.
How can I add that arrow to a custom panel with that little arrow so that I can add my command to it?

I need a program to move some selected text to a line something like as extend command but for text objects!
suppose that there is a horizental line (y=constant) or vertical line (x=constant) and some selected text(or other objects), I want a lisp program that move these selected text (or objects) by their "insertion point" to this line.
in other word, if the selected base line is horizental (y=constant) then property of "Y" of all selected text should change to line's "Y"; and if selected base line is vertical (x=constant) then value of "X" of all selected text should match to line's "X" value.
for example, for base vertical line (x=constant) and 3 selected text(or can be any object) result is:

Any lisp routine on how to change "Drawing Properties" (fields via Mtext) on multiple single drawing files?
There are several instances where we would need to take a project to create another one and simply change the title block description.
As of now, we are opening each drawing (there could be hundreds) and modifiying the drawing properties on each drawing to change the customer name and other project descriptions.
These are not attributes, but fields. I've researched alot on here and couldnt find anything.

I'm looking for a lisp routine that i can globally change the text height and width factor of a particular block attribute. The name of the attribute tag is "TAG". I would like to be able to select all the blocks that i need to edit and then specify what text height and width factor i want to change to.

I'll need to be able to select several objets all at once and have each of them maintain the correct colors, linetypes, lineweights. Most everything is set as bylayer but that makes everything change once the objects are moved to a new layer.
How can I keep the everything looking like it never changed except for the fact that it will be moved to a new layer - layer 0 in this situation?

I have a CAD file with a couple hundred detail blocks in it, and I am trying to standardize them without haing to block edit each detail block.

I am trying to customize my quick properties (acad.cuix), but i keep on receiving fatal error message. And when i click on quick properties it is all blank. Also, the Properties dialogue box is not working when i click on something, the properties do not appear on the Properties dialogue box. Attached is the error message.

Is it possible to open a dwg, change something and then plot a layout with visual lisp. This is my start. Opening is working, but plotting not. - After publishing, the publish dialog auto closes. I don't wat that. After publishing dwf I also want pdf.(I know you can save the list, that's not the point. If you didn't close the dialog I wouldn't need it)
- When selecting a hatch, the ribbon automatically jumps to Hatch Editor. I don't want that. Maybe I just want to change the layer. I can find the Hatch editor my self..Dito for XREFS
- I do not want any dialog giving me warnings, about anything.
If an XREF doesn't get attached, I can see that. I don't need a dialog telling me.If a shape file is missing, I can see that..A triangle sign above the command line is totaly adequate.Don't auto open or close dialogs, for what ever reason.
So ... don't auto do anything I can perfectly do manualy. No doubt there are a few more examples I can't think of right now.The nice thing would be to get a variable that gives me that "no auto" mode.

It asks what file to open and suggests the last opened file, and whatever I tried so far this keeps happening.
*.scr files are not allowed on our network, I can't create or rename files to *.scr. Of course I could ask the admins to allow this but I think our security policy is more important than me having a button to open a file.
We have stored lisp in fileserver which 30 users can access it. Now a day some users have getting the ‘failed to open project’ error after load the Lisp due to this they r also not getting most of the commands. The full rights have been given to appropriate folder which contains (Autolisp application source file, .vlx, Autocad VBA source). It has working for limited users (8-10 users).

I have one function which generate the PDF file using COM API.
That function works fine and generated the PDF successfully.
Only problem is after generating the PDF, Adobe Reader is opened to display that DWG file which I have plotted.

I am looking for a way to force all DWG files created with previous versions of AutoCAD to automatically open "Read Only". For example, using Civil 3D 2011, I open a file that is a 2007 format DWG. I want this file to automatically open read only, and inform the user that it has opened read only.
I'm hoping that this is possible, since opening a 2007 format DWG in a newer AutoCAD already tells you that it's an older format in the command line, and files can already be opened as read only.
