Aug 9, 2009I have got a GIF image of a push pin that I'm trying to drag onto a JPEG photo. I 've got both images open, and when I select the move tool for the push pin GIF, it starts to drag, but won't move across to the JPEG photo.

It could be the biggest image in the universe and it shows up so small to where I have to use Free Transform every single time. Even the eraser is so small that I can't see it. It can be on 2500 but the eraser is a dot.Â

Now this has stopped working for an unknown reason about 2-3 months ago after updating. I'll drag the image over the application icon on the dock as before, but then nothing opens. As a result, my workflow is now more inefficient and inconvenient. Â

Jan 27, 2007You know those "warp a celebrity" flash or java games where you click on part of the celebrity's face and drag the mouse, and the image warps? Can this sort of thing be done to your images in photoshop 6.0? (That's the version I have)
If this can't be done in Photoshop 6.0, does anyone know of a simple freeware program that I can use to warp images "celebrity warp" style?
Photoshop :: Dragging Window In CS4 Darkens Image
Mar 23, 2009Why does an image darken while dragging the window within Photoshop CS4?
Once the window is released with the mouse/pen, it snaps back to how it was?
Explained further:
Open an image in Photoshop CS4.
Click & hold the grey title bar at the top of the image.
Move it around within the Photoshop window.
It noticably "pops" - darkens.
Release the mouse/pen, image snaps back to how it was.
Weird
I've put a sample point on a section of the image, numbers don't change.
I've tried disabling "Open GL Drawing"
- Doesn't happen but...
- Image appears darker as per when dragging with "Open GL Drawing enabled.
- Numbers remain the same on the sample point.
Hope this makes sense.

problem:if i drag an image on my secondary (image editing) monitor the images saturation/color changes while i drag it. on mouse release it goes back to normal.this doesnt happen on my primary (system etc) monitor.yes i could probably workaround making my editing monitor my primary monitor, but i don't want to, because i want it free of windows bars and similar rubbish.

Aug 29, 2013I'm writing because after reinstall the Mountain Lion (10.8.4), I realized that dragging an image from Chrome (29.0. 1547. 62) to the dock icon Photoshop CS6 the icon is not active and therefore the program does not open with the image, I tried with firefox (23.0.1) and the dock icon photoshop is animated and open photoshop but show the following message "Could not complete your request because Photoshop does not recognize this type of file." I tried with SAFARI and all fine, without problems. I note that before reinstallation and after doing a clean install (I do a back up, I formated the hard drive and install the mountain lion) this option worked perfect.

I check the following path ~ / Library / Caches / TemporaryItems that is where store the pictures as you take the browser and when stored in the folder but never open photoshop, I want to emphasize that opening photoshop and open a blank canvas, I can drag and drop (drag and drop) and the image appears, but with the dock icon anymore.

I have many theories but also not solve:
Â
1. It's a permissions problem.
2. Any option is not enabled (OS X or photoshop) or not installed
3. Some kind of incompatibility, but again and worked without problems.
GIMP :: Prevent From Dragging Curve Instead Of Dragging Anchor?
Jul 12, 2012I'm refining some SVG files, imported into GIMP as paths. I added numerous guides on the images and drag anchors to the guides. All the paths consist of straight lines only. The problem is that on some anchors GIMP performs the "drag curve" operation instead of the "drag anchor". As a result, my straight lines become broken (curved).
The only solution I've found so far is to apply maximum zoom level, say 400%, and repeat the dragging in this resolution. This makes GIMP work properly, at least, I'm able to "drag anchor" as expected. But switching back and forth to the 400% zoom level is a bit annoying and inconvenient.
Is there a better way to "say" GIMP that "dragging anchor" is the "dragging anchor", not "dragging curve"?

Nov 28, 2012I got single clip in desktop and it got an alpha embedded. If i drag that clip into the cfx , the clip will be interpreted correctly where alpha will be recognized. The problem in action is when i drag into action schematic, the alpha is ignored Smoke should know if there's alpha embedded then by default it should use it. ANother problem is when in media list , i add new media then click the clip twice (to grab F and M from the same clip), the result : i got blank alpha. Again it should load the alpha while there's alpha embedded . I think , this should become the dafault behaviour to deal with alpha. Although loading this clip in cfx schematic will solve the problem, i think the action still need to be fixed.
Also it should be cool feature if i can drag the clip from library and drop it in media list , and it will replace the media of the selected item in media list.

Jun 3, 2012Whenever I drag in a new image from my desktop or some other directory, and place it in Photoshop it always acts as a new layer on the thing that i was working on before, and as a smart object.I know I can drag it into the bar up top, but honestly that's such a small area, so it's rather annoying. I find it more convenient to be able to drag the image just about anywhere, and have it open as if i went File>Open

I might even go back to CS4 just to be able to avoid both problems by letting documents float, and not open each image as a separate window in the taskbar.

Jun 9, 2012I've been working with the tutorial link below to get rid of some stains, While I have no problem working directly on the channels, I'm lost as to what it means to drag the channels onto layers. I can't seem to find a reference as to how to do this. Most likely I don't have to correct term when I'm searching.

Photoshop :: Dragging Images Into CC - Not Working?
Aug 23, 2013I'm working on some websites and my workflow is being slowed down because after installing the new Photoshop CC I tried dragging images from websites into photoshop to open them and create a new image over it WITH the same size as the previous image I dragged in.
I had no problem dragging and dropping images into photoshop CS6 before this, but now images are not opening when I do so. (I have to manually go find the image in the images folder thru dreamweaver first, then hunt them down and open them manually thru photoshop.)

1200 DPI. To size it back up to 1200 DPI,
Lock all of these layers and then open up
a new 1200DPI file (width 3.4,height 2.2)

then hit Ctrl+T then hold Ctrl+S and resize
the template. The template will look and
print much clearer after it’s re-sized.

Oct 29, 2008I am trying to drag 4 small photos 2x2.5 onto a blank 4x6 but they won't stay there.
I just tried with the same photos earlier using a 72 dpi setting for the small photos and the blank 4x6 and they transferred ok.
When the first 4x6 blank with the 4 small photos on it was sent to Costco to have it printed it wouldn't work because the resolution was too low.
I have increased the resolution of all of the photos but now I can't get them to drag onto the 4x6.
I have the same resolution for the blank 4x6 as the small photos.
They are all jpg.

Nov 20, 2008I recently upgraded to CS3, and I'm getting quite frustrated at it.
I am used to having to select a layer from the layer panel to move it around. Now, whenever I click on something in the image, it auto chooses that layer and let's me move that around. I'd rather not have it set this way. I like to be able to click anywhere while my chosen layer is selected and be able to move it.
It's especially frustrating when I have things in groups. Instead of just moving the layer clicked, it moves the entire group.
Is there a fix to this in the preferences somewhere? I've scoured the menus and can't find anything relevant to this 'feature'.

- I make an adjustment curve on one, and need to drag it to the other open documents - as I do this the mesh data is read again and liquify re applied - but usually applies it incorrectly - this occurs irrelevant of image size, whether the document has image outside the crop area, I've tried selecting canvas before liquifying and before applying curve...

I can solve this by rasterising the smart object on the recepient file - but this isn't ideal for the smart object work flow.
