Quite frequently when I rotate an image with the rotate tool and then work on it, after a while photoshop crashes on me. This never used to happen on CS5.

My setup is iMac12.1, lion 10.7.4
I've tried both draging an image into Autocad and importing it in as a block. When I try to rotates the image it either rotates around a point (but doesn't actually rotate itself) or rotates and disappears only leaving a white outline. How can I properly rotate an image?

Lets say I draw a solid colour rectangle, when I rotate the rectangle the edges become jagged. Is there anyway to avoid this?

i have an area we are running water lines in and are using the aerial as the survey kind of - so it is important that it not shift - but the viewport needs to be rotated
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to rotate an image. Actually, I figured out how to rotate it. But I can't figure out how to fill in the "empty" triangular areas that represent the area between the edges of the original image and the horizontal and vertical edges of the canvas. I would like to fill these spaces so it is not obvious that the image was rotated. How can I do this?
What is the standard way to manipulate images in this manner?

I just installed CC last night, so I haven't had a lot of time to work with the CC apps yet... Bridge has been working fine since the start for LOTS of sorting and tagging images in the last day and a half, and I've opened CameraRAW a handful of times without issue, then this evening I tried to open Photoshop CC for the first time and got a whole lot of strange messages about expired trials and activation problems and other errors and then it crashed... At first I think my internet security software was maybe interfering with Photoshop's attempts to confirm licensing online, but I seem to have gotten that sorted out ... so I no longer get all the weird licensing errors, but right after Photoshop loads I very quickly get the "Photoshop has quit working" error and it crashes. After experiencing this issue I went and tried all my other CC apps and Premiere, Illustrator, InDesign, Bridge all seem fine... just Photoshop is giving me issues.

I am using CC on Windows 7 pro. I previously have had Master Collection CS3 and CS5 installed on this computer... but I de-installed these entirely before installing any new apps. I had some errors in de-installing CS3 so I used the Adobe Cleaner Tool to ensure that CS5 and CS3 had been completely de-installed before starting fresh with CC. I don't expect this previous software is causing any issues, but I figured I'd give a complete account of my situation.

My autocad crashes when I'm working with many similar objects. As the roof shingles. Even when creating a block with all objects, when passing the cursor over the block cause the system to crash (its even worst this way). It seems that the program attempts to process each tile individually (further these tiles are rounded).I've been working with large roofs, such as 9mx4m.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just recently used the CS4 Extended trial (which worked fine). It's 30 days ended and I sadly went back to my purchased copy of CS2 (actually own the whole Prodcution Studio Premium). Now when I try it, Photoshop CS2 loads fine, but then hangs whenever I try to load ANY image. It even displays the thumbnails correctly. Just freezes and then gives the "Not responding" error after a few more seconds when I actually try to click on any picture. I uninstalled CS4 -still happened. I uninstalled CS2 and reloaded the whole suite. Same thing. I then uninstalled it again and then manually deleted all the files I could physically find, reinstalled it. Same thing. I am going mad!! I am running the whole thing on Vista 64 Home Premium with 8 gigs. (And everything worked FINE before the trial, and yes, I tried with and without all the latest CS2 patches AND tried running it in Windows XP SP2 compatability mode already -although it worked fine before without it.)

I've been using CS4 Extended for 3+ years with no problem, and suddenly it is giving me the message, "Adobe Photoshop CS4 Extended has experienced a problem and must close..." This also happens when I try to set Preferences. I'm using XP 5.1, SP3. I've installed the latest updates, but the Camera Raw 5.7 update fails to install.

View 5 Replies View RelatedSo I'm able to use the dashed stroke normally if I create my own lines or shapes, but I'm using an image that I have image traced, expanded, and ungrouped, and I'm able to change the weight of the stroke and the brush but not apply a dashed stroke or a different brush profile, but I'm more concerned with the stroke. Actually I am working on a Catalogue and have to importe and place view of the exploded 3d in boxes and xref bmp files and so on. After a number of computer crashes this morning, I have found that I cannot open the file through it is displayed in preview. At work, I can see part of the file and then a image process something at the bottom left of the screen and I can do nothing more than close Autocad or wait for minutes without ending.

I'm running Windows 7, up to date on all software (windows & adobe included). Using Illustrator cs6, 64bit. I'm running on a new machine as well - though I was having this issue on another computer as well.
I just upgraded from PS 7 to CS2 and found something very strange. Normally I rotate my images in ACDC. When I brought up CS2 in a folder that had images correctly oriented, I found that the entire folder was landscape instead of portrait. They look fine in PS 7.

However, even though I used the fixed aspect ratio, & copied the grey ring to make the white ring, with both in the same position; whenever I rotate the top (white) ring, it doesn't line up with the grey ring underneath at certain points, it seems to be not a perfect circle. So when I add the two images into a video editor & rotate the white ring, it doesn't line up with the grey ring below.

As you can see below the noise in the left hand picture worksfine, but in the right when applying motion blue I get a fuzzy line down the middle, and occasional a sort of beveled effect around the image.If I drop the motion blur to a low count it's ok, it's when I start upping the amount.
