View 2 Replies View RelatedI forgot to switch the frame rate from 29.97 to 12 fps when I started working on an animation and when I switched to 12 fps mid-project the frames changed.
I have a hard time describing exactly what's going on so I'll just post a screenshot instead. Basically each frame has a gap in between and I am unable to line up the frames back to back. I was hoping to find out how to fix it so the frames play back to back seamlessly without any gaps. But yeah, when I attempt to align the frames back to back it won't let me, instead the frames overlap halfway or have this gap in between.
I am using Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 and I am trying to switch from Frames to Timeline in the Animation Panel. I have read in other forums that there should be a menu in the bottom right corner of the panel, but none is appearing in my panel.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen creating a new layer and positioning it in the active frame, the position is sometimes wrong when returning to that frame.
1. create multiple frames in the timeline
2. create a layer and position it somewhere in the image
3. view another frame
4. return to the original frame and the position has changed
Positioning the layer again seems to work, it doesn't move by itself when moving between frames, but remains in position.
How to create key frames for puppet warp effects in the timeline?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm using Softimage 2013.
When I shiftclick a keyframe, then select "copy" from the right click menu everything is all good.
Then i shiftselect an empty frame and want to paste the key frame, but the option "paste" is all grayed out and have ALWAYS been like this for me.
So, this is something that's been a nuisance for a while now, and I think it's time for me to inquire seriously about a fix for it. I'm working with some ani's in max's timeline, and everyso often I find it starts to make use (or I start to make use...?) of "ticks"...I really dont wnat them, and in fact they cause a whole bunch of issues when adjusting keyframes as Im sure some of you can imagine.
Im not sure if it does this because of a setting I choose ( I always start animating in frames mode), or because I often will work in Key mode when Im swapping in a certain pose often...since all my character's animations are in one timeline.
The big question is...is there a way to FORCE these "ticked" keys onto full frames somehow? I've looked through all the timewarps I can find, and adjust <i>their</i> keys to full frames, but eventually it still goes back to ticks....WHAT MUST I DO!!!!! maybe there's a script, or Im missing something obvious?
I keep resetting to frames mode, and rechecking timewarps...to no longterm avail.
there is a way to mark certain frames or certain regions of the maya timeline with labels.
Basically I want to be able to set a label at certain keyframes so that I can export this information for use in a third-party tool.
when I preview my video, the current timeline indicator skips to the next 10 frames and I would like to know if there is a way to decrease the amount of fames being skipped to.
View 7 Replies View Relatedi have cc 7.2.1, and every basic operation i do on the timeline , moving clips, trimiming, scrubing on the timeline everything lags, its not fluid. When i do a simple scrubring on the timeline, the CTI takes sometime to get to the position i selected to do the playback.
But the worst part is the trimming or moving clips, it takes ages before i get an image on the program monitor. If i move a clip into a middle of 2 clips it takes ages to see those two little privews images with timecode, to see where to put it. So is very hard to edit like this.
Another odd thing is when in redering mode i select to use sofware only i dont have drop frames, when i chose cuda i have drop frames!!
I´m editing h254 from a 5d and 7d on externa llaccie usb 3 , have the a macbookpro 16g i7, iris pro and nvidia 750m, and a external samsung, via DVI.
does Max have a limitation on the amount of fonts that it can access. We have Adobe Font Folio 11 and although I have installed all the Fonts from the package onto the system, I am not seeing all of them when I try to access them from the Text Shapes parameters. Not a deal breaker because I can always set what I need in Illustrator and import as paths, but it would be nice if I could see them from Max.

In two separate instances, I have extruded a profile along a path that is a few hundred meters long with no problem. However, when the path gets to around 700 meters, the extrusion that worked fine at 600 meters simply falls apart. Does Inventor seriously have a limitation to length of an extrusion?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI was looking for a simple piece of software to do basic but frame-precise clip editing like trimming and I learned about Corel VS. (Well, I was looking for a tool to work with less common formats like flv, f4v but...)
Anyway, I stumbled upon this message that reads like: "the current operation can't be completed because the current clip's duration is less than 3 seconds". I tried both in easy and advanced edit but I simply can't trim a clip.
I am having a problem using 2014 civil 3D. When I import las files and create a point cloud, and go on to make a surface from those points, it is limiting the "number of points added" to 340134. I am using the lidar las files which each tile or file has an average of 12 million points, and I have tried to create a surface using one file, and up to 28 tiles (where there should be 340 million points). Regardless, one of the files contains 12 million points and I do have the "point density" set to 100, and the "real time density" set to 100. Why will it only use 340,134 points? I have tried all options from "point cloud extents" to "window" and same result. All the points from the cloud are there and displaying fine, it just seems civil 3d is limiting the number of points used for surface.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm using save for web from Photoshop to save a png 24 (so, with transparency). When using png files with transparent backgrounds the colors end up showing a bounding boxes of each element. So if I have a solid black zero, and a red TM om the same image it looks fine everywhere except 3dsMax. In Max it shows as a big black box, and a little red box. The alpha channel reads just fine though.
I am quite annoyed that I have to go back and save all my maps as jpgs with one of them being an alpha map if I want to see them properly in the viewport. I can use the images because it only messes up the outside of the color, but it's difficult to map the placement of certain images. Surely a few people here use Photoshop to create png files for import into Max right?
I have had Photoshop CC and have found large images (both RAW and JPEG) import really grainy. This hasnt happened with previous Photoshops ive owned.
when i scale the image size down it seems to remove most of the grain. ive found one other thread talking about this but they ended up agruing about termonolgy. Im not really keen for that.

I might be overcomplicating it, I thought it might just be play() on the main stage but that doesn't appear to work, neither does getStage.play() so I am doing something wrong somewhere
Ive created a box, turned it into a symbol called box,Inside box i have a left to right animation with auto play turned off.I then went back to the main stage, clicked the box, added action, on click to play, yet it does nothing. How do i Play the symbols timeline?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI use Lightroom 4 and CS6 on a win7/64 PC. When I edit a Lightroom photo in CS6 and save it back to Lightroom as a PSD, I notice that the PSD is slightly more yellow than the original Lightroom image. This is verified in the PSD histogram, where the yellow portion is a little larger and uniform than the RAW version histogram.
This happens whether I export in 16 bit AdobeRGB (1998), and Photoshop is also set to edit in 16 bit AdobeRGB (1998), or both are set to ProphotoRGB. The yellow shift can be seen when comparing a photo prior to and after Photoshop adjustment (no tonal adjustment made in Photoshop) in Lightroom and also when comparing the Lightroom photo and the picture in Photoshop as soon as it is imported. My monitor was calibrated about a month ago, so that is unlikely to be the problem.
Is it possible to have the image numbers carry over from one importing session to the next instead of restarting at 001 each time?
View 1 Replies View RelatedRecently upgraded and am trying to Import Raw photos. The are imported into Lightroom but show up as grey tiles and will not open. When I go to Photoshop CS-5, they open fine. I had this problem when I first opened the program and it was a monitor problem. View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen importing images, the filename prefix, image number, directory, and other attributes are "sticky" between imports (they're remembered so you don't have to enter them again for the subsequent import), however the keywords aren't remembered. I'd suggest they should, just as the other attributes are. Wandering through the discussions, it appears the import dialog keyword field was sticky in 2009. Did it change or is there an options setting somewhere I can't find that would toggle this behavior?
View 4 Replies View RelatedEven if there are NO changes to the settings between individual (non-sequential) images, each import of a camera raw file must be approved by clicking okay for each file. In projects which involve hundreds (thousands?) of unique stills this is needlessly tedious.
Instead, the option of one CR dialogue would suffice that could (again, optionally) be applied to all.Adopting Photoshop’s Camera raw dialogue’s ability to process BATCH images in the window and opening them all in PS seems like a natural solution to AE import hangup.
This should also allow for the option to re-open the dialogue after import on one or more stills to modify the contents and then close.
In addition the fact that AE insists that a still need be at least one full second seems like an unnecessary restriction. Why is it not possible to import an image as just one frame?
The modification I suggest would saves tremendous time and allows for incredible flexibility.
We had an animation project where we have to manipulate1200 stills in After Effects to create an animation. Since the stills were not shot sequentially and the editing/compositing needed to happen within AE, importing as a sequence was not an option. The impediments in basic import functions added a full day's work just to import the files(!). We ended up selecting the images in LR, applying minor correction, exporting the selects as DNG files, importing them into AE (clicking the OKAY button in the CR dialogue for each of 1200 images) then selecting all the images and creating proxies so they were easier and faster to work with. (note: we ended up buying a proxy creator script because AE won’t generate proxies for multiple items in one action)
This is not an isolated case for one project. We require this function all the time. But the tedious importing of 1200 images in one project really broke our moral.
importing Adobe Illustrator files into Maya. Well, now I've solved the problem and was able to export my "South Park" like character (made with CorelDRAW). The problem is that, though the model had colors in CorelDRAW, the model as it appears in Maya, has no colors. It's just curves. How to add colors to the model, while mantaining exactly the same colors it had.
