Illustrator :: Lock Size Of Object Regardless Of Zoom Percentage?

Jan 29, 2014

I would like to lock the size of an object regardless of the zoom percentage. When I am zooming in on a vector map (main layer) the objects (on different layers) becomes very big. So I should be able to zoom in/out on the vector map, but the objects shall keep the same size. How can I do this?

Photoshop :: Set Navigator Zoom Percentage

Apr 24, 2013

Any way to set a default zoom percentage value in the Photoshop CS6 Navigator panel?I normally zoom in and out using the CMD and + - keys, which give 12.5%, 16.67%, 25%, 33.33%, etc.I would like to set the value at the bottom left of the Navigator panel to 31.5%, then click and somewhere and save this as one of the default settings, so that it would replace,33.33% or come between that and 25%

A bit of a strange value I know, but I've found that this value gives me an image on the screen that is the same size as what I get out of the printer.bind having to type in 31.5 over and over again in the Navigator.

It would be great if I could do this, as it's a bit of a bind having to type in 31.5 over and over again in the Navigator.

Photoshop :: Wrong Zoom Percentage

Jul 18, 2013

I have a windows 7 based machine with 24gb of ram and a 560to geforce video card and 980x CPU. have just reinstalled Photoshop cs5 and newest update, Photoshop now opens images at a viewing percent that is a  lot smaller than the previous installation,  currently a vertical image is 16.7% and a horizontal 25%, these should be 25% and 33.3% to almost fill the screen. what can I do to get images to open at a bigger zoom percentage?

Photoshop :: Changing Percentage Of Document Opacity Or Zoom?

Jul 25, 2013

sometimes when trying to manually input the percent number for either layer opacity or image zoom, when I try to type a number I just get a DING sound and it wont allow me to do anything. It goes away after I click a bunch of random things, minimize photoshop and then open it up again. Why does it do this? All I do is click on the percent number, try to input a new number but it sometimes just doesn't allow me to do so. I check all around the document to see if there is anything going on that may interfere but I notice nothing. What is it trying to tell me when it just dings and refuses to change the numbers?

Illustrator :: Lock The Centre Point Of An Object?

Mar 24, 2014

I'm using illustrator (CS6) to animate a simple marionette type figure.

I'm using the Rotation tool to turn body parts around their usual connection points, moving the transform centre point each time.  I'm wondering if it's possible to "lock" the centre point for any individual object to a certain offset from the object's actual centre, so that every time I reselect an object to move it I'm always rotating it around exactly the same place.  I find that if I have to move the centre point from the real centre to where I want to rotate around every time, I'm not getting the exact same spot in relation to the object's bounds, which makes for some weird movements.

For example, the rectangle that makes up the upper arm should have its rotation point always about ten pixels down from the top and in the horizontal centre of the object.   The elbow right at the top edge, but also in the horizontal centre, of the lower arm.  etc.

Paint.NET :: Image Is Resized To Same Percentage As Current Zoom Level

Nov 15, 2013

I'd like it, if an image is re-sized to the same percentage as the current zoom level, afterward the zoom is automatically switched to 100%

Typically, if I have an image too big for it's intended use, I'd adjust the zoom until I get it to appear the right size, then resize it to the zoom level.  (I imagine many people do the same thing).  However, after resizing, the view of the image is really tiny, since the old zoom level is now being applied to the smaller image.

3ds Max :: How To Lock Zoom For Viewport Background

Oct 26, 2013

I'm looking up what to do on digital tutors.   It shows how to add blueprints to the viewport background and have it locked in via bitmap so that you don't need to use planes.  I was doing fine following the instructons until it showed a button to lock the zoom/pan into place so that the image won't remain a constant size even if you zoom in and out.   I can't find it on my '14 version, and where it is placed so that I can finish setting up my blueprints.

VideoStudio :: How To Lock Image Position During Zoom

Dec 18, 2011

I have a high res image of a map and I want to add it to a project and ZOOM in to a particular spot on that image.

I also want the image to stay unzoomed for a short time, then zoom in and then remain zoomed in for a short time.

I have added two 'key frames' (using add key frame) and have applied the zoom between them.

My problem is how to make sure the image doesn't move between the start and the first key frame (and between the second key frame and the end). I know that I can drag the RED CROSS using my mouse but I am finding it almost impossible to end up with the image without at least one black stripe on one edge (ie image not centered).

The result is that the resulting video clip moves slightly on the screen between the start and key frame 1 (and also between the zoomed in image at the second key frame and the end of the clip).

Is there a method like 'snap to grid) to force the image to the same place as the previous key frame?

Photoshop :: How To Resize Layer In Percentage Relative To Image Size

May 2, 2013

Say I have an image that is 100x100 pixels. And I want to take one of the layers and resize it to 50% of the image size, so that it is 50 pixels. How can I accomplish that?

The reason I ask, is that have multiple images all with different size. But I have a signature (ie. watermark) that is always the same size. I want to be able to place this signature, and then resize it to XX% of the image it was placed on. That way, it should always have the same proportions.

Illustrator :: Size Of Object Without Including The Outline

Jul 12, 2013

I have a 100mm x 100mm grid set up with 10mm divisions. I draw a box 100mm x 100mm and snap to the grid. I then put a stroke of 1mm on the box and want to resize to 120mm x 120mm. The box will not snap to the grid accurately because the box is now 118.811mm and does not know whether to snap to the top or bottom of the box.  This makes for horrendous mistakes in my artwork. I need to view the size of the box as 120mm x 120mm irrespective of the stroke width. I'm on CS5.5 but have CS6 here and will install it if it's the only way to solve it.

Illustrator :: Changing Size Of Object Doesn't Stick?

Aug 23, 2013

Tricky one to add a title for but if I am resizing an object precisely using the W Value and H Value fields, for some reason the size I enter then changes. So, for example, I have an object that is 57.15mm wide. I then change that value to 57mm but when I click return it then changes back to the 57.15mm value. This appears for all other values. So if I change it to 60mm it then changes it to 59.972 mm

Not really sure what setting I have that's making it do this. My document is set up in mm.

Illustrator Scripting :: Making Object The Artboard Size?

Jan 24, 2012

trying to make an object the exact size of the artboard.  This is something I do on a daily basis for several different reasons and it would be very useful if this can happen automatically for whatever size the artboard may be.  As I understand it the only way is with a script but I have no experience with making illustrator scripts, im definately no programmer.  I have set up quickkeys in the past to copy from the artboard inputs when you are on the artboard tool but these round to the nearest .01 and this is not accurate enough for what I am working with.  Also if I do this with multiple pages open illustrator is very slow to respond to the artboard tool.

Below is a script that I saw on here that I believe may contain what I need but now knowing programming. Where to start on editing.  All I need is the part where an object is placed on the artboard that is the exact same size as the artboard.

#target illustrator function main() {     if (app.documents.length == 0) {          alert('Open a document before running this script');          return; // Stop script here no doc open…     } else {          var docRef = app.activeDocument;          with (docRef) {               if (selection.length == 0)

[Code].....

Is there any way to lock an object to a certain point in the text, so when the text changes the object follows? Does it

3ds Max Animation :: Lock Sub-object Face Selection

Sep 6, 2013

I have a triangular shape that is against a thin surface. I need to move the pointed end around but I need for the wider end 'face selection' to stay put or be locked in space. The rig was made with bones and skin with constrain and look-at controllers on the bone and nub.

I've tried linking verts to point helpers with linked xform and I've tried every kind of contrasting I can find and I just can't get the result I need. My goal is to have the end faces lie on the thin purple wall and be perfectly locked to it so that when I move the point everything else follows but the faces against the wall to be rock solid.

You'll see me move the pointed end around. Then you'll see me select the faces on the end.
