I have multiple layouts with different scale values I need to get to the same percentage. I don't see anything within the info dialog box, or transform or appearance attributes? Is this something that's viewable?

I want to know if it is possible to get more than 2 decimal places in the Print Scale Percentage option box (as shown below)?
It seems to round to 2 and I would like to get at least 3 for better accuracy.
When I printout a file at a reduced size, is there a way to add the percentage that it got reduced by on the printout?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am batch scanning 35mm slides 15 at a time using an Epson 1680. I have been playing with the various dpi's and scale to find the best settings so I can cut the slides and paste them into Powerpoint for a lecture. What I have been finding is that when I cut the slide from the scanned image (of 15 in the holder) and place it in my powerpoint slide and then enlarge it, it is too blurry.
I have tried enlarging the dpi to 2400 but the computer won't scan it. I seem to get OK images in powerpoint at 90dpi and 800% scale but I really want them sharper.
How can I do this? Is it best to scan the slides individually and not use the holder?
More importantly, although the slides look OK on my laptop how will they look when they are projected onto the big screen. I do't want them to be too blurry.
I have an illy file that has several "linked" images.
Some of these I wanted to keep and have embedded.
However, I would like to delete two in particular...which the images are no longer available or desired. But I see no way to do this.
I have tried to go to outline mode/wireframe view... and there are no boxes indicating where these images should go...so I can't delete those.
The two images that Illy keeps asking for when I open the file have a red ? to the right of the image names.
How can I permanently get rid of these?
My designer has created an Illustrator file on his Mac that has linked images. When he sends me the all the files and I open the ai file in Illustrator CC on my Windows PC, I need to re-link the images. One image can't be found at all.
However, if I open the file in CS4 it finds the linked files no problem.
Is this some bug in Illustrator CC for Windows?
I love that Photoshop CC has a way to modify rounded corners on rounded rectangles, but when I try to scale the rectangle with the transform tool, the rounded corners keep the same measurements rather than scale in proportion to the rectangle size. Is there an option that I'm overlooking here?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm working on a project involving DDS files. I'm working on the UI for the program, and we are re-writing and re-working the calls to DDS files. Part of the change is that we're changing from a pixel reference to a floating point %. However, my ruler options don't include a %. Aside from doing the math manually, is there a way to show a location on an image as a %?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI am trying to add text to my scanned watercolor illustrations for a childrens book I wrote. I am using Illustrator and I just loaded a jpeg image into illustrator, and it is HUGE! I tried to use the scale tool and I can't figure out how to get the jpeg image to shrink down to fit in the box! All I get is a blue snowflake and also a menu w/ choice of uniform or nonuniform for the scale.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was working on a project and I did a very silly mistake with the measurements.
The mistake: Lets say that instead of doing 5 cm I did 5 mm
What I did: Scale the entire art by 1,000%
Result: Looks perfect on the screen and it is the accurate size.
-> The Problem: Now when I export it to JPG or other format it comes out pixelated. I even tried increasing the resolution to 2,400 dpi (I think it is the highest but it is still pixelated)
I'm new to illustrator, but since all the art is vectorized I thought I could change the scale as I pleased and still have a neat image on both the screen and when I export.
Say I have an image that is 100x100 pixels. And I want to take one of the layers and resize it to 50% of the image size, so that it is 50 pixels. How can I accomplish that?
The reason I ask, is that have multiple images all with different size. But I have a signature (ie. watermark) that is always the same size. I want to be able to place this signature, and then resize it to XX% of the image it was placed on. That way, it should always have the same proportions.
I'm always changing this to percentage. any way to default to it?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'd like it, if an image is re-sized to the same percentage as the current zoom level, afterward the zoom is automatically switched to 100%
Typically, if I have an image too big for it's intended use, I'd adjust the zoom until I get it to appear the right size, then resize it to the zoom level. (I imagine many people do the same thing). However, after resizing, the view of the image is really tiny, since the old zoom level is now being applied to the smaller image.
For example how can I create a horizontal guide at 33%, 50% and 75% down the artboard?

View 2 Replies View RelatedIn the previsous version of Photoshop, I use to do the following so that my pictures had rounded corners:
Open a pictureClick the layer mask button twiceThen use the rectangle tool to get my rounded corners on the preloaded image - Presto, all done!
This does not work in CS6. I just want to have rounded corners (radius 5) to my photos.
I've got an image that is basically banner style:
--------------------------------
|Flag1|Flag2|Flag3|Flag4|

It has four different country flags on it. What I'd like to do is turn that image into a circular image. Hopefully you know what I mean. I've tried to use the shear filter but can't get it to look right.

I'm using Photo Shop Elements.
When I try 'placing' an image into a AI document, it appears to be embedding the file [be it a psd, tiff, jpeg etc]. Why would it of stopped linking the file?
I spotted this because in my Layers palette it says 'image' or the file name next to the thumbnail, as appose to 'Linked File' like it always has done. And in my Links palette, I've got the odd looking icon [I'm not sure what it is] on the RHS. Why would AI be embedding the placed files all of a sudden, have I clicked something?
I'm trying to copy an exact measurement from one item to another but Illustrator is rounding the measurements down to the cloest decimal pont. For example I want my icon to sit on 66.21 px but it rounds it down to 66 px. Below in the middle is the icon that I amtrying to align. I want the 4 red squares to sit in the same middle as the stroked sqaure surrounding it. The surrounding sqaure is expanded because I am using this at various sizes and want the stroke to be consistent.
